Perhaps he thinks this is the way to get his security reconsidered? Personally I'd say the opposite.
If he still had UK security I'd expect them to do a risk assessment and say "NO".
Why should security personnel be put at risk by being required to travel to these dangerous destinations.

We could have a go fund me to keep them.

The disrespect to the UK is that the bespoke security for Harry and his family is seen as inadequate despite Harry receiving security that he would put his safety in other government hands.

That 'announcement' won't have been made without their approval.

If they had wished, they could have asked for their presence not to be announced in advance, in keeping with their well-known concern about security.
