Meghan at glitzy launch party

Meghan in LA this week at some fancy launch party. Think these are her friends who own a high end salon.

The wavy hair has made a return, I’m guessing this is the new look she’s going for, for the rebrand. Jury is out out for that particular style- mid parting, flat waves. Thinks she suits a side part, with full waves. But hey!

Personally I like the paired down eye make up look. I always thought the heavy lashes and dark shadows were a bit much for royal duties (I feel Kates is far too heavy on the smokey eye too!)

But it sure does make her look different. I do think ita just make up and not surgery…but other posters are better at spotting these things.

Harry not there. They are her friends, so no real reason but when it’s a social event, doesn’t look great that they aren’t together….again

What has all this money talk and trademarks got to do with Meghan's appearance at a hair salon?

There have been multiple references to those things throughout this thread to show how much they’ve failed and how far they’ve fallen etc

@OneTealSloth again you seem to have mixed up your fervour with what many of here feel. Some of the things you quoted - have never even heard of them. They don't live rent free in my head. It's light MN reading and banter. You really take this too seriously imo.

Perhaps for you but there are a few super invested folks on here, I typically respond to those. Noted your username to not respond to you lol

CustardCreams2 · 20/11/2024 11:18

M&H have failed and fallen far from the popular success they envisaged. Their credibility and likability is no longer salvageable.

I see.

Given his recent inheritance from the Queen Mother, who knows, I doubt money was right at the top of the list.

Harry has admitted, publicly, he did it for the money because 'his father cut him off'.

The list also included vengeance against his family, wanting to convince the public they were victims, expecting global sympathy for his miserable privileged life.

"

The truth always stings.

Yet here you are ....

OneTealSloth · 20/11/2024 13:05

Someone asked why I was talking about certain topics and the reasons were given, it’s that simple 🤷🏽‍♀️

Not a big deal at all.

DollyTubb · 20/11/2024 13:31

Do you think the RF and staff buy their fleet of Lamd Rovers at full commercial rates?

@itsjustalittlebitfunny555 most people/businesses will get some sort of advantageous deal when buying a new fleet of Land Rovers (other marques are available) - even gasp the 'great unwashed' (sorry can't remember who accorded the GBP that accolade).
As for RF investment in businesses you can look that up on the Companies House Website.

I don't understand where you're coming from. You say you're standing up for H&M against the 'haters' and will continue to do so (👏) and yet you continue to stir the pot as soon as you see a middle-of-the-road post, almost as though you like the drama? Yes, there are a few extremists on here but a lot of us are just interested in the couple and really don't get that worked up about them. Perhaps you class yourself as one of the extremists?

Irregular verb time:
I defend
You obsess
They hate

Accurately put, jouxlake, but the point so often missed is that none of these complaints were heard of before H&M failed to get their own way over the "Megxit" arrangements

If he really was so unhappy in the UK then he's a far better actor than seems likely from the look on his face if things don't go his way, and it could actually be argued his accusations may have had more weight if made while still here

The decision to move was rightly theirs, but all they've done is isolate themselves from any real chance of having influence - and of course from sources of yet more stories

I love the way H & M are described as “money hungry” when they are at least attempting to earn money for themselves.

And yet Kimg Charles is not “money hungry” I suppose when he paid no inheritance tax on the fortune he inherited from the late Queen?

Or because he and Camilla have access to a vast property portfolio?

And of course we don’t know if the late Queen was “money hungry” or not because she successfully lobbied government to change a draft law in order to conceal information about her private wealth from becoming public.

Ditto we don’t know whether Prince Philip was “money hungry” or not because details of his will will not become public for at least eighty-five years or so, a privilege that none of us on this thread will enjoy.

And William is not “money hungry” when he is allowed to pay an undisclosed “voluntary” amount of tax on income from the Duchy of Cornwall?

And Sophie and Edward are not “money hungry” for living in a 120-bedroom stately home worth £30 million, for which they have extended the lease for 150 years for £5 million, for doing a job with much fewer hours and far less stress and complexity than your average NHS manager?

Wins the award for the most whataboutery post ever, you missed out Andrew though that’s something new at least, can’t get particularly excited about your supposed gotcha, it’s old news take it up with your MP or Republic. Yes I do see H&M as tawdry money grabbers, can’t be bothered to list all the stuff they’ve done for the mighty dollar but selling his own granny springs to mind, and let’s not forget the pair of them were happy to stick their noses in the royal trough themselves, in fact, what was it they wanted? Oh yes, a progressive new role within the institution, also known as having your cake and eating it, the royal trough that they all feast from wasn’t enough for them, so yes money hungry.

CathyorClaire · 20/11/2024 21:06

the royal trough that they all feast from wasn’t enough for them

Absolutely correct.

They never appreciated how cold it could become beyond the confines of the royal farmyard.

Awesome peeking-behind-the-cushion entertainment for the rest of us
though 😁

WinterCrow · 20/11/2024 21:09

I'm a mild-mannered republican who would happily see the immediate unroyalling of the York adults and Harry. Meantime, unravelling it is.

I didn't expect it within two years but here we are 😎

I believe Land Rover have held a royal warrant since 1951.

Do you think the RF and staff buy their fleet of Lamd Rovers at full commercial rates?

I don’t imagine they buy them at all. Fleets are generally leased or bought using asset finance as it’s much more advantageous to do that than buy the vehicles outright (far better from a tax, capital and balance sheet perspective). And I do think that the Palace pays general commercial rates of interest on its financing, yes.

I genuinely don’t. Can you please clarify? Thank you

RedRosesPinkLilies · 21/11/2024 06:46

Nope. Sorry if you don’t understand.
It’s ok, it’ll save your righteous anger flaring again - that’s bad for your blood pressure etc.

OneTealSloth · 21/11/2024 06:53

Ok, if anyone else wants to clarify - I’d be grateful

CoffeeCantata · 21/11/2024 08:29

Gosh - Meghan attends slightly tacky salon launch. Wow - service is really universal, isn't it?

And 'glitzy', too, you say?

Keep up! I asked you why all this trademark and money stuff was on here. You specifically said you wouldn't respond to me because of my name 🤷‍♀️ 🙄 yet you did 😂
