The point I was making was reminding you about the posters who were adamant that William was having an affair whereas you suggested that all posters denied it.
That’s all 🤷‍♀️

No that isn't what I said or suggested. Maybe you need to read better. I was clear in saying whenever someone speculate about Williams marriage and affair posters like you are quick to condemn them and aay it's wrong to make them but you haven't when it comes to Harry and that's the hypocrisy.

I never said or suggested that all posters denied it.

I hope that Harry is happy with the wife of his choice and the life of his choice, and with his DC (he spoke so often of wanting to be a father).

And as many of us have said, affair rumours are just that - rumours.

We don't know whether they are true - if they're not, then it's pretty shitty to bang on about it (just as it is shitty to keep repeating the rumour about William, which has been thoroughly exposed as wrong). But even if they are, then it is a huge thing for both the adults involved and the DC affected. And they deserve privacy to work through it in their own time.

I at least respect you for being more level headed and not letting your dislike for him mean you turn into a hypocrite

Your exact words ….

“When there is speculation of William having an affair you all chip in and tell people to stop “

I’m not a fan of H&M but I don’t think Harry is having an affair (I’m not sure I even knew there was a rumour). I don’t think either of them have had, or are having, outside shenanigans.

Needanewname42 · 28/10/2024 19:46

I don't think he's having an affair either, but something odd is happening in LA.

The release of the Surf video of him what was that all about?
The visa issues etc

EdithWeston · 28/10/2024 20:03

The visa issues etc
They just rumble on - further filings:

Prince Harry faces new hurdle in US visa drugs row (msn.com)

BTW - I don't particularly dislike Harry. Though I do think that his behaviour has been an eye-opener in recent years (and it is very clear that his word simply cannot be relied on). I'm interested in the Sussexes because I'm interested in all the RF (have been for decades!!) and the ebb and flow of what they do

Twistybranch · 28/10/2024 21:07

If the polo series is out in Dec, then will he be doing promo end of Nov?

Surely Meg would be with him, it’s their production company. I understand that they’ve separated much of their work life ….but that would be unusual. This is their joint business and Meghan was all glammed up for some of the polo filming.

So if she doesn’t appear …..would look very bad.

The alternative, is that she does turn up and she refashions the red Carolina Herrera gown for a third time!
Thats would be a MN thread would last for weeks 😂

Needanewname42 · 28/10/2024 21:18

Surely he's already filmed the promos for Polo?

That red gown, has she lost weight since it was last fitted for her? The boobs just didn't look right.

CathyorClaire · 28/10/2024 21:25

The visa issues

I think these demand full explanation.

Perhaps the Portugese purchase was made in case the visa situation worsens....

Nigella can't go to America because she has documented her drug use!
Should be one rule for all!

Yes she's lost weight, but the gown is poorly designed and the inverted nipple cups atrocity wouldn't flatter anyone.

The dress is an utter abomination that should be killed with fire.

Which will pose major issues for H if he gets kicked out whilst the kids are in the US.

Love that answer to the dress, it's a riot, that must have cost a fortune!

It's a most bizarre dress.
Women with smaller breasts can rock a more plunging neckline (Kate in the gold dress at the James Bond premiere, for example) and look sexy but not tarty.
But the weird U-bend on the red dress does the opposite of what used to be called the "sheepdog" effect. It doesn't "round them up and point them in the right direction", it inverts them and makes them strangely divergent.
Does anybody else remember Marty Feldman's eyes?

It looks like someone tried to make it at home and it went wrong.

It really doesn't matter.

Did no-one learn anything from KateGate?

We learned not to speculate about someone who had made a clear statement about their health, and explained that they wouldn't be in the public eye for awhile, while they recovered.

Has he made a statement?

Needanewname42 · 29/10/2024 08:58

@LaMarschallin yes I've never seen a dress or a top with such a weird 'u neck',
Never heard of the sheepdog effect but love it. I must admit to looking at that dress thinking how do you wear a bra with that - you probably don't.

Kates Gold dress was stunning 😍 absolutely stunning, I never actually noticed the neck line, too busy being mesmerised by the sleeves and shoulders. But I see what you mean about it being low.

Twistybranch · 29/10/2024 09:28

Meh,

The red dress was awful but I think Kates red carpet looks are generally underwhelming. I thought the gold James Bond gown was a tad aging and cruise ship singer….but I liked how she was pushing her fashion boundaries and being a bit more daring.

Don’t get me wrong, she always looks impeccable. Perfectly tailored, fitting for the occasion and her status but she does tend to lean into the prom dress style approach.

I want to die a little every time she wears a Jenny Packham evening gown. Very prom like, not particularly elegant. Nearly every dress worn to a state diner has been awful.

I think it must be difficult for her to choose a gown where the papers are not going to cry it costs £xxxxs. Imagine her in Dior, how amazing she would look. But I can’t see her ever doing that- because she always wants to champion a British designer and has to be careful about how much is spent.

She got a bit of backlash once for wearing a mui mui cardigan that cost £xxxxs. So I get it.

But my god, I really wish she would ditch Jenny Packham.

No

And why would he need to?

He has no formal role, from which absence would be unexpected. He does not need to justify/explain how he is spending his time between public events.

After the PoWess was publicly stated to be on sick leave, and its expected duration, there was no need to wang on about "Where's Kate?"; and in similar fashion there is no need to do the same to Harry when he is between public events. In both cases, I think it's wrong to speculate and feed rumour - if nothing's wrong it's just shit stirring (affairs etc), but if something is up then the adults concerned deserve privacy and whatever amount of time they need to work out how they go forwards and minimise any potential impact on their DC.

Vespanest · 29/10/2024 10:49

Harry is suffering from his own "standards" of silence is complicity. So when there is so much speculation, as much from the so called non existent US tabloids as the UK and much in negative ways to Meghan his silence says so much. This was apparently the palace's biggest betrayal in not publicly dismissing rumours surrounding Meghan and yet here we are. Harry realising it's futile to fight the media as he's now adding truth to their reports as surely if they are lies he'd be raging by now, that's what he said

PlayDadiFreyr · 29/10/2024 11:08

Very good point @Vespanest

Either Harry individually knows that the rumours are true, and isn't making a statement against them in support of Meghan because he knows they're provably true.

Or as a couple they know that the rumours are untrue, yet have accepted (finally!) that sometimes saying nothing is more effective PR.

Funnily enough I'm dealing with a bullying case at work, and there are a lot of parallels on how the bully sees themselves vs everyone else.

I agree with your analysis. Kate makes clothes look good (unlike me, sadly!) but some of the styles she's worn miss the mark.

Personally I thought she looked best when she wore good high-street brands like Hobbs and Jigsaw. They're usually unfussy and stylish - the green Hobbs coat looked great on her.

I don't like buttons and bows or frills or priarie dresses, but obviously those have been in fashion recently.

But at least she didn't wear those funny things Meghan seemed to love - the green goblin outfit etc - strange tight things which wound around her, had a high neck and were topped off with a mushroom-like beret. Meghan too can look great, but oh boy, some of her choices when she was briefly a royal were horrible.

I agree it would be inappropriate for her to spend Meghan-bucks on her outfits though. A few thousand per outfit is plenty, in my Puritan opinion! Perhaps a bigger splash for very special occasions.

Twistybranch · 29/10/2024 11:27

Yeh Kate never gets the wrong as such, in a way that meghan clearly does. But she doesn’t always met fashion expectations or her potential, so can disappoint. Im talking about red carpet/state banquets looks only.

Christmas Day, at the races etc. She looks absolutely amazing and looks perfect. There are so many Christmas Day looks I can instantly think of, where she looks stunning.

I think because she’s tall and has a supermodel figure, she really could look spectacular in some amazing couture gowns. But there’s never really been a stand out look for me in terms of evening gowns.

Meghan I think will always be hit and miss because she doesn’t always know how to dress for her shape and increasingly…..age 😬
