William says past year “probably hardest in my life”

William has opened up about how difficult the past year has been with the cancer diagnosis of both his wife and father.

It’s nice to see some light being shed on the perspective of the loved ones of cancer sufferers. I hope that this might inspire a new patronage to help those in a similar position, especially knowing how privileged his family are in terms of comfort, wealth and access to top medical specialist.

For someone banging on about 'empathy and kindness' you're taking this very personally...so, not as nice as you make yourself out to be.
Of course I feel empathy for those people and more importantly, I can do something about it. Donating, campaigning, hosting refugees. My feelings of empathy directly translate to concrete actions that help.
What about you? Do anything behind starting threads on MN?

Only about as personally as you are. Im sure you wouldn’t even believe me if I told you what I do in regards to charity and volunteer work in my private life. I don’t need to explain myself to you, a person who has admitted they can’t or won’t show empathy to people who they don’t know or don’t know they exist. And who can’t show a little empathy to someone who has suffered from cancer just because they are wealthy and privileged.

Anyway, we will have to agree to disagree on the matter: The phrase “playing chess with a pigeon” comes to mind here. I won’t carry on a conversation who name calls and lacks empathy and kindness by their own admission.

Pigeons are very clever animals, some of them even have military medals so I guess that's a compliment. Thanks xx

I personally would much rather hear W’s plan to give full financial transparency than his personal difficulties, including Kate’s health battles. Their response provided in C4’s doc was woefully inadequate and quite demeaning to the public.

Did I miss the part where Catherine gave an interview with watery eyes and said no one asking how she was? No I don't think I did.

Catherine had cancer, so she received chemotherapy.

I have cancer, I’m not disrespecting Catherine in the slightest. I hope her prognosis is better than mine

To be fair why has the telegraph royal said lesser mortals. That is quite offensive so I can see why she felt disgusted by it.

@Spectre8 as well you know this has been debated to death on here before. The reason I brought it up is that the thing she has said today is remarkably like someone on this board. In fact her hate, racism and anti Semitism are just all part of her big mouth. Her x shows amazing similarities to many of the posts I read on here.
