Harry and Meghans children

I keep reading that Archie and lilibet are not real.
Photos are of other peoples children.
But surely the press would know the truth.
I'm sure they will have seen them being taken to school/nursery
even if they didn't take pictures or is it just the nanny taking them.
That was one of the arguments of leaving they would never be able to
take them to school yet William and Catherine can do school drop off
with no publicity unless they announce it. (First day of term)

I suspect a lot of this and the ' Harry's visa' business is about wanting Harry to come back to the UK, beg forgiveness and blame all his bad behaviour on Meghan ( even though he is a grown man). If the children are fake, then that means it doesn't matter if he is separated from them, and it doesn't matter if he is deported and can't go back to the US.
Re the IVF, they weren't together for that long. IVF often takes far longer and involves more dedication and commitment than someone just getting pregnant naturally. It is not impossible to get pregnant after the age of 35. I did it twice, and very quickly. Also, infertility isn't a punishment meted out on evil people. Why is it beyond the realms of possibility that 2 people had sex and had 2 children as a result? It's far simpler. Even for evil monsters/narcissists/liars/Americans.

@MrsLeonFarrell - those moonbump things are for sale, though.

obviously it’s all nonsense about Meghan, but I think some celebrities have been a bit economical with the truth about their babies.

I do think that older celebrity mums would do everybody a favour if they were honest about the fact that pregnancy over a certain age usually involved a donor egg. I have never seen evidence that people weren't pregnant when they claimed to though.

"If you are in the Royal family there are protocols to follow that have been in place for hundreds of years to stop any speculation - such as what is happening now"

Wasn't there a time when the Chancellor of the Exchequer or somine witnessed royal births?

It was the Home Secretary! There was a story about the birth of Princess Margaret, as the Duchess of York (as the Queen Mum was then) decided to give birth at Glamis Castle in Scotland and the Home Secretary at the time was stuck there for a few weeks waiting for the birth.

Meghan and Harry had every right to choose where and how the birth took place. Imagine your husband's granny taking over and dictating how, where and the doc who assists at the birth if that thread appeared on here the answers would be different.

As for in line to the throne according to many there so far away from it they're not important anyway.

Meghan and Harry have many things to criticise them for but it's gone way beyond that.

No-one was dictating any details of the birth - but the medical team signing the certificate is required in lieu of the Home Secretary attending the birth of royal babies as happened for 300 years. Meghan and Harry could make whatever birthing choices, location, doctors etc that they wanted as long as the doctors who were present signed the notice - this is the bit that didn’t happen.

They are so weird. It's almost like they want people to speculate.

In the OW interview , Meghan said that Archie wouldn’t be able to go to school in the U.K. as there would be around 50 photographers there every day . Harry really should have corrected her . As others have said , the Wales children manage to go to and from school just fine .

And isn't it still considered too dangerous for the kids to ever set foot in the UK now?
There must be mental health conditions involved with their parenting/lifestyle decisions for sure.

Archie has a strong look of Thomas Markle.
I detect a lot of anxiety from H&M on Lili's looks. They seem desperate for her to be a blonde, blue eyed copy of Diana. Which is a very strange attitude to have. I think as a woman who clearly was not accepting of her natural good looks (nose job, possible other surgery, never had her natural hair since childhood) I think having a daughter must be a complicated thing psychologically. If your daughter then has the nose and hair you so disliked on yourself, how to feel about that? How to explain when she's older?

Edited

This is exactly the case with Beyoncé and her daughter and the Kardashians. They have had so much nose jobs etc their children look like the originals.

theemptinessmachine · 22/10/2024 13:41

Maybe the singing seals conveyed pregnancy to Meghan - no IVF needed. 🦭

@Willowgirls do you mean like this " not real" ?

Here I am @Spectre8 too 🥱

I've seen posts here on MN suggesting people get therapy for extreme anxieties about their children. It's a fair point.

Wasn’t she 36? I conceived first month trying at 36 and 37 and know several others who did too. It’s not that unusual.

Shexwas also in peak health, not remotely surprising.

🙄 not got any new H&M news to pick apart now it's the children. Let's see if the regulars come here ro condemn this utter garbage or stay quiet cos if this was a post about W&K they would be here already condemning this

I won't lie to you, Spectre - it is a dull day when Meghan and Harry stay at home and mind their own business.

But that's hypocrisy on my part because that's what I say I want them to do!

Eeuuw...how embarrassing for eveyone. And a good reason not to become Home Secretary!

I think they don’t leave the mansion very often. Probably looked after by a team of staff and nannies, and I wouldn’t be surprised if they kept them out of the school system all together until they’re older. I suspect they’re quite isolated and don’t go very far.

I agree. Even ignoring the crazier speculation about the children, I can't imagine they have a very 'normal' childhood, what with no extended family except for Doria and such paranoid parents.

I hope they do attend some kind of school/kindergarten and have play-dates...but quite how that works in the world of H & M and their paranoia about their privacy, I cannot imagine.

What notice are you talking about? If it's the notice that is posted at Buckingham Palace, that is not a legal document and has nothing to do with any requirements surrounding a royal birth. Royal births are legally noted the way all births are: with the birth certificate.

CabraCadabra · 22/10/2024 14:11

Why would they even bother having fake kids?

What's the German documentary about?

MrsKwazi · 22/10/2024 14:22

Maybe the real births was actually 3 days before they were ‘born’, continuing the trend.

nationalsausagefund · 22/10/2024 14:49

Maybe the real Archie and Lilibet are the friends we made along the way.

So I don’t normally participate in threads like this for the same reason I don’t in the Andrew threads - there’s nothing interesting to debate in this one because it’s a crazy theory, and there’s nothing to defend in the Andrew ones so no point getting involved.

However… I am interested in the subject of conspiracy theories and how they take hold - we are also in a weird period of history right now where there’s a growing number of anti science, anti evidence and anti logic conspiracies which are taking hold and being easily spread by technology.

There were always going to be some crazy theories about the births - I remember similar things said about Kate and William’s kids when they were born and also Victoria Beckham - people saying there’s no way they could bounce back that quickly from giving birth so must have used surrogates etc.

But Meghan and Harry also did some odd things before and after the birth of Archie which has fueled the craziness. Some of which for privacy reasons was understandable - some which seemed to be for vanity and PR purposes in hindsight probably wasn’t the best move.

CurlewKate · 22/10/2024 16:12

@wordler "But Meghan and Harry also did some odd things before and after the birth of Archie which has fueled the craziness"

What sort of things?

Maray1967 · 22/10/2024 16:25

I’d have a long hard think about what you’re reading.

My 16 year old has more critical skills than an adult who is wondering whether any of this true.

DramaLlamaBangBang · 22/10/2024 16:28

I suspect a lot ofcthe things they did were as a result of Harry's paranoia and hatred of the press. He didn't want them anywhere near the kids so did things like not announce when Meghan was in labour etc and because the press didn't like it they made it into a big deal. I mean frankly, the standing on the steps of the hospital thing and parading the baby around is a fairly modern ( and frankly unpleasant and inconvenient) thing to do and I doubt anyone knew when The Late Queen went into Labour, so why should we all know?

wordler · 22/10/2024 16:36

CurlewKate · 22/10/2024 16:12

@wordler "But Meghan and Harry also did some odd things before and after the birth of Archie which has fueled the craziness"

What sort of things?

The shapewear thing - there’s no doubt in my mind that Meghan was actually pregnant her whole body and face just after the birth isn’t the sort of thing you could fake. But she was also clearly padding or using shape wear on engagements when she was pregnant - to make the bump a more attractive shape? But she didn’t keep it consistent - and you could see it moving in a way that pregnant bumps just don’t do.

The mess of press releases around the birth - totally understandable to not announce arrival at hospital, labour and hospital discharge to the press to keep things private and avoid the banks of photographers that Kate faced. But for some reason - trying to manipulate the news cycle perhaps - they announce that Meghan is in labour when she’s already back home with the baby - of course when the birth certificate was released it was clear there had been some weird deception.

And the photo call - timed for the US audience and trying to give exclusive access to an American network. Understandable in hindsight if the plan was to ultimately court a US audience but at the time seemed odd and added to the mystery of why they were doing everything so differently to all previous royal births.

The mess around the birth certificate - odd for a significant document for a child in line to the throne to have to be changed.

And for me the way they talk about the pregnancy and birth seems peculiar. Meghan not being able to access any mental health help during the pregnancy when she had a top notch private maternity team - there’s no way a VIP patient isn’t getting asked about her mental health during prenatal appointments when it’s standard practice for even us plebs.

And Harry’s description of the birth is so absolutely bonkers in Spare it makes no sense at all. Timings, eating Nandos, the speed at which they left the hospital, using all the gas and air.

So just lots of little peculiar things - but that’s how they seem to manage everything they do - it’s one of the things that makes them so fascinating.
