Who Killed Diana Docuseries

A new docuseries will be shown, Who Killed Diana? which will explore the circumstances surrounding the death of the Princess of Wales on August 31, 1997. It will feature rare and, in some cases, the first ever interviews with several key sources connected to Diana's death.

Who else will be watching this?

Diana's body was partially embalmed before being flown to the UK. Dodi's was not. Why?

Apply a bit of critical thinking here. What religion was Dodi? What customs does that religion have? Where was Diana buried? How long after her death?.....

This is a good article about Diana's death.
I think on the balance of probability, it was an accident. But I do not believe the full truth was ever released. I think there were lies told to the public e.g. why Diana's body was partly embalmed before being flown to the UK and Dodi's was not.

What lies were told about why Diana was embalmed and Dodi wasn't?

Nadeed · 31/08/2024 16:30

MagdaLenor · 31/08/2024 16:28

They were wrong.

They might have been. I am explaining that people did not make up in their own heads the idea Diana was pregnant. Her pregnancy was reported before her death in the same newspapers that people on here quote all the time to provide their own views about the Royal Family.

What's the point? Who's left to interview? It was twenty years ago!

Hughs · 31/08/2024 16:30

What lies were told about why Diana was embalmed and Dodi wasn't?

The lies about Diana was that this was normal French protocol. But the two bodies were treated differently.
There may have been a good reason to embalm Diana and not Dodi, but it was not for the reason given.

@Nadeed - you obviously haven't read the very article which you have linked!
It confirms there was an autopsy. Why do you claim something, and attach an article countering your claim?

Nadeed · 31/08/2024 16:34

@MagdaLenor I am ignoring you. You are so patronising and horrible to me you do not deserve any reply from me.

@MagdaLenor that is so patronising.
And for the record there are famous beautiful people who die young where hardly anyone believes there is more to the death than is said publicly. So your premise is simply not true.

It is true. Folk believe nonsense about famous people eg Diana.

Hughs · 31/08/2024 16:34

There may have been a good reason to embalm Diana and not Dodi, but it was not for the reason given.

I wonder if you have heard of a religion called Islam, and its traditions and rituals around death?

LyingWitchInTheWardrobe · 31/08/2024 16:34

Ghouls.

So? All sorts of nonsense is written in tabloids.

I am sure this poster won't mind you ignoring her one bit but she has not been "patronising and horrible" to you. You persist in peddling nonsense with no facts to back it up. It's frustrating to read!

I am not horrible. I am countering your arguments.

You, on the other hand, are getting personal

Dodi may not have been embalmed because he was a Muslim.
Diana should not have been embalmed without permission from next of kin. That was not given. It was said it was because Paris was so hot. But Dodi was not embalmed.

Please do not pretend this embalming was routine. It was not.

"The man who carried out the controversial embalming of Princess Diana's body admitted yesterday that the procedure was illegal.

Jean Monceau said he regretted going ahead without official written consent from her family - as French law requires - but insisted he did not realise he was doing anything wrong at the time."

@Hughs do you enjoy treating people so horribly?

Eh?

You seem a bit confused about it all - claiming there wasn't a post mortem and then posting an article which contradicts you, getting in a pickle seeing a conspiracy theory in why the body of a Muslim would be treated differently to that of a Christian.

Diana was embalmed because it's normal practice for those whose religion allows it. Dodi was Muslim, so wasn't embalmed, in accordance with Muslim practices.

There was a post-mortem.

Is there anything else you are worried about?

Nadeed · 31/08/2024 16:40

@Hughs read my post above. You are factually incorrect.

I will post again.
As I have already said I think on the balance of probability Diana and Dodi did die in an accident.
But it is simply not true that everything was done above board as normal. The Independent article speculates that this may have happened because Diana was indeed pregnant as the newspapers were reporting in the days before her death.
I have no idea if their speculation is true or not, but it would explain the discrepancies.

Why the decline to personal attacks?
No-one has been personal or rude towards you, @Nadeed . You started this thread, and people are challenging the points you make.
It is a controversial topic.
People will disagree.

MagdaLenor · 31/08/2024 16:47

Diana was not pregnant, otherwise the post mortem would have revealed this.
There appear to be no discrepancies of note which would indicate that the event was anything other than a tragic accident.

MagdaLenor · 31/08/2024 16:48

@Nadeed choose to believe what you wish, that is your right. Perhaps just consider the counter evidence to the claims that you have made.
