Welcome to Part 7 of our positive threads, where we explore all things Meghan and Harry. From the causes they champion and their business ventures to Meghan’s (and occasionally Harry’s 😉) fashion moments, there’s a lot to chat about. This is a drama-free space, so let’s keep it upbeat! High five to @queentim for the original inspiration.

Well perhaps you need glasses to read what I wrote 😉

Perhaps you need reminding what you actually said:

"It's equally childish to be commenting..."

so if anyone needs glasses, it's you.

I don't think however that glasses really aid comprehension, no matter how good they are with vision.

She seems to be obsessed with beige.

Ahhhh but don't you know, that's all the fault of the RF because she had to blend into the background when she was a working member of the family.... which she hasn't been for upwards of 5 years!!

Funny that. Yet another horrible, shapeless, dress that doesn't suit her.

Wow you really took my comment to heart and its still bothering you enough to comment again. Chill out it's just a discussion forum, there are no prizes or winners. We are all here just to pass the time whilst we commute, stand ina queue etc.

Baital · 18/09/2024 07:43

And bothering you to come back and comment as well!

She looks dreadful in that mini dress. what happened? She was really pretty when they got married.

Hughs · 18/09/2024 08:37

Isn't this the same poster who denied ever saying that Meghan suffered worse tabloid abuse than others, then when someone showed her a post of hers which said just that, accused them of being a liar, said they had apologised to her for lying when they a) hadn't lied and b) hadn't apologised? I don't think it's worth engaging if so.. they really went to town that time and became quite aggressive and irrational.

Hiji · 18/09/2024 09:47

It must be so exhausing - think they are the last man standing - apart from the other one who gets over excited - cringe and painful to watch.

Must be hard to come to terms with the fact your idol is a nasty two faced bully on both sides of the Atlantic.

Seems these two are still in denial.

Scales have fallen from 99% of peoples eyes at different times along the last 5 years.

AutumnCrow · 18/09/2024 10:35

Scales have fallen from 99% of peoples eyes at different times along the last 5 years.

I suspect this pretty much describes me, thinking back. I was the typical boring twat who wished them well, watched the wedding, defended them, didn't blame them for fucking off to the US (I actually thought it could have been to get away from the stink of Andrew <hollow laughter> and that they would spill those beans); and, when I gradually became more and more uncomfortable and concerned about the behaviour on view, saw primarily Harry as the massive big shite responsible.

I feel like I'm having to recalibrate everything now, from 2016 onwards, maybe from even before then (given what's in the execrable Spare).

It's also been interesting to analyse the behaviour of certain posters on here - not just individuals but the tag-teams and groups. I am seeing very similar tactics to those used by MRAs trying to disrupt discussions of reality on the FWR (feminism) board, including talking to each other off-board.

Final note: I'm an in-migrant to the UK and this country has been nothing but welcoming, even to a Morning Star-reading lightweight republican like me! I utterly refute and abhor the 'racist' portrait that H&M and their paid followers have tried to paint of this tolerant, democratic nation and people as compared to the US, and resent them deeply for it.

Edit: typo

She had a glow about her when they were first engaged but she looks a bit tired now. Kids will do that to you but I think she looks like she's under stress.

Hiji · 18/09/2024 10:42

I agree with you @AutumnCrow - I am also a republican and have seen the 'pidgeons playing chess' shenanigans and the wise advice not to bite and engage in the goading which is intended to derail.

Exactly. Word salad to pretend that something wasn't said when it clearly was. 🙄

Who does that remind you of?
Birds of a feather.
Also very Trumpian 'alternative facts' etc.
Tedious.
But we all see through it.

No doubt the same reasons apply to other posters!

Actually the screnshot didn't show i said the words I was quoted to have said. Let's be clear about that, noone can show me any comment where I was quoted saying it. It was all well you kind of said so I'm interpreting what you said to basically say you said it ...which is different to directly quoting me having said something.

I have a right to point out if someone quotes me incorrectly and esp from one that prides themselves about being factually correct...oops guess they aren't.

Great post, Autumn Crow, and I can really relate to what you say. I also loved the wedding and was really excited for the RF - what a great new chapter. But I was uneasy about the marriage, not because of any thoughts of racism, but because I guessed that Meghan as an older woman and having had a career, wouldn't be content in the gilded cage of the RF. And if they'd left graciously and 'with regrets etc', thanking the UK for their wonderful wedding and the RF for being so welcoming, I'd have been completely sympathetic. It was the spite and lies, so publicly - nay, globally - displayed, that I was shocked and disgusted at, and this behaviour from H & M has continued, even during the serious illness of KC and Catherine. They really are a pair of horrors.

I agree that, while the UK is far from perfect, it's not the racism capital of the world by a long way, despite what Meghan's attack-dogs, the SS, would have us believe.

Sometimes SS and Meghan die-hards on MN will ask: Why do you care? There are lots of reasons I care about the UK's and the RF's reputations being trashed by demonstrable lies, but there's also a more visceral reason. The people who continue to love Meghan, and to rave about her clothes, style, beauty etc in the face of growing evidence that she's a complete cow, remind me of a group of schoolgirls gushing over a cool but mean girl who's a known bully. I just think "Can't you see through her?" They baffle me, those people. They are classic narcissistic enablers.

But I guess they've invested so much in her that they'll die on the Hill of Meghan rather than admit any doubts. I imagine them with their fingers in their ears, eyes tightly closed and saying 'Na na na na na - I can't hear you!'.

Hiji · 18/09/2024 13:36

They are classic narcissistic enablers.

And apologists.

I wonder if they would be able to keep eye contact whilst listening to the real life individuals left deeply emotionally damaged by the behaviour of these two.

Well someone people can comment about what someone wears regardless of the rest fo their character if fashion and style is what they are interested in then 🤷‍♀️ commenting that you like or don't like what someone wears doesn't equate to being some die hard fan or a Meghan supporter.

And to add to your comment you could say the same about those who keeping making bitchy comments on every thread going over the same old shit from years ago...they just put fingers in their ears and go well we are just criticising them and it's perfectly justified to bitch about why she can't iron her clothes even though it's pure linen which naturally.creases but let's just ignore thay so I can carry on bitching..ahem criticising...and W&K are so perfect and let's turn it i to a competition between them who does it better

@Spectre8

“and W&K are so perfect and let's turn it i to a competition between them who does it better”.

I don’t think anyone is saying W and C are perfect . They are human after all ! But as far as dignity, respect and loyalty are concerned then yes they definitely do it better !

Hughs · 18/09/2024 16:15

Actually the screnshot didn't show i said the words I was quoted to have said.

I have no wish to reignite this debate but you denied saying Meghan had it worse, even when faced with your post saying abuse was bad for everyone but "ramped up" for Meghan. Ramped up means increased, that's not interpretation. You were really unpleasant about another poster and lied about her apologising to you when she hadn't. Everyone on the thread agreed that you were completely out of order. I remember it very well so don't bother with the gaslighting.
