The revolving EXIT door of employees chez Sussex continues

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/article-13922531/Meghan-Markle-Prince-Harry-global-press-secretary-announces-major-job-change.html

Ashley was approached by other clients who were seeking the high-quality counsel she has provided to the Sussexes.

'High quality counsel' that's a bit of a stretch! she should have left when she originally quit, they clearly paid her to stay on at that time.

It's really lousy timing for this announcement, immediately after the employee bullying disclosures, and the spin they are trying to put on it is amusing. Likely the retention package expired at a very inconvenient time and she was not staying a minute longer as their employee.

Sounds like they are pissed off with all the split rumours, People:

Ultimately, their dynamic reflects a balanced partnership, where individual passions complement their joint mission. "With their recent trips to Nigeria and Colombia, as well as their foundation-led events, it is still evident they show up together for the causes they jointly support," the royal insider says. "What we are seeing is a functional and healthy relationship with two working partners, not the contrary.”

Right….so exactly what the RF do but you made out they couldn’t work together? And the guff meghan was talking about that they always move together?

Can they ever just be normal

Twistybranch · 04/10/2024 16:16

On a funny note

People have managed to characterise Meghan going along to the launch party of one of her rich friends setting up a for -profit business, in the extremely rich and extremely white town of Monticeito, which will have exclusive membership and $200 a month fee……as, wait for it…………’local community engagement’

I myself have participated in many local community engagements today…..posted a letter, got milk, returned a library book……….wheres my millions! 😂

Ringing her husband daily? "that kind of kindness"?

Quite EdithWeston. I pointed out on another thread that that section of the US Weekly puff piece was also a massive tell about what kind of a boss Meghan actually is.

It’s spun as she’s incredibly kind and caring, yet what she’s actually doing is verging on harassment - calling the husband of her employee every day while the employee is on a lengthy period of sick leave. That’s a massive overstepping of her role as an employer and shows she really does have no boundaries when it comes to her staff.

Exactly what i thought.

Where’s Kate?

Well on Wednesday she was in Windsor welcoming a young lady with cancer who wants to have as many photo taking opportunities as possible. And she was wearing on trend burgundy 😊

The Princess of Wales hugging Liz Hatton - the princess is wearing a dark red outfit with the side of her head visible. Liz is wearing a green jumper and her head is shaved.

People Magazine on speed dial to market their 'new and improved' 'brand. Is this Ashley's last job as their employee or first job for her clients, I wonder..

This is all so funny. People don't even have to write their content, do they? It's obviously come straight from H&M.

MissRoseDurward · 04/10/2024 18:11

Is it true? Is it necessary? Is it kind?

Most of Spare would fail that test, wouldn't it?

Uricon2 · 04/10/2024 18:11

I'm finding it hilarious that this famed "twin track" initiative has been talked about on this board for weeks and now lo, it comes to pass according to what we know to be the mouthpiece, the People.

Word of free advice for H and M. Too late, won't work.

Ah. Actions speak louder than word salad.

Looking on the bright side, at least the syntax is slightly better than Scobie's, @Thedom
Unfortunately the actual content would give even him a run for his money and it's just one silly claim after another, or as Shakespeare said:

It is a tale
Told by an idiot, full of sound and fury,
Signifying nothing

I don't really understand that phrase as the vision for a PR firm.

Surely PR is about presenting your client in the best way regardless of the truth?

France has banned bosses contacting their employees outside of work time

I think they are trying to introduce something here too.

She crosses peoples boundaries in a show of power, to show how important she is . That will be why she emails at 5am, sends doggy packages to people’s home because she hears on the grapevine they got a dog. Skin kits because they mentioned they had dry skin. It’s such odd behaviour and oversteps personal boundaries.

These puff pieces designed to make her look like a ‘nice’ boss….but she comes across as unprofessional and honestly….creepy AF

Edited

The lip gloss thing was also massively overstepping boundaries, as was expecting Kate to take her shopping just because Kate was going herself.
She just has to insert herself everywhere . Being heard and having a voice is really just dominating and overpowering everyone else. She does it everywhere. Absolutely everything has to be about her at all times .

Theonewhogotaway · 05/10/2024 08:34

I do wonder if Harry and Megan have split, and as well as being hard to work for that’s why some staff are going, there is an odd piece in the mail about Harry;s friend splitting with his wife, and the first words are Harry and Megan are happily married, it reads like they are hinting and wanting us to make the link

all the staff sign nda’s so no one will talk on record. Off record is a different animal though.

theemptinessmachine · 05/10/2024 08:34

You've put your finger on the button there with

"Being heard and having a voice is really just dominating and overpowering everyone else."

And often in an underhand way. It may at first glance look " good" but it's just another technique a narcissist uses to reinforce to themself what a good person they are while putting the other person in an uncertain position.

CesarSoubreyon · 05/10/2024 08:40

Meghan calling Ashley's husband DAILY is so intrusive. I know it's said to illustrate that she's a 'good boss', but if my boss rang my husband every day I was on sick leave I would file a complaint.

Meghan just can't seem to behave normally. Everything is based on image and that's why she doesn't come across as genuine in anything she does, because it doesn't come from an authentic place.

I read that first paragraph in the Mail, two unknowns split, not even married, but the first sentence is about Harry and Meghan being happily married.

The sun has a report listing all the unsubstantiated rumours about the amount of time they are spending apart in different homes, Harry hanging out alone in Montecito. The article also mentions the NYT report that Meghan was living 100 miles away from Montecito, which the Times later retracted and said was a typo.

It does seem like the media are digging around for something.

New article today in the DM about H&M separating their projects: https://archive.is/hKyJ8

There are some interesting bits, along with all the re-hashing of previous info:

Sources in <a class="break-all" href="https://archive.is/o/hKyJ8/www.dailymail.co.uk/news/california/index.html" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">California believe the new 'solo Harry' is Harry's own idea. 'I hear he wanted it this way,' says a well-placed Californian source. 'I believe he wants space.'
A London source suggests a slightly different explanation, saying: 'This definitely feels like he is upping his game to cement his position as a serious player on the international stage.
'He's always been desperate to be taken seriously and people I know say his fall from grace will really have got to him.'
The source adds: 'It is a surprise that he went to Lesotho without Meghan. There may be a good reason she can't leave the kids, but she's never been to Lesotho and that surprises me – it is like a second home [to Harry].

Also, later on it talks about WME and how Meghan is still represented by them, but that they're clearly not taking very good care of her/don't see her an important/a priority. The info in Us Weekly (a gossip rag) is a step down from People (puff pieces approved by celebs' PR teams).

Thedownsideisup · 05/10/2024 10:39

So Harry wants "space" - how interesting. If true then that's pretty much straight from the standard playbook when a husband wants to split.

Puzzledandpissedoff · 05/10/2024 10:51

From your quotes it all seems to be "sources" again, @cheezncrackers, but "This definitely feels like he is upping his game to cement his position as a serious player on the international stage. He's always been desperate to be taken seriously and people I know say his fall from grace will really have got to him" is reasonably believable

Unfortunately for Harry, serious players don't behave as he has, so good luck with that. He is - and deep down must know he is - a completely busted flush, and that the best he could ever hope for among thinking people is a quiet irrelevance

Mylovelygreendress · 05/10/2024 10:54

A “serious player “. So serious that neither he nor his wife were at the very exclusive Clooney event .

Parry5timesbeforedeath · 05/10/2024 11:02

To be honest, although I think a split is inevitable i fear for his mental health when it happens. He has been isolated from his family and friends and homeland. And as someone myself who has been on the receiving end of narcissistic rage I dont think he has the emotional resilience to cope. It came close to destroying me and that was just from a female friend, not from a spouse who will want to get maximum publicity out of it.

Puzzledandpissedoff · 05/10/2024 11:03

I didn't know there'd been a Clooney event, exclusive or otherwise @Mylovelygreendress, but on googling I see it was in New York and held while Harry was actually there

So that's another nail in the coffin I guess ...

theemptinessmachine · 05/10/2024 11:16

It is Harry's title taking him places. He's hanging onto the coat tails of his former Royal life. He's basking in the respect that people and places had for Queen Elizabeth and now King Charles. He realises this still opens doors for him. Meghan on the other hand detracts from such events - the press focus on her, her clothing, her hugs and kisses, her pushing him about as opposed to the visit. I wonder how that conversation went ?

What do you think about staying at home for a while, Meghan?

cheezncrackers · 05/10/2024 11:18

Puzzledandpissedoff · 05/10/2024 11:03

Yeah, it's very obvious that they don't get invited to anything, even by people they invited to their bloody wedding. WME (the PR company that supposedly represents Meghan) held a big event after the Emmys and they weren't invited, Clooney thing - NFA, big awards ceremonies - NFA and not nominated for anything either, Met Gala - NFA. They aren't popular, they aren't feted, they aren't 'in' with the power players and god knows they've tried - or at least Meghan has.

And that phrase from a California source i.e. someone who knows them in the place where they live now, saying 'Harry wants space'. Space? That's what people ask for when they're in the process of separating not just business interests, but personal relationships. Meghan is in the biggest pile of PR do-do of her life right now and Harry is not only not by her side, providing moral support, he hasn't mentioned her name once on the public stages he's occupied in the past 10 days. That speaks volumes surely?

This is how KateGate grew - people widely assumed that the press must ‘know something’ and were publishing hints.

I hope they’re not separating - but even if they are, this is something they should be left to sort out in private and announce at a time of their choosing.

Whats behind the current speculation - nothing more than some solo engagements over a few weeks, a heap of SM speculation and SEO driven MSN
