Might as well find out whether the Royal Family is liked or not too.

I think the poster is saying that the poll is pointless if it doesn’t work on the app as this excludes a good chunk of MN users from being able to participate 🙄

I am a republican.

I don't much like the current RF (aside from that). With a couple of exceptions, they don't work very hard, even accepting that their definition of work (being chauffeured round to places where people do their utmost to please them) is very different from what most people would call work.

I like all of the current working royals

Republican, don’t like them as a family or as a firm. They don’t fool me with all the charity stuff. Just a very sophisticated way of promoting themselves to be seen as being of intrinsic value to the nation and of noble purpose. They are not. They are a permanent stain due to the history of colonialism and empire which is still not addressed properly in our schools but it is changing slowly. One of the many good aspects that came out of Netflix doing the Meg and H series was the historian’s perspective and other commentators on Britain today. Watching, Black and British: A Forgotten History, also was an eye opener and without listening to David on the Netflix series I would never have thought to watch it on the BBC.

Harry got the better deal in the end. New life. Plus his two children who will grow up and away from all that nonsense.

I have a phone, with safari. If you’re desperate enough to respond to a poll (funny that Mumsnet provides the ability to make polls) then don’t use the app. Not rocket science. 😜

Not sure what the relevance of you having a phone with Safari is. Lots of us have iPhones. I don’t use the app but people do. If that is the only way they can access MN then they can’t participate in the poll so it excludes them. It is obviously a functionality issue but the fact remains that it is an obstacle to participation. Saying don’t use the app is rather patronising

eta if someone has their profile, password etc loaded on the app, it’s a pain in the arse having to log in to the website I imagine 🤷‍♀️

Harry to this day believes in the monarchy and is probably torn between a number of different worlds, the titles of the kids acknowledges their heritage. Up to them whether they use it or not.

What has googling got to do with it? Yes polls are common but apparently this poll doesn’t work on the app. Do you think it’s reasonable for those on the app to toddle off to find the website, log in, remember their password (who does that?) all just to answer a poll? I appreciate it’s not that important but it will be skewed if those people who often participate here and have an opinion are unable to express it That was all I was trying to point out. No need for posters to get sniffy and tell people not to use the app

Tired of all this saintly Catherine stuff. She comes across as rather dull and not the brightest of bulbs even if she went to Uni. She also tries so hard to appear more than she actually is. It just gives rise to that artificial stiffness and the weird facial expressions she is prone to. Scrubs up well but who wouldn’t with the wealth at her husband’s disposal. Stepford wife material for the royalist propaganda machine. Plenty of insiders have talked in the past about how she and boring William would not speak for weeks and throw pillows at one another when arguing.
