A fitting endorsement from Fred Hargreaves OBE who on X wrote, “As ever, a genuine and heart-felt speech from the Duke of Sussex - the driving force and passion behind the #InvictusGames. So good to see this Award, and share the stage with Elizabeth, Kirsty and Israel.”

From the Royal Website, how the ‘driving force’ - Harry - brought Invictus into being:

https://www.royal.uk/invictus-games

Positive Harry posts have been flooding X. Haters were out too. Some negatively posting in a quasi-forensic manner. No ‘gotcha’ revelations, however, nor tens of thousands of likes which the repost of Harry’s speech on ESPN by the knowledgeable Robert Griffin III now has. In less than 2 days 51+K likes and still rising.

I also checked out some (too many) #Sussexsquad posters. It revealed teachers, veterans, different nationalities, colours, creeds, nurses, retired folk etc etc. Thus I formed a completely different understanding about the use of the hashtag to support the Sussex family. There were also very strange users of the hashtag too. The hashtag was additionally utilised to send the message out on X to put the anti-Harry and Meghan posters or ‘derangers’, as they are often called, on mute and not to engage. Quite a restrained and civil position to promote and many did just that. Invictus awareness was successfully brought to those who had never heard of the international fraternity of veterans with disabilities and injuries by this hashtag alone.

Watching the videos on X I saw Harry speak with sincerity and humility under pressure. His words, “The truth is, I stand here not as Prince Harry, Pat Tillman Award recipient, but rather a voice on behalf of the Invictus Games Foundation and the thousands of veterans and service personnel from over 20 nations who have made the Invictus Games a reality. This award belongs to them. Not to me.”

Harry has now been awarded, by a very diverse online presence, a new respect. And I do believe he’s also a jolly good fellow…and so say many, many, many of us. 😊💙

I am so glad I went on my very new X twitter account for I was disgusted with the Daily Mail’s use of Pat Tillman’s mother to denigrate Prince Harry as it was totally uncalled for. Call it for what it was - a hit piece of journalism designed to create a mini storm online. We know nothing about the context of how they obtained words supposedly said by Pat’s mother about Harrry. I was aghast too at how Pat’s widow has also been treated by some online posters. Her foundation may not be perfect but she does more than anyone to honour him. Pat’s mother also did not go on any mainstream American media either where her complaints would have been listened to and would have provided the much needed context for the hate motivated article by a newspaper under the spotlight for its nefarious journalism and click bait articles about Harry.

Harry’s response was beautiful. The way Harry acknowledged Pat’s mother went further than him being a royal. It was a standout out moment of what being human is all about. I do believe he’s also a jolly good fellow…and so say many, many, many of us. 😊💙

Also love how the video of Princess Catherine getting a standing ovation at Wimbledon was viewed on the ESPY YouTube channel over a million times in less than 24 hours. 💗 Harry’s awards video is still on a couple of hundred thousand views after almost a week.
Says a lot.

Not only that, Harry’s videos were heavily down voted to the extent that they removed the count.

Looks like they’ve clocked off again. That was a short shift……

Well, there was an award to pay for this month

AliceOlive · 16/07/2024 11:39

The lipgloss thing is so ridiculous. Women of all races in US would find the expectation of sharing that bizarre. It is down to how you were raised. I wouldn’t ask most friends that and they wouldn’t ask me. Unless I was drunk, then I might. Was this at Wimbledon?

MummyJ12 · 16/07/2024 11:41

Ouch! No wonder the Sussex supporters are sounding extra bitter today @Mymilkshakebringsallthepapstomycar
I wonder how they’ll twist that so it’s the fault of the RF?! 😂

MummyJ12 · 16/07/2024 11:42

I can sometimes get cold sores so never share my lip gloss. I’d never want or expect to borrow anyone else’s either.

It’s a those people on the RF payroll I can never manage to get on. Oi, Charles, where are my wages??!! I have household bills to pay, you know, those flying monkeys keep crashing onto my roof and making a mess.

Yes - I think that's why the Sussex supporters are so angry at the moment.

The narrative on Celebitchy regarding Catherine at Wimbledon, and Harry at the Tillman Award, is hilariously warped. Obviously in their weird world (interpreted for them by Kaiser, of course), Catherine was practically booed and Harry brought the house down...with no reference to his departure amid cat-calls, boos and heckling.

They are sad, sad people.

AliceOlive · 16/07/2024 12:02

Maybe celebitchy is getting paid?

In all seriousness, this is what cults do. They interpret the world for you and make you afraid to look for the truth yourself. You just have to accept the received wisdom from the leader. It’s scary stuff.

@CoffeeCantata

The children. They've gone after all three of the young Wales'. They attempted to go after Taylor Swift but quickly realised what they were up against. They barely mentioned her recently choosing to aim their ire at Charlotte instead.

Now THAT is moronic.

Grace, dignity and honesty
Something Brand Sussex could do with cultivating.

True, but then honesty left the room a long time ago and it's hard to expect grace and dignity when the principals behave as they do

Doubtless this is something the crowd who were booing and catcalling as H&M left the latest event realised - I hadn't seen that before and it was painful, though it would explain why they spent a lot of time backstage (getting footage for Netflix?) and left early

I think the backstage thing was for Netflix too

Depends where you want to start and how it was done. Newspapers, social media, journalists lined up to write and post abominable articles. Slowly but surely a woman was baited and criticised in a very unique manner. A climate was created here in the UK and slowly a public was persuaded to see her in a particular way.

Harry wrote a book, more people than not loved it. I certainly see no problem in writing about his life and his interactions with those around him. I always found it interesting that William chose the South African tour to leak his feelings and thoughts to the press. Sources close to KP principals forever feeding the media. Harry has gone on record and good for him! Meghan. She told the truth about her life. Her experiences. How everyone chooses to interpret that is up to them. I can only imagine what the trolling of her online has done to her mental health. Depression and suicide ideation is something many people live with but do not necessarily share with others. So many people say they are shocked when someone they know has taken their own life and they hadn’t a clue regarding their internal struggles. Smiling for the world and going out when inside there is despair is not unusual. It is why mental health issues are seen as invisible disabilities.

As for Catherine, Meghan spoke about what happened there and so did Harry. It seems she is not given a pass for her behaviour by the followers of Meghan. No different from those who adore Catherine yet continue to despise and assassinate the character of Meghan. Pot. Kettle. Nothing new to see.

Harry did not claim William leaked anything to the press during H&Ms South African tour. It’s plain as day in Spare what Harry was claiming. Whilst the Sussexes were away, William confided in Charles and Camilla that the two couples had been meeting to try to iron out their differences. The implication is that Camila leaked something (we know that’s not true either).

Hear-hear!

I certainly love the way Harry and Megan are continuing to pursue and support their projects and non-profits, including Invictus and one of my favourites, Scotty’s Little Soldiers, IGNORING (as we all do) the constant background drumbeat moronic ranting of their haters on social media, all standing in a circle chanting to each other all day long how M&H are worthless sub-humans in comparison to xyz Perfect Member of the God-Appointed British Royal Family (or even as long as they criticise H&M, the Taliban)

Reminds me of the monks scene in Monty Python’s The Holy Grail… 😂😂😂

😂 True!

I watched one clown on YouTube spend so much time trying to find the one boo when they were mingling and saying goodbye to people. It was not clear what that individual was booing but it followed someone saying pass her the microphone (which could have been about anyone as no name was mentioned but a woman was singing too quietly). The clown spent ages also rewinding part of the clip (whilst pulling apart Meghan) of Meghan bending down to say bye and give a hug to someone whilst calling her creepy. Usual antics from the royal derangers on youtube. Hysterical. So desperate. It is clear the deranger royalists resent their success abroad as H and M have not crashed and burned. Some deranger royalists need to come with a health warning ~ they are worse than Sussex Squad. At the end of the day a voluntary standing ovation for Harry and loud cheers. Music to my ears. Better than a ‘posh’ clap from Wimbledon any day of the week. He actually did something to deserve it. Invictus forever.

Derangers.

Noted. A peculiar turn of phrase linked to a peculiar little organisation.

Please can you give examples and elaborate on this? I don’t know what could be worse than the death threats, reporting a food bank charity to the charity commission and police, and also reports of arson from the Sussex Squad. Never mind bullying two people who are battling cancer.

I've watched that video and your description doesn't tally at all!

This is what I took away:

H & M and what seems like a large entourage all get up from their seats WHILE YOU CAN STILL HEAR THE EVENT GOING ON! What can possibly have been their reason for this rudeness? An emergency? Didn't look like it though, because...

They didn't duck down apologetically (like decent people) and quickly make a discreet exit. Oh no. They stood in front of the audience, hugged, kissed, chatted and generally fussed about for ages, all while there was someone on stage and the other audience members were trying to watch. You can actually hear booing, jeering and exhortations for them to hurry the hell up.

If you leave early (which is bloody rude) you do so very quickly and discreetly. I thought their behaviour was deeply embarrassing, entitled and rude to both the person on stage at the time, the audience behind them and the event organisers. It was as if to say 'Well, we've got what we wanted out of this, so to hell with everyone else!'.

I advise you to turn up the sound and listen again. There is a lot of audience aggro towards them, including a shout of 'She's not the Princess of Wales!'

No, she certainly isn't. The PoW wouldn't be so damn rude!
