Sometimes, all the different media outlets who purport to know the inner workings of all things Sussex can give me whiplash. One moment the Sussex duo are on the outs with everyone, hemorrhaging or devoid of influential friends, making no headway with Netflix, losing money, can’t afford their mortgage and claimed to no longer be relevant. Then Suits saw an upsurge in viewers - fantastic ratings on Netflix, the BBC buys Suits, Invictus is being promoted via Harry’s award and trips, he receives a heartfelt standing ovation, Meghan finishes filming a new Netflix series purportedly linked to a nascent commercial venture and a new podcast is set for next year.

‘Lonely’ Harry, as some will insist on writing, is also not something that rings true for me. He has too much charisma, energy, interests, causes and is a people person. I also cannot think of anyone who needs to say I am friends with x, y, and z on a regular basis for the benefit or not of strangers. We don’t know who they are friends with, really. Meanwhile, pundits continue to engage those interested in the couple with whatever they can attributing the information to some made up mysterious ‘sources’. I suspect their real friends are quietly keeping their own counsel. Especially, now they have seen the mutual pathological loathing that Harry and the tabloids have towards one another. Can’t say I blame them either.

Considering Whoopi G had less than favourable words for the couple I’d like to have been a fly on the wall at any meetings held. No doubt ‘netizens’ will have their microscopes to the ready to give us all their ‘insights’ regarding the events of the evening. No doubt I’ll get whiplash again when all their combined fingers hit the keyboards.

William is famously extremely protective of his family - there's no way he will be letting Harry and Meghan anywhere near Kate and the children, especially given what they're going through with Kate and Charles both ill. Even the thought of those two playing the situation for personal gain and with themselves as the centre of the story is sickening really.

How about you enlighten us with the answer rather than expect posters to wade through various threads where there is never a definitive answer apart from the usual but but Andrew replies?

As for Africa Parks we are talking about horrific crimes that are happening now, I’m so tired of the what about historical slavery reply, that is not the “gotcha” you think it is at all, Charles can’t go back in time and right historical wrongs, however Harry actually has that in his power and yet he chooses to do fuck all, totally indefensible but not doubt you and the fans will find a way.

Many of us have been on previous threads about the titles and have never seen an explanation that makes sense - it's all why shouldn't they, it's his birthright, it wouldn't make any difference, but the Yorks etc etc.

I have never seen anyone explain why Harry and Meghan would hold on to titles linking them to this awful racist institution that tried to break them, that they had to escape from, where they were bullied and treated badly, where Meghan was suicidal and Harry off his face on drugs and alcohol to cope. They have made their disdain for the institution so clear, and yet they insist on labelling themselves as part of it 🤷‍♀️

The only explanation I have seen that makes sense is that they are self-important, they like the special feeling of being royal, and they are reliant on milking the royal connection for £££. What is the counter to that?

Yes, it's for those reasons, @Hughs , but also - they'd be absolutely nothing without those titles. It's also interesting that the children are Prince and Princess. They want to perpetuate the privilege.

Harry did recognise the power of losing the titles around the time that they left, with his 'just call me Harry'. It felt quite significant at the time. But he's done a complete U turn, even using HRH the other day, and insisting on Your Royal Highness when he was giving evidence at the phone hacking trial. It's such a terrible look.

The HRH styling is in contravention of the Sandringham Agreement, but of course, Harry doesn't care about that. I had to laugh at the coronet above Meghan's name on their website as well! They're so self important.

Other way round. Harry and Meghan were not treated well by the brother. We know he is a far more aggressive personality from many, many insiders. Harry confirmed it. Someone who thinks it okay to lecture Meghan whilst wagging his finger at her quite clearly does not know how to behave towards a woman who did not see herself as a ‘lesser mortal’ in his presence. Obviously, he likes telling others what to do and how to behave. How stupid is all the grovelling in that family, it’s not healthy in a modern world. The only way to modernise is to cut the whole sorry institution out like the canker it is on society. Head of State by merit and votes alone.

The finger in the face story comes from Harry and Meghan, who are renowned for playing fast and loose with the truth. We've heard the way Meghan speaks about Kate. I think William waving a finger at her was a pretty mild response.
