Sussex Whiplash

ConstantGarden1 · 17/07/2024 23:14

Sometimes, all the different media outlets who purport to know the inner workings of all things Sussex can give me whiplash. One moment the Sussex duo are on the outs with everyone, hemorrhaging or devoid of influential friends, making no headway with Netflix, losing money, can’t afford their mortgage and claimed to no longer be relevant. Then Suits saw an upsurge in viewers - fantastic ratings on Netflix, the BBC buys Suits, Invictus is being promoted via Harry’s award and trips, he receives a heartfelt standing ovation, Meghan finishes filming a new Netflix series purportedly linked to a nascent commercial venture and a new podcast is set for next year.

‘Lonely’ Harry, as some will insist on writing, is also not something that rings true for me. He has too much charisma, energy, interests, causes and is a people person. I also cannot think of anyone who needs to say I am friends with x, y, and z on a regular basis for the benefit or not of strangers. We don’t know who they are friends with, really. Meanwhile, pundits continue to engage those interested in the couple with whatever they can attributing the information to some made up mysterious ‘sources’. I suspect their real friends are quietly keeping their own counsel. Especially, now they have seen the mutual pathological loathing that Harry and the tabloids have towards one another. Can’t say I blame them either.

Now there is this:

Considering Whoopi G had less than favourable words for the couple I’d like to have been a fly on the wall at any meetings held. No doubt ‘netizens’ will have their microscopes to the ready to give us all their ‘insights’ regarding the events of the evening. No doubt I’ll get whiplash again when all their combined fingers hit the keyboards.

He was well within his rights to write about his own family regarding his own experiences. The institution thought they could control the narrative and break Harry. They did not succeed. Willy’s justification for his treatment of Harry was that Harry left. What a load of 💩. Harry revealed himself through an excellent ghostwriter. Great content and well balanced. All those reviews and comments from the majority of Spare readers on Amazon are brill. His many, many roles. More Books. Appointments. Invites. Contracts. Netflix. Such a long list reflecting the energy of a fully grown adult human being. Looks like the spare brother got even bigger on the world stage. 😂

Dropped by Spotify and called a fucking grifter.

Netflix deal looking dicey - who wants to watch a docuseries about Polo? Will it even be aired?

What books? Where is the paperback of Spare? It's not even got a publishing date. Why would they publish a paperback when you can pick up a hardback for 50p in the charity shop. It was the most dumped and most resold book of 2023.

Purchased awards.

Backscratching appointments, again on a pay to play basis.

Massive legal bills and the hollow victory of "dragon slaying" while your fellow litigants, persuaded to join you, truly suffer an awful legal loss.

Being humiliated in the court currently for destroying evidence.

Wasting tax payer's money on a foolish claim against RAVEC.

Looking like you want the earth to swallow you up on global TV.

All eyes on Archewell and their dodgy financials.

Too terrified to go anywhere or do anything unless there's a paycheck involved in a dodgy country.

Yes, he's really been winning since leaving the RF.

X post with @Hughs excellent post.

Hughs · 18/07/2024 18:29

Not to mention African Parks...

Mymilkshakebringsallthepapstomycar · 18/07/2024 18:30

No Emmy for the docuseries.

No prizes for Spare.

What happened to 40 by 40?

Nice name gyal! (or dude)

Go Invictus, and Go Harry! Continue totally ignoring the hateful comments! I should imagine that with the first ever winter sports Invictus just six months away, and plenty of organising and fundraising to do, Harry and the Invictus team have better things to do with their time than engage with people who do nothing but complain, rage and rant all day long in social media…

(as do many of us)

Maybe take your own advice then and go and do it?

Thanks for the laugh though about Harry prepping for Invictus though!!

Hughs · 18/07/2024 18:24

The idea that they have been successful is laughable. The NF series and Spare did well because people are interested in behind the scenes of the RF. Apart from that, what success have they had?

  • Spotify contract terminated early
  • only one podcast made, didn't do very well and reportedly Meghan didn't have much to do with it
  • called grifters by ex-colleague
  • Megan's book was terrible and widely panned, nothing similar since
  • Live to Lead didn't do very well and was just a buy-in of other people's stuff anyway
  • no sign of the film adaptation
  • animation Pearl cancelled by Netflix
  • Heart of Invictus didn't do well, failed to make NF top 10
  • launch of ARO farcical, hardly any recipients of the jam owned up to it publicly
  • no acting or voiceover work since the elephants despite Harry touting for that kind of business with the Disney guy
  • no big brand partnerships of note and Dior were quick to deny any association
  • Archewell donations massively down
  • polling still awful, consistently much less popular than W+K on both sides of the Atlantic
  • Meghan forced to apologise for lying to the court about collaborating with OS
  • not much from Harry apart from odd awards that are reportedly bought to make him look good
  • not invited to big A list events like the Oscars and Met Gala
  • 40 x 40 project apparently quietly dropped
  • signed for Lemonada months ago but no content made
  • 2023 biggest losers in Hollywood according to the Hollywood Reporter

Daring to do things their own way indeed 🤔

What, only 19 ways M&H are Totally Worthless Talentless Attention-Seeking Lying Sub—Humans?

Last list I saw had 256 ways!

Keep going, I’m sure you’ll change many, many minds about them!…

Mymilkshakebringsallthepapstomycar · 18/07/2024 18:32

No account of where British taxpayer's money went when donated to Travelyst. Figurehead of responsible travel while taking private jets and unnecessary plane rides constantly. Shown up as the big hypocrite he is.

What a load of horseshit. He behaved in a despicable, dishonourable way in betraying his family with a his own load of bollocks. "Great content" - who actually wanted to know about his bloody todger?!

"Fully grown adult being" ??????

An odd reply - I don't believe I mentioned worth, talent, attention seeking, lying or sub humans Confused

Just trying to counter the delusional and evidence-free claims of H+M's wild successes with a bit of reality 🤷‍♀️

Hughs · 18/07/2024 18:42

I beg your pardon - I did mention lying - the bit about Meghan lying to the court and being forced to apologise for it.

Great content?

Dragging an innocent woman into his tawdry pub fuck story.

Puerile tales of his penis.

Laughable comments about sharing lipgloss in order to attack the woman he said he loved like a sister.

Implying that same woman has been married to breed and nod and smile, not for love.

Implying that woman's children are in danger.

Lying about easily provable events, like where he was when his great grandmother died.

Dragging other people into his tawdry life, like Courtney Cox.

Using his father for target practice.

Betraying confidential conversations with his family including his grandmother.

Nasty jibes about his brother's hair and looks - pot, kettle, black.

Frankly batshit tales of singing seals and convening with the dead.

Great content if you are a loon maybe.

IsoldeWagner · 18/07/2024 19:02

"great content" 😂 😂
It was one of the oddest books I've ever read and just when I thought he couldn't stoop lower....he did!

He was well within his rights to write about his own family regarding his own experiences

That's a pretty simple-minded take!

Grown-ups have rights but they also have responsibilities. Harry has behaved like a tantrumming toddler, throwing his family under a bus because he felt (not that his privilege was unjustified) but that he hadn't been privileged enough! Little children live in the present - they find it hard to conceptualise any other time, past or future, and don't always understand the consequences of their actions. Harry is just like that, it seems. Did he really not think through the terrible consequences his tantrum was going to have for his family, or himself and his wife further down the line, when the dust settled and people began to see through them and lose sympathy?

He and Meghan have made a few lame attempts to retract things but it's just not possible to reverse the damage he did with Spare (and the documentary, and the interview). They gradually realised that they'd messed up big-time, and hoped people would forgive and forget.

I think that's what most people (all over the world, not just in the UK) would criticise him for - doing that to his family. And Meghan is also NC, except for Doria, so they're a pair, aren't they?

Whatever you say, I would bet that Harry, in the privacy of his Montecito prison mansion, would very willingly go back in time and do things differently.

CoffeeCantata · 18/07/2024 19:18

Nasty jibes about his brother's hair and looks - pot, kettle, black.

Yes - that's off-the-scale pathetic, isn't it? And how very foolish of Harry. Hasn't he seen himself from above?

The SS bang on about 'Willy' 🙄being bald and 'Kate' looking old, tired, drawn and frumpy. They are a lovely lot, for sure.

Mylovelygreendress · 18/07/2024 19:20

Can I ask the Sussex supporters a question ?
If H and M are doing so well since they flounced off , why don’t they drop their titles and make a clean break ? After all if they are so successful , why do they need titles ?

IcedPurple · 18/07/2024 19:24

He was well within his rights to write about his own family regarding his own experiences. The institution thought they could control the narrative and break Harry. They did not succeed.

This bizarre victim mentality.

"The institution" shielded Harry and looked out for his best interests. He now has nobody willing to do the same for him, and it shows.

Harry is basically an emotionally and intellectually stunted man child. He was no threat to 'the institution'. This idea that 'they' were conducting Machiavellian plots against him is weird, but I guess such a narrative is essential, because otherwise, what have you got? An extremely spoiled, privileged prince who owes everything he has to 'the institution' he has so publicly maligned.

Good luck, greendress! I've asked many, many questions on these threads, but I never get an answer. As we know, Sussex supporters are notoriously shy creatures.

IsoldeWagner · 18/07/2024 19:28

"The Institution" did not try to "break him" what absolute nonsense.
He was helped, supported and shielded all his life. What a viper in the nest he's turned out to be.

Yes, titles granted them by 'the institution' which wanted to 'break' them.

Also, if they're so successful, who cares what a few random anonymous folk on a parenting forum are saying about them?

What did MM say in Netflix? She was sent to break generational harms or some such bollocks. Getting her knickers in a twist about royal titles for herself and her children is doing that, is it? Keeping them/bestowing them when there's no need is breaking away from the terrible RF, is it? Bollocks is it. It's all she has and all Harry has, because they are a pair of talentless twits with nothing else going for them without them.

IsoldeWagner · 18/07/2024 19:51
