Can you imagine if Jeremy Paxman of old was let loose on the pair of them? I would pay good money to watch that.

I would love that

'Makes a change from forelock tugging'

'And fawning'

Have I found a treat for you, my dear friends! As you all don't know, I'm a massive fan of Jonathan Pie, the satirical ranty news reporter, and I've found a short (3 mins) video from the time of H&M's departure from these fair shores. He mentions 'fawning', oh yes. Best use of 'fawning' ever, possibly.

Having said that, I don't think it's particularly going to please the south saxon skwod, though, if they watch it. Oh dear.

He did 10 years in the Army

And over that decade he made only a handful of speeches/interviews

😂@AutumnCrow that is absolutely hilarious, never saw that before.

@lemonpepperlady I think Harry is exactly that crass and venal (trying to co-opt Diana away from William). He said that he felt Diana had been looking over William while he had his children but had now come over to him to watch him have his children. He has said William has lost his resemblance to her.

I think a lot of his resentment of William is that he (because he's older) had more time with Diana than he (Harry) did. And also quite a different relationship. I think Diana treated William as a confidant and had a more parent-child relationship with Harry.

Didn't Harry say in Spare or one of his interviews that he has no memory of Diana. I agree he is jealous of W for having had longer with her.

Wasn't the journalist fired or suspended, though when the penny dropped?

Edited

Yes. Suspended at least, I hear she’s back working now.

I mean none of that is comparable really and none of it edifying

Only because you deem it so. As I said, it’s funny how some people are allowed to do as they please whilst others are held to a different standard.

CathyorClaire · 03/09/2024 15:03

This article includes that the bulk of the trust went to William and Harry, with Harry getting more. Plus one tranche aged 21 and the other at 40.

That quite interesting given he credits Diana's legacy alone with enabling him to buy the California house.

Wonder what he did with the wedge he got at 21? Some sort of nose job maybe? ❄❄

CathyorClaire · 03/09/2024 15:15

But you don't leverage yourself from relative TV obscurity to the wife of a world famous prince without serious street smarts.

Isn't ARO embroiled in similar trademark issues to those encountered by Archewell?

Shame she hasn't been able to deploy either her street smarts (or her freakish attention to detail) to avoid it.

MummyJ12 · 03/09/2024 15:20

Yes, there’s also rumours about this bag company that she’s invested in, exploiting Rwandans. Don’t have concrete evidence for this yet though.

@LadyGilley

One of the Queen's sisters was an alcoholic who was refused permission to marry the man she loved.

Royal history is not your strong point is it? FYI HMQ only had one sister, she was Princess Margaret. PM was free to marry Peter Townsend however she would have to relinquish her royal status which she was not willing to do, she didn’t want to be plain old Mrs Townsend, the not being allowed to “marry the man she loved” is an urban myth.

Good post, Margaret knew where her bread was buttered, was not going to give up the royal life style. Shame she then met that philandering ArmstrongJones

NanyWytch · 03/09/2024 16:00

I feel sorry for him but he did marry the wrong woman. Hence all this trouble had he took his brothers advice all this may not have occurred. But l hope he comes home and helps out because right now he ought be at his brothers side. If he will have him.

That just can't happen.

Too much scorched earth from Harry and a complete loss of trust between the brothers. How could William forgive him for what he's done, and the sustained campaign against Catherine even after she became ill?

And he will never be trusted in an official role again.

I came to say this. He doesn’t need therapy, he needs activity. He’s obviously spent most of his adult life sitting and thinking how much better his life would be if he was King/not in the royal family. Whilst sitting about doing nothing.
I don’t even get the impression he works with Invictus that much, just turns up to the event. He’s clearly not interested in a desk job shown by leaving the army, I can’t imagine he’s spending hours a day doing work for them.

I think the move to California was absolutely to gain a high profile A lister life that they could rub W&C noses in at being more popular/glamerous. But the invites to the Met or the Oscars never came did they. They’ve never been interested in privacy. It must be hard just now as the one card they have up their sleeves are the children and there’s no way they can present them publicly after making such a fuss.

Good post. In simple terms Hazno is a spoilt brat who expected to get his own way and when he couldn't he half in half out of the rf (to retain the perks) he stomped off thinking he would be worshipped in the US. His biggest mistake was meeting old MoonBump and being caught in her net. Best thing he could do is learn a trade and support himself though I don't know if he could apply himself like ordinary normal folk.

Grammarnut · 03/09/2024 10:40

Pity Palace PR couldn't have done a better number on Randy Andy (who, however sleazy, has done nothing wrong illegal and not betrayed his family in the way Hazbeen has).

Totally agree

So American Riveria Orchard has had their trademark rejected for various reasons, this being one of them 🙄

"In their consideration of her trademark bid, Meghan was also told she needed to cough up another $700 (£532) if she wanted to proceed after failing to pay the correct fee initially."

I mean, what the actual FK, do they have inexperienced overworked interns burning the midnight oil and making these kind of simple blunders.,

So much for her 'freakish eye for detail'.

Only because you deem it so. As I said, it’s funny how some people are allowed to do as they please whilst others are held to a different standard.

There seems to be a memory lapse on Andrew speaking out, as to did Diana and Charles in the 90s. Charles also stated in his biography that his parents were cold and he felt unloved.
it would appear that only certain people have the right to speak about their feelings and situations.

Yes because of course that is exactly the same as what Harry and Meghan have done, how many millions did Andrew, Charles and Diana make by the way?

They have trouble with paying these small fees don’t they? Didn’t their last cheque get lost in the post and caused Archewell to be classed as delinquent? Meghan’s next excuse will be the dog ate her homework.

Yes. It was in no way the finest hour of any of them, but in the case of Diana at least, I think the Morton book came from a place of very deep unhappiness. The interview with the vile Martin Bashir I can't even begin to describe my feelings about, because she was well and truly conned, with disastrous results.

Spare etc, whining and whinging about curtseys and sausages and bridesmaids dresses and lipgloss and dragging in people like the matron and the stablegirl, as well as ill supported accusations against a family they know won't fight back publically? £££$$$ and revenge.

I didn't know this, but these things really aren't rocket science if you just read the guidelines

You really do have to wonder sometimes if either are
capable of getting anything right these days Sad
