ARO update

At the end of August, there was a partial rejection of the ARO trademark because of the name and descriptions. Also issues with the logo.
They had 3 months to rectify, which you would think would be ample time.

But just a few days before the deadline, an extension has been applied for. Which would be another 3 months

So it’s obviously not an easy fix, I’m sure there have been countless people working to get this done and they have months! Yet they’ve not been able to sort it.

Seemingly, you are only allowed one extension. This would take her to the end of February. So pretty much a year since she’s launched and it’s no further forward, if anything she’s in a worse position. What a disaster.

The only one not accepting reality here is you I’m afraid. Your over exaggerations are somewhat amusing.

A disaster would be products with no sales. Not the standard back and forths with trademarking.

They won’t get the TM and it’s very upsetting to some people but also very amusing

You are allowed to use geographical locations if

• your business is physically located in that location (ARO isn't, it's in Montecito)
• it is predominantly selling goods that are made in that location (wasn't one of the things ARO was bounced for was insufficient information on the products)

Also there are examples of long established firms who were trading long before these stipulations coming in who can continue.

Moot. The point is that trademarks are rarely straightforward. William and Kate got a full refusal and managed to overturn it. Meghan has got a partial refusal and OP is dancing on the grave of a company that isn’t selling yet.

You chose to live in what reality you want but I’ll stick to the facts and the actual truth. You can live in H&Ms world where only ‘feelings’ and ‘your truth’ count

Meghan can remedy these issues with a disclaimer about locations and classifying of the goods.

And you can live in a reality that does not exist yet. The hard fact of the matter is that the trademark is PENDING.

And what possible disclaimer can you put to remedy the the geo description?

You can’t. That’s why in 3 months they haven’t been able to come up with a solution- why? Because there isn’t a way round it.

The TM has had a partial refusal, one in which they will not remedy. Therefore it will be refused.

It’s why they haven’t issued any correction in 3 whole months, because there is none to make.

So if they were told how to remedy by the examiner, why didn’t they in the 3 months given and why do they need a further 3 months? If the answer is already there 😂

Because it’s untrue. They can’t remedy at all. ARO is toast

The other issues were with good classifications and logos I think

You'll have to let us all know what the jam is like and if you’ve got a dog does it like the biscuits. I won’t be buying but if they’ve enough dedicated fans like yourself putting your hand in your pocket regularly I’m sure it will do well.

Then you should really tell meghan, she hasn’t been able to come up with one in 3 months and has now resorted to having to get an extension.

All this impacting when she can launch. Time is money and all that.
