William says past year “probably hardest in my life”

PrettyFlyforaMaiTai · 08/11/2024 08:11

William has opened up about how difficult the past year has been with the cancer diagnosis of both his wife and father.

It’s nice to see some light being shed on the perspective of the loved ones of cancer sufferers. I hope that this might inspire a new patronage to help those in a similar position, especially knowing how privileged his family are in terms of comfort, wealth and access to top medical specialist.

Typically she also turns it completely around to say that people are using this to get at her 🙄🙄🙄🙄

@Spectre8 as well you know this has been debated to death on here before. The reason I brought it up is that the thing she has said today is remarkably like someone on this board. In fact her hate, racism and anti Semitism are just all part of her big mouth. Her x shows amazing similarities to many of the posts I read on here.

Actually I didn't know it had been delayed to death on here

Thedom · 11/11/2024 07:22

@Itoldyousoo

Just saw a picture of the person running that X account you just posted, let's just say she is the very last person who should be criticising anyone's looks, and I am being kind and diplomatic when I say that.

Guess she doesn't have the intellect to follow current events. Another loser Sussex squad with nothing good going on for them in their life.

I do have to wonder if the Sky "journalist" who made the "pre-cancerous cells" comment did so in a deliberately malicious manner, in order to restart criticism?

It's certainly worked.

I'll once again clarify - chemotherapy is not given unless actual cancer is present. It is completely ineffective and actually more damaging to pre-cancerous cells.

Come on now @Spectre8 at least be honest 😂

I think it's more likely confusion around the "preventative" chemo wording. Doesn't make them any less wrong though.

Narinder Kaur exists only to be critical of others. It's the only thing she has going for her. She's another Katie Hopkins saying nasty things to try to be relevant.

She's even made a video now to defend her post about what she posted. In it she still refers to " pre cancerous". You would think for someone whose brother died of cancer she would be more mindful. "You used Kate's pre cancer to abuse me" . Of course she has brought her skin colour into it - oh it's not because of what she said, it's because of her skin colour ? Sounds familiar.

Well obviously it was meant to say debated but autocorrected ...💁‍♀️😆

Absolutely agree. Wonder how many NHS patients will receive preventative chemotherapy for pre cancerous cells?

I've been treated for Cancer twice and therefore had a lot of chemo. They don't use Chemo to treat pre cancerous cells. Chemo is also very powerful and has lifelong after effects so isn't given unless absolutely neccesary. Like Catherine, my first cancer was successfully removed with surgery but Chemo was then given to ensure that it was gone.

According to NK her brother never aged the way Catherine ( in her opinion) has .
Chemo is brutal . Looking back at photos i definitely aged a few years .

Thedom · 11/11/2024 10:47

I hate to be glib..... but didn't her brother die, if so, he wasn't given the privilege of aging.

drivinmecrazy · 11/11/2024 11:20

I have cancer.
Very fortunately we're not impacted financially.
We're not rich.
Does my family not deserve any empathy about the absolute emotional and physical hell we're going through?
Ridiculous that there always has to be a race to the bottom.

Vespanest · 11/11/2024 12:42

Im trying to get my head around the idea that people actually think chemo is some sort of drug that can be given if not truly needed as some sort of bonus drug, it kills whats there with no guarantees it won't come back. Also hate this talk of privilege that can protect you from everything. Whether royalty, pop stars, movie stars, presenters there are long lists of those who appear to have everything killing themselves through suicide or drugs. Had cancer twice my mental health took no consideration to my bank balance, the second time i was financially comfortable, both had time off work, there was still days I wouldn't of minded not waking up, my mental health was in the gutter.

Chemoprevention.

Chemoprevention.

What's Chemoprevention?

smilesy · 11/11/2024 13:26

Humphhhh · 11/11/2024 13:17

Chemoprevention.

Not the same as chemotherapy. Which is what the Princess has had. “Chemoprovention” is things like tamoxifen which are given to women with a high risk of breast cancer. It’s a drug taken long term so you don’t “finish” your treatment like the Princess has

FrozenAntarticSea · 11/11/2024 13:36

The Sky News reference to pre-cancerous cells is clearly an error - they should really correct that. I think they got confused with preventative Chemotherapy and used the word 'pre-cancerous'

Anyone with any kind of knowledge of Cancer knows this. Some deeply unpleasant people have ran with this error to try and minimise what the Princess has been through. Either than or they are particularly stupid or clueless.

You don't have Chemotherapy for pre-cancerous conditions. Every medical expert I have spoken to fears that Catherine had a particularly difficult cancer (not that any of them are easy). It was found in the pathology checks post operatively. This doesn't mean it is pre-cancerous - a lot of, for example, pancreatic cancers are found this way (and am in no means suggesting she has this).

I find it utterly revolting that people are commenting negatively on her appearance at this time in her life.

Itoldyousoo · 12/11/2024 10:42

The Narinder Kaur story is grinding on in the media. She's being exposed for the big mouth she is about anything and everything and is turning it into a " brown woman" can't have a voice thing as opposed to her being a nasty woman. This really suits her agenda.

Thedom · 12/11/2024 11:56

Yeah, however she is exposing herself as a thick race baiter, along with being a nasty piece of shit, to an even bigger audience. She is done.

I hadn't realised where the silly "precancerous cells" story had come from, but it begs the question of how they'd know in the first place when we've not even been told the type of cancer Kate had, far less more precise details?

Sky news have now corrected their article online. Any mention of pre - cancer has been corrected. It was just one reporter that messed up. Anti - Catherine (and sorry to say a Meghan supporter) accounts began spreading it on X.

FrozenAntarticSea · 12/11/2024 13:58

It really shows the level of intellect of those types of accounts doesn't it - all of them - the really vile anti Catherine, Anti Meghan etc. Common sense tells you that it is an error of the journalist. All of those types of accounts are just deranged and so nasty.

Ah - thanks, ThatAvidViewer

I don't use the cesspit of Twitter and would have expected nothing better on there, but glad to hear Sky have sorted it out. It would have been nice to think they'd use a little common sense before spewing this sort of stupidity at all, but I realise that's a vain hope

As for the maunderings of what remains of the Sussex Squad ... best ignored

I am probably wrong but my impression is that for some reason the Squad have been more active in the last few days.

You could well be right, MrsLF ... I've probably missed it through not being on the RF board much recently, there not being a whole lot new to say
