He looks rather distinguished with the beard , which appears to be remaining in place.
Was nice to see his Spencer cousins supporting him - I loved all of their dresses, and Beatrice as well.
A worthwhile cause supporting young people moving on and up out of homelessness.

I have gone off the beard now, it looked great when he was tanned and in casual clothes. I think he needs to get rid of it until his next summer holiday.

It is a great cause and some very inspirational stories from the winners.

Love William with his beard 😊

BigBirdies · 19/10/2024 15:24
  1. Someone should be kind enough to tell him just because you can wear a beard does not mean you should.
  2. Oh the looks on their faces at those raised fists. They read Spare.
  3. The man who rocks a ginger beard is sexy.

I think his beard looks good.

theemptinessmachine · 19/10/2024 15:40

😂 @BigBirdies

Baital · 19/10/2024 16:50

Wasn't it Diana who first got involved in Centrepoint?

They do a lot of good work, nice to see William supporting it after his mother.

Personally I don't like beards! But each to their own.

Lifestooshort71 · 19/10/2024 16:55

I'm not keen on W's beard but each to their own. Oh, I've just realised it reminds me of that magnetic screen we had as kids where you could move the iron filings round with a magnetic pencil on a pre-drawn face to make hair/beards etc.....hmmmm.

Ah @BigBirdies you're working hard today. Sadly convincing no-one.

BigBirdies

Oh the looks on their faces at those raised fists. They read Spare.

You think so?
They look far too bright to me to have read some ghost-written drivel about some Hooray Henry, his todger cream that made him then think of his mummy's lips and how his brother was better endowed in the sausage department.
I think they look very pleasant.

Uricon2 · 19/10/2024 19:56
  • *@BigBirdies That photo of Harry was taken in 2018, before he married Meghan. I think if you look at more contemporary images he's definitely going the same way as William, follicularly.

Bless your heart.

William just needs to own his dorkyish persona and stop trying so hard to be something he is not. He is uptight and far too…oh I don’t know seriously boring.

It is a great cause. His cousin Kitty spoke up about him too. I think she is estranged from her father (H and W’s Uncle Charles).

I also hope that the brothers reconcile to each other (although the highly speculative, often wrong tabloids do not know whether the brothers are in private contact nowadays). Time will tell.

I don’t need to convince anyone. 😉

He’s not trying to be a sleb though, is he? He’s allowing those people that he is supporting to take the limelight. William has nothing to prove. He is heir to the throne. “Boring” as you put it is also uncontroversial which is how a royal should be. Taking the piss out of what you think his personality to be (and, of course, that is only your opinion) doesn’t change the fact that he is first in line to the throne 😊

ThePoshUns · 20/10/2024 20:45

I don't think William is 'trying' to be anything.
He is the heir. He is doing what is expected of him.

Thedom · 20/10/2024 20:59

I agree Willian is not trying to be anyone, he is the Prince of Wales and heir to the British throne, he has a very dignified presence and, what appears to be, a genuine calm aura about him.

Gorgonemilezola · 20/10/2024 22:59

Big birdies has obviously chosen her photo examples well. As have I 😁

Harry really needs a good groom in that photo. His hair looks so unkempt.

I'm not a fan of beards at all, but at least William's is trimmed.

My husband is balding, like William he isn't trying to pretend he isn't and keeps his hair short (I think William could go shorter actually). Harry will soon look like Friar Tuck, he's fooling no one with the dry frizz and the Photoshop. Wonder if he's regretting making such an issue of balding now? Just cut it short man!

JADS · 21/10/2024 07:51

William looks a bit like Gareth Southgate with a beard!

The Spencer ladies looked lovely, but I don't get the matchy match look. I thought that was a touch odd.

JSMill · 21/10/2024 10:25

Omg he does look like Southgate! I think it's because they both have long noses. Why are men so fond of beards these days? I got used to dh's unfortunately as it's a lost cause but now my two young adult sons are covering up their lovely faces with beards. At least they keep them nice and trim.

Quite.
So often, things like "dorky", boring" and "geek" are what the less bright call those who are more intelligent.
"Ooh, they went on about such and such - so boring!"
Meaning "I know nothing about/don't understand the subject".
Maybe William should have tried to do a bad juggling act in a desperate bid for attention?
