Welcome to Part 7 of our positive threads, where we explore all things Meghan and Harry. From the causes they champion and their business ventures to Meghan’s (and occasionally Harry’s 😉) fashion moments, there’s a lot to chat about. This is a drama-free space, so let’s keep it upbeat! High five to @queentim for the original inspiration.

Tyler Perry's party was the day before Harry's birthday, not on the day... they stayed for hours, and who knows what they did on the actual day.

How weird to speculate on this, my big one is looming, my DH isn't throwing me a party, awful man! Is it a rule me and DH don't know about given Meghan should clearly have thrown him a big party on the day?!

That post is funny 😂 😁

I suspect people are finding it odd as there has been so much blurb in the media about Harry's private family birthday then his lads' birthday party with international whatevers .....

sausawyee · 17/09/2024 08:20

@Spectre8 why are you telling people to grow up just because someone has a different opinion to yourself?

That's not very nice is it? In fact that is a very childish comment.

smilesy · 17/09/2024 08:34

Spectre8 · 17/09/2024 07:29

Grow up. It's perfectly okay to celebrate your birthday on another day than your actual birthday and celebrate it however you like, big bash or something small.

Of course it’s ok to celebrate on a different day. Just a bit odd to do it at someone else’s birthday party 🤷‍♀️. So presumably he had some sort of celebration on his own birthday. BTW, no need to be rude to other posters 😊

No - it's not very nice.

And I wonder how long threads like this will be able to continue before it HAS to be acknowledged that many posters are happily supporting and enabling a horrible bully?

The evidence for Meghan's extreme unpleasantness is becoming hard to ignore - I can't imagine anyone else receiving adulation as she does on here with the reports (both recent and over the years) of her nasty behaviour. What is the secret of her power over people? I can't make it out.

It's equally childish to be commenting why someone isn't having a bday bash on their birthday. Just a way to have another pop at two people for no legit reason.

CoffeeCantata · 17/09/2024 09:08

If M and H were shy recluses, trying to live quiet, purposeful, philanthropic lives in Cali, or just 'ordinary folk', or if they hadn't sold us all the myth of their perfect love story, then I'd agree with you. But if you court publicity on the scale they do, I think this kind of speculation is inevitable.

And I think the reasons for having a pop at these two super-hypocrites are becoming increasingly legit.

sausawyee · 17/09/2024 09:14

I'm happy to see that @Spectre8 agreed she was childish in having a pop at someone for having a different opinion to herself.

Likewhatever · 17/09/2024 09:16

If nothing had been said about how H was going to spend his birthday I doubt anyone would have speculated. It’s not particularly interesting. I have no idea how any of the RF spent their 40th birthdays. It’s the oddness of announcing that you’re going to have a quiet family birthday celebration and then a separate lads weekend. It’s odd.

Yes exactly. .

Horror of horrors!

Meghan made an effort to dress up for a charity event!

No doubt if she has dressed down she would have been criticised too.

This level of negativity is really getting ridiculous now!

What’s next? Is Meghan going to be criticised for breathing?

Everybody else was dressed down, so she would have matched.

It’s not difficult to understand how you should dress to a daytime charity tennis match, It ain’t high heels and a dress way too short for her age

Ageism and misogyny, how delightful you are.

Thedom · 17/09/2024 12:50

That dress was totally unflattering on her, no matter what event she was at.

The heavy tweed looking type fabric was all wrong for the summer style of dress. Have seen it described on X as the Porridge Dress, which seems like a good description of the fabric and colour.

Theredfoxfliesatmidnight · 17/09/2024 13:23

It was an unflattering dress, it just looked like she was wearing a man's shirt without trousers. And not in a cute way, in a "this looks odd" way. I'm aware you can get shirt dresses, but this didn't look like one! Weirdly if she had worn a proper white shirt dress, possibly with a nice brown leather belt and flats, I think that would have looked really nice on her. She suits that kind of look.

CoffeeCantata · 17/09/2024 13:27

Runnerinthenight · 16/09/2024 22:50

I think differently. I've have expected Meghan to arrange a 40th birthday celebration that was special for him.

Perhaps she wanted to, but very few people accepted the invitation!

It may have been the jam and lemons fiasco all over again.

If that's how you want to justify it 💁‍♀️

CoffeeCantata · 17/09/2024 13:59

And how would you justify the serious allegations of workplace bullying which have been bubbling under in several areas for years, and have now been pretty much vindicated by the recent Hollywood Reporter article?

I think workplace bullying is no joke, and I resent people in positions of power getting away with it. And when those people position themselves as anti-bullying campaigners, humanitarians and philanthropists, I call that hypocrisy on a massive scale.

That's how I justify my attitude.

sausawyee · 17/09/2024 17:07

No @Spectre8 I can see clearly.

Edited

Her friend looked lovely in the tennis skirt. Meghan's shapeless dress did nothing for her.

You post I commented on doesn't talk about bullying it was you yet again saying how if they behaved this way or that way or did this but not this. And if they dont then its becoming more legit to have a pop at them.

She seems to be obsessed with beige.

She’s getting her money’s worth. For $200 dollars a month or whatever it costs, I’d be bloomin well living there! 😂

Doesn't strike me as if Harry would read that many books - nor Meghan either for that matter!

When one compares it to the NYC baby shower... it's a tad underwhelming, that's all...

Fortunately there's free speech in this country so we can express our views however we wish to. We don't need to, and won't be, shut down!
