GB News is losing the plot!

I really don’t think there is a ‘contest’ other than in the minds of parts of the media. One brother will be King in time and the other brother wants to leave a meaningful legacy in his own right. So far both are doing a great job in carving out their own lives. I hope the brothers come to a point in time where they can be friends again. Life is too short to hold on to anger. The media doesn’t help by embroiling itself in their relationship - or lack thereof currently. I think many people in many countries would love to see a sense of family togetherness again with all of the current King’s grandchildren getting to know one another. It would show how a public facing family can overcome its own difficulties if KCIII could bring both brothers into line again. It’s time to stop painting Harry as the black sheep of the family. It hasn’t worked, it just drives more dissent and anti monarchy feeling in the younger generation. If we are to have a King William and a King George then the younger generation do need to see the institution as worth holding onto. As Harry is clearly active on the world stage harnessing his global appeal would be an advantageous move by the current King.

Piers Morgan was apparently really angry that Meghan ghosted him, from what I’ve read. The DM then seemed to make it their job to print stories about Harry & M every single day….even now it doesn’t stop, they are relentless. I feel sorry for them.

I feel sorry now for the royal family too because H&M really connected with the younger people more than the rest of them. It could have been a new golden era for them where they cemented their future with the younger generation. They’ve just made themselves irrelevant by excluding their brightest stars.

Basically Harry and Meghan have a connection to the commonwealth that Wills and Catherine do not. Laid out the history of Meghan’s time there, the visits there and Invictus Games coming up in 2025. Basically highlights their ongoing relationship with Canada. Quote:

Stopped watching the news a few years ago. I check our local regional news but have cut out the mainstream national news. They are all biased to one persuasion or other brainwash people be it TV or newspaper. I feel much happier knowing little about whatever is going on in the country and international.

Everyone wants there 5 minutes but it is interesting that GB News is putting out an item like this. Who’d have thought it.

why would you trust a source that has as many legal cases and disputes for fake news and just general shady goings on as GB News? It's not even news, it's just a parody of itself.

I did that for a few years. Just getting back into it all now that we have a Labour Govt.

For all Meghan's time in Toronto, she left there claiming she knew nothing about the royal family, Harry, the national anthem of the head of state and generally showed no interest in the RF. Don't you remember? She arrived in the UK claiming to be an ingenue who just wanted a kind man. The Commonwealth and its symbolism would have been meaningless to her.

Also, I think posting an article from GB news because it's positive towards H&M is fine, but please do own it rather than this odd "losing the plot" narrative. It's fine to look at a variety of opinions from both sides of the political divide.

GB News is totally losing the plot. That's why they're harping on about all manner of shite. Repeatedly. Viewers have complained about their obsession with H&M before. I remember Patrick Christie being pulled up on it on air.

Cheers! I keep clear of output from GB News but it came up on my news search feed when looking up Prince Harry. I fell off my perch when I saw it as they are really quite disgusting in their programming.

Anyway, I hope the royal family can pull together all its disparate parts as it sets a better example for us as a country. It would also help the reputation of UK PLC 🇬🇧.

Nobody is hitting her over the head, don't be silly. She claimed to not know anything about the BRF. That doesn't chime with someone having a close connection with the Commonwealth. I personally don't believe her about the BRF at all, but I still don't think the Commonwealth would have had any impact on her in her pre Harry days simply because she's American and there's no reason why it should.

Far from a car crash, and poor choice of words considering what happened to his mother, I think. The whole situation is very sad.😢
