Because they know the difference between when they are at work and when they are at home, surely that’s obvious? when they are on official engagements representing the British Government and the Head of State they would look utterly ridiculous with their arms wrapped around each other, it’s called being professional.

I think it's quite likely that they made the treatment sound as routine as possible in order to avoid media coverage that the Wales DC would find worrying or upsetting (because once it's "out there", there's no getting it back. There's no way to monitor what their classmates (and their older siblings) see and talk about, so the prudent thing is not to let the info out there in the first place.

It sounds as if she's still convalescent (or maybe has residual side effects) and it will be a phased return to Duties. Not least because if chemo is very recently finished, her immune system might be shot and so large indoors gatherings might need to be avoided for a while yet (I noticed that the only one mentioned was for Remembrance Day - which is outdoors on a balcony)

For those saying what was said in this video doesn’t correlate with what was said in the original statement, do you maybe think cancer wasn’t playing ball and didn’t necessarily follow the path they hoped it would (let’s face it cancer does its own thing, doesn’t care whether you are a Princess or not)

That's because in public they're working. They behave in a professional way. Not cuddling or clinging on to each other, but focusing on meeting, talking to people, involving themselves in the public engagement.
They can manage to keep their hands off each other.
The warm physical affection here is them relaxing as a family in their own space.

She was forced into publicly announcing her cancer, she has given a raw emotional update, to stop the rumours, which is probably why it seems OTT, she had covered everything in one, whilst standing together as a family.

It was nice to have a peep behind the royal front.
