Where is Harry? Sitting at no. 25 in the list of the 50 Hottest Men of All Time according to Harper's Bazaar. Should be renamed Batshit & Bizarre.

That was discussed on another thread - the article is a resurrection from about 8 years ago. When he was unattached and widely considered one of the most eligible bachelors on the planet

Thedom · 24/10/2024 09:59

When he was unattached and widely considered one of the most eligible bachelors on the planet

and only because his desirability was due to being a member of the British Royal Family, certainly was nothing to do with any supposed 'hotness' nor good looks.

Pineapplesandthegovernmentandpunkrock · 24/10/2024 10:32

Strange to resurrect it, re-date it and republish it 3 days ago. Such lazy "journalism" they don't even update his entry. He's about as hot as unwashed underpants now.

Needanewname42 · 24/10/2024 10:32

Pre-Meghan he had a fun reputation. The carefree brother always appeared to be joking and smiling.

And being a royal he was always going to be able to attract females.

Pineapplesandthegovernmentandpunkrock · 24/10/2024 10:35

And being a royal he was always going to be able to attract females.

Surely he and his wife have put the kibosh on that notion now, since they have depicted being in the Royal Family as Colditz with crowns on.

The thing was published 8 years ago, pre-Meghan who knows why it's re-emerged.

The big question is who is behind it re-emerging and why now?
Is someone trying to deflect attention away from the King & Queen?

JSMill · 24/10/2024 11:00

@Needanewname42 I was going to say why would someone want to detract attention from the King and Queen as the Australia tour is going so well then the penny dropped!

Pineapplesandthegovernmentandpunkrock · 24/10/2024 11:03

I think it's useful clickbait for the publications when H&M are quiet and not actually doing anything. The tabloids are all constantly rehashing old stories for traffic. They may well be trying to keep H&M sweet, because once they are ready to start spilling the beans on each other, the bidding war will be furious. Harry the Hot surfer dude and possibly newly on the market seems to be the narrative being pedaled - whether that's being planted by his people - who knows? Surely no sane woman would be interested in this toxic mess of a man.

But it's a predictable pattern, isn't it, it's been going on for years. The royals do something, H and/or M muscle in on the limelight. The thing is, they just come across as utterly pathetic now, because it is as predictable as the sun rising, no matter how much their fans shout "coincidence".

Twistybranch · 24/10/2024 11:09

But the good thing is, it can only last a maximum of 5-10 years. By then Megan is in her 50s and Harry will have no hair.

This ‘young couple against the world’ narrative will finally be over. I suspect in ten years when they have two teenagers, they will also be thinking twice about their PR shenanigans.

They will disappear from the headlines and they will realise it was only the drama that kept them together and they will separate.

Needanewname42 · 24/10/2024 11:30

@Twistybranch
Yes they've got themselves into a corner and how are they going to get themselves out of it?

And yes 5-10 years the focus will turn to George and Co.

And their own kids will be questioning why they don't know Uncle William.

I think that's what makes them fascinating, they are like a soap opera without the story writer.

Pineapplesandthegovernmentandpunkrock · 24/10/2024 11:50

You can bet your life that anything George, Charlotte and Louie can do, Archie and Lily will be doing it "better". Once H&M are too old to be interesting to the press, they will just start up on the kids when they are young adults and pit them against each other. And certainly one set of parents will be fine with this, and even complicit.

Maybe he's getting ready to pose holding a big fish 😂

It might bite his surfing bum!!!

Meghan, not to be outdone, has been named on a list of "modern bores" by the Times. Amen to that.

Yes I agree with this. Poor children.

CoffeeCantata · 24/10/2024 15:58

And why they never had any grandfathers...and don't know their own cousins!

Good luck, Harry and Meghan, when it comes to those difficult teenage years and those very awkward questions.

I came across this article from a previously very pro-H&M journalist.

Possibly a reason for the rehashing of old favourable articles.

Sydney moment destroys major Meghan claim

Was it Prince Philip who said something along the lines of people are there because of the Office you hold rather than there to see you?

BasiliskStare · 24/10/2024 16:40

@MrsFinkelstein - thought that article abut Australian tours was very good and to the point - Thank you

BemusedAmerican · 24/10/2024 16:50

H &M were upstaged by that adorable Australian alpaca. Charles got good press for laughing when it spit on him.

Or have any aunts or uncles.

They really have depleted the nurturing, natural bonding experiences their DCs could have had with extended family - share holidays, parties, birthdays etc.

For Meghan she wouldnt know any better as she did not have this grounding and enriching experience in her own childhood - but Harry was close to his many cousins and will soon reflect and feel the loss these decisions will have on his own DCs childhoods - I expect as babies/toddlers the penny wouldn't have dropped - but as they become 5+ he will remember his own experiences.

All they can offer their DCs are transient, transactional, shallow connections with their ever decreasing LA unstable 'social' circle.

ThePoshUns · 24/10/2024 17:39

Thanks @MrsFinkelstein for sharing, and ouch that's got to hurt. True enough though.

He may have done - but Michelle Obama came out the day after the OW interview to advise H&M that the role of service is to actively work hard to redirect and shine the light on the cause for their benefit otherwise it will fall on you.

Not2identifying · 24/10/2024 19:41

@MrsFinkelstein thank you for linking the article. It's interesting to read perspectives from people based in other countries.
