When it comes to William and his people interactions, however, he is over the top in his mannerisms and facial expressions - he tries too hard and it shows as he is not a natural people person. This is why in the good ol’ days when they (W and H) appeared together they were so cool. I think each is lesser without the other. They obviously could never have shared a throne and William is going to look dignified enough when his time comes to be all formal. However, out and about and mucking in with the plebeians is definitely not his forte. Now Harry on the other hand is genuinely funny, appealing and relates well with others and has that X factor something that creates a more charismatic persona. It’s why when he goes quiet and non smiley everyone (and the tabloids) comments about it.

The brothers out and about were always more appealing, for me, than when either of them are out with their wives. I also think that Meghan and William work just as hard to relate to people as both share a streak of shyness that Meghan hides better (but not always). Many shy people do become actors and I’d put M in that category. Also King Charlie has a shy streak hence why he has a very performative persona when he interacts, another one who enjoyed acting as he could express himself differently. I also remember it was him (KCIII) who put a hanky on his head to attract baby Harry’s attention for the indoor photo op of the family. Acting is a skill and it does help when it comes to engaging with others.

Harry is also rude and bad tempered. There is at least one video of him being extremely rude to a journalist who asked him a perfectly reasonable question. I know he isn’t a fan of the press in general, but there is never a need to be rude just because you don’t like something. You can still decline to speak to someone in a gracious way. Harry is also on the record as having been physically aggressive to at least one of his bodyguards and to the late Taylor Hawkins. So I’m not sure he can be said to be someone who relates well with others. That requires you to deal the same with people who you do and don’t like, or who may not be someone who you wish to impress. I think the same is true of Meghan

I would say that absolutely everything is the opposite of what you said there.

I really, truly do not understand why people say Harry is charismatic. Charisma - exercises a compelling charm. Nope, not Harry.

I do think William comes across well when interacting with others. Harry often looks just plain bored.

As for Meghan being shy - you're having a giraffe mate. If she was shy she wouldn't always be grabbing the mic and placing herself centre stage, and making everything about herself - she'd surely be more comfortable with the spotlight elsewhere.

Meghan might be a lot of things but shy is not a word I'd connect to her.

Someone who seeks the limelight is not shy. Ignores, rebels against royal protocol is not shy. Shy people want to blend in.

William always comes across to me as someone who is serious about his role. He can be light hearted but most of his focus recently seems to be on serious causes and events that probably are hard to joke around at. Having said that, he has been to a few schools recently and seemed natural and funny with the children.

William's interactions with the public are generally good. He has had to work on them as did Diana and Charles; I don't believe any of them found it easy because they are all quite shy. Within the scaffold of the RF, I think Harry found it easier unless he was drunk. Without the RF, he does look more lost. His interaction with the girls who won the Diana Awards was really off.

There is a reddit group of ex CB followers, who have seen the light.

Recently the owner of CB has made an announcement that she has to step back because of ill health, has had to cancel a podcast she was working on, etc.. has to hand over to one of her other 'hater of all things Catherine'

It is all quite amusing there (Reddit), pointing out the hypocrisy of how she expects understanding after what she did to Kate. The commentators are repeating verbatim, everythingCB said about Kate when she announced she was ill and stepping back, just replacing it with the owners name.

All written tongue in cheek ..... 'Fake news', 'she is just lazy', 'why can't she zoom', 'her partner has attacked her' , 'where is the proof', 'facelift' etc.

Edited to add - the commentators appear to be quite decent, with the disclaimer that they have sympathy for her going through what she is going through, guess that is why they were kicked off CB or chose to leave.

The rumour started shortly after a State Banquet that Meghan wasn’t allowed to attend as she was only Harry’s girlfriend at the time . Harry accompanied Rose whose husband was on official duty. Apparently Meghan was furious ( widely reported at the time) . Soon after , H and M were in Soho House in Amsterdam (?) in the company of Giles Coren .
The rumour started after that .
GC then admitted he made it up.

The full story is even more weird than it just being made up.

I just googled Harry and Rose Hanbury and just found these photos from the State Banquet. I’ve never seen the before. Rose looks beautiful. Off to research the tiara…
