Catherine’s Christmas carol service details

Kensington Palace have announced Catherine’s fourth Together At Christmas service at Westminster Abbey will be held on 6 December. This year’s theme is celebrating those supporting others in need.

There will be musical performances by stars including Paloma Faith, Olivia Dean and Gregory Porter.

"The service will shine a light on individuals from all over the UK who have shown love, kindness and empathy towards others in their communities," the palace said.

The event, supported by The Royal Foundation, will be filmed as part of a special programme on ITV1 on Christmas Eve.

She has also invited the child survivors of the Southport stabbings.

I hope they are not identified and allowed to be there unpublicised.

Oh that's a gorgeous coat! Nice to see properly fitted clothes making a comeback. I hated the shapeless stuff of the past few years.

It's nice to see so many royals out at this service. I think it is a great addition to the calendar, acknowledging those who do so much for their communities.

Kate looks well and that is so good to see after the horrible year she's had. I'm sure this will get the usual negative reaction but however rich, attractive and famous you are, it is a lonely experience.

I’ve always thought, despite the nasty press, that Carole Middleton seems a kind person. Nice to see her walk in with Lady Gabriella. What a lovely looking girl she is - very queenly. I hope there’s happiness ahead for her.

I think the red with the big black bow is very jarring, i think a bottle green coat would have been nicer

Duke and Duchess of Gloucester - he was the Queen's first cousin, she's Danish by birth.

The Gloucesters have one of the best jewellery collections outside of the royal family. Some really amazing tiaras.

I wonder if it looked better in person than in photographs. Bottle green would be lovely, maybe next year as she has lots of green coats she could use.
