Meghan in LA this week at some fancy launch party. Think these are her friends who own a high end salon.

The wavy hair has made a return, I’m guessing this is the new look she’s going for, for the rebrand. Jury is out out for that particular style- mid parting, flat waves. Thinks she suits a side part, with full waves. But hey!

Personally I like the paired down eye make up look. I always thought the heavy lashes and dark shadows were a bit much for royal duties (I feel Kates is far too heavy on the smokey eye too!)

But it sure does make her look different. I do think ita just make up and not surgery…but other posters are better at spotting these things.

Harry not there. They are her friends, so no real reason but when it’s a social event, doesn’t look great that they aren’t together….again

Yup! They were not leaving to lead a low key life. They were starting their own alternative royal court.

What Commonwealth tours? They went to Nigeria and Colombia no? Nigeria was for Invictus. You don’t need superstardom to do these things. The idea is that you do things- first in your professional life (aka Gates, Clintons and Obamas and Clooneys and Oprah) where you achieve great success (both H&M had moderate success by these global standards), then you can leverage that in your second career for influence and philanthropy. (Or if you are born into a hereditary monarchy, you just get to do this by the accident of your birth rather than through education and achievement). It is clear that when they left they thought these were the circles Harry’s royal lineage and the worldwide interest in their story would give them. Clearly both as a result of the pandemic and their own missteps they are not where they thought they might be.

I also suspect that Harry underestimated how the RF would react to Spare. They just didn’t respond and iced him out. He found out about Kate’s cancer as we did. And then released a public statement wishing her well, suggesting that all internal sources of communication have totally ceased.

What's happening with Meghan's podcast?

It was bought by Lemonada (a woman focused brand) and it seemed at the time that more would be produced under that umbrella. Spotify built a studio for them so I assume that's still there.

Not heard anything else about podcasts or about Lemonada either.

There might be something after her NF lifestyle/cooking show is released, maybe more focused on lifestyle/food etc. That was what the Tig was so I always felt that would be a good direction for her to take.

Those images from the hair salon launch were released by her PR, so I don't think the low key life is really what she wants, I think it was a recent opportunity, probably the only one, to present herself to the public as having been at an event.

Harry must be sick of being her sidekick, so is trying to get back to the basics of what he did as a RF member.

Unfortunately they are completely dependent on people commenting on them- that’s how they make their money. It keeps their name in the papers and that’s useful when you are trying to promote brands…for example, her new hair are brand. Do you think this brand would have had this kind of press otherwise?

She's always putting out stories and photographs of her / Harry. As for his disappearance, I suspect she's told him to make up with the RF somehow so she can use them/public money all over again .... just a guess but still 🤔🤡

It is certainly a change in their tactics - she is out and about attending low key events. Perhaps they have realised the Dynamic duo thing hasn't worked out for them. Perhaps they have realised she detracts from Harry's charitable events as she is a controversial figure.

I very much doubt that, she's always front and centre, makes sure she is, even that clip of the children's birthday party many moons ago - takes over, in the main shot and always making it about her ... she'll never change

What internal bias would that be? They have behaved deplorably towards Harry’s family who showed them a lot of kindness and hospitality. I think rather your internal bias is showing..

The last thing I heard was that it had been put back to "next year" @MrsFinkelstein - reportedly they didn't want the launch to clash with that of ARO, but since ARO has so far come to nothing I'm not sure what's stopping it now

Unless it's that Lemonada don't have the kind of money in the bank to afford Meghan's expectations, but then that was always obvious so why link up with them in the first place (unless they were the only company who'd bite now?)

I think you over estimate how much freedom they have in the RF. Harry's other gf had a look and said no way. It's not for everyone and it never seemed right for Harry. He frequently talked about no enjoying aspects of royal life.

It's not as if they could have enjoyed a fabulous life in the royal fold if everything about royal life was what they couldn't stomach.
