A fitting endorsement from Fred Hargreaves OBE who on X wrote, “As ever, a genuine and heart-felt speech from the Duke of Sussex - the driving force and passion behind the #InvictusGames. So good to see this Award, and share the stage with Elizabeth, Kirsty and Israel.”

From the Royal Website, how the ‘driving force’ - Harry - brought Invictus into being:

https://www.royal.uk/invictus-games

Positive Harry posts have been flooding X. Haters were out too. Some negatively posting in a quasi-forensic manner. No ‘gotcha’ revelations, however, nor tens of thousands of likes which the repost of Harry’s speech on ESPN by the knowledgeable Robert Griffin III now has. In less than 2 days 51+K likes and still rising.

I also checked out some (too many) #Sussexsquad posters. It revealed teachers, veterans, different nationalities, colours, creeds, nurses, retired folk etc etc. Thus I formed a completely different understanding about the use of the hashtag to support the Sussex family. There were also very strange users of the hashtag too. The hashtag was additionally utilised to send the message out on X to put the anti-Harry and Meghan posters or ‘derangers’, as they are often called, on mute and not to engage. Quite a restrained and civil position to promote and many did just that. Invictus awareness was successfully brought to those who had never heard of the international fraternity of veterans with disabilities and injuries by this hashtag alone.

Watching the videos on X I saw Harry speak with sincerity and humility under pressure. His words, “The truth is, I stand here not as Prince Harry, Pat Tillman Award recipient, but rather a voice on behalf of the Invictus Games Foundation and the thousands of veterans and service personnel from over 20 nations who have made the Invictus Games a reality. This award belongs to them. Not to me.”

Harry has now been awarded, by a very diverse online presence, a new respect. And I do believe he’s also a jolly good fellow…and so say many, many, many of us. 😊💙

I am so glad I went on my very new X twitter account for I was disgusted with the Daily Mail’s use of Pat Tillman’s mother to denigrate Prince Harry as it was totally uncalled for. Call it for what it was - a hit piece of journalism designed to create a mini storm online. We know nothing about the context of how they obtained words supposedly said by Pat’s mother about Harrry. I was aghast too at how Pat’s widow has also been treated by some online posters. Her foundation may not be perfect but she does more than anyone to honour him. Pat’s mother also did not go on any mainstream American media either where her complaints would have been listened to and would have provided the much needed context for the hate motivated article by a newspaper under the spotlight for its nefarious journalism and click bait articles about Harry.

Harry’s response was beautiful. The way Harry acknowledged Pat’s mother went further than him being a royal. It was a standout out moment of what being human is all about. I do believe he’s also a jolly good fellow…and so say many, many, many of us. 😊💙

Oh catch a grip, what has Meghan been through that hasn't been largely of her own making?!!

Not so sure either about the " Plenty of friends, plenty of money, new projects and charities to help."

What a nasty comment and also a double standard when it comes to mental health. You choose not to believe her to justify pulling her apart and believe all the gossip pushed by certain Brits. How sad is that.

MummyJ12 · 16/07/2024 04:19

As for Catherine, Meghan spoke about what happened there and so did Harry.

Recollections may vary.

Such mean girl behaviour to hesitate passing the lip gloss. Not to mention trying to have a say in what her own child should be wearing to make sure she would be as comfortable as possible on the day of the ‘spectacle’. I say good for Catherine for having boundaries. Free pass? Get. Over. Yourself. It’s just an excuse to bully someone and it’s disgusting. Like when Sean Lennon dare post “Spare Me” following reading the book. Death threats from the Sussex Squad followed, amongst the predictable and coordinated pile on. What about what he’s gone through in his life?
Or the people who use food banks every day so that they can feed themselves and their families and rely on the Trussell Trust? A charity that was also targeted by the Sussex Squad, and harassed by them for no reason other than them benefiting from much needed fund raising. That is hate, vitriol and bullying on a grand and organised scale.

This photo however tells me all I need to know. When someone shows you who they are, believe them.

Again, another royalist who defends the indefensible royal family with a line from a press release. Press releases are not necessarily facts.

Nevermetaghostididntlike · 16/07/2024 10:35

Well done Harry you did Invictus proud.

This is good news! For Invictus and for Harry.

i loved the ESPN Invictus video and hope it does wonders for Invictus fundraising!

🤩

It is! He is a living legend too. 💪

Is that your best retort to my post?! Hilarious. 🤣
What’s in your head isn’t necessarily fact either.

It didn’t warrant more when you lead with that old tripe…

MummyJ12 · 16/07/2024 10:45

I’d love for you to point out the line of my post that is from a press release. I can assure you that my post was formed on what Harry, Meghan and their hate squad have put out and done. Nothing else. That photo is in the public domain and speaks for itself @Nevermetaghostididntlike. Stop it with blaming the RF for everything, it makes you sound completely delusional.

Far from it. Everything in my post is fact.
The Sussex Squad are bullies. They harassed Sean Lennon and The Trussell Trust. You probably know this and this behaviour may be acceptable to you as it’s in the name of your leader. 🙄

Gorgonemilezola · 16/07/2024 10:51

Not wanting to loan a lip gloss is 'indefensible' now......... (and the lip gloss was loaned so I'm not sure all the big hairy fuss was about anyway.

I would say that wrongly accusing someone of being racist is far more indefensible. I'd say doing that on a major TV programme is actually downright wicked.

I am beginning to think the Royal Family haven't actually done anything other than the usual family foibles if all Harry and Meghan have to go on is lip gloss, a child's dress, the odd sausage and not much else - they obviously keep a little notebook handy to jot down any perceived slight, then magnify out of all proportion.

MummyJ12 · 16/07/2024 10:56

It’s all a bit pathetic when you think about it @Gorgonemilezola isn’t it?

For the record, I am not talking about their mental health issues or challenges here. I do not wish to discuss this as I refuse to comment on these matters that I don’t know enough about or minimise suicidal ideation or mental health.

CoffeeCantata · 16/07/2024 11:05

I wonder if the Sussex supporters on this thread (in their blind adoration) are aware of the true nature of the SS? They are like a pack of wild dogs, which, when they get the tiniest scent of anyone who might make a mild joke or utter the slightest criticism of H & M, hunt them down and tear them to shreds? I think the issue is less with H & M (tedious though I find them) and more with the monster they've helped to create and now allow to ravage their perceived 'enemies'.

To name just a few victims who've been bullied viciously by the Squad:

Pat Tillman's mother - and her feelings are valid, whatever she chooses to say.
Was it the 'Small Batch Jam Company' (not sure if that's the actual name) which for some reason got targeted in relation to Meghan's ridiculous jam initiative? Don't know what their crime was...but they suffered a hate campaign from the SS.
Sean Lennon who dared to make a joke about that sacred book, Spare - surely the absolute holy word of their god.
The Trussel Trust, fgs! All because a clever person managed to divert funds from H & M to this excellent charity.
And of course, Catherine and William, whose characters they've tried to assassinate and whose marriage and health have been targeted by their bullies.

I'm going to say it, since so many unsubstantiated claims are peddled by the Sussex supporters: I think that Catherine's illness (and maybe KC's) are not unconnected with what they've been subjected to by H & M and their attack dogs. What they've done is unforgivable and I'm horrified that so many, even on MN, absolutely refuse to see this.

I hope their aren't any actual Squaddies on here, but if there are, then shame on you all.

Oh yes - them too. And I'm sure there are other high-profile victims I've forgotten about. Disgusting behaviour. I genuinely don't know how they sleep at night.

MummyJ12 · 16/07/2024 11:16

Quite!

I think they're people of limited intelligence. They've been given a script, or just a list of phrases and jibes which they will illiterately parrot on here - so, so many times with the same rubbish.

But strangely, when you ask them to justify themselves, or ask a direct question, or urge them to engage with points people have made they disappear into the mist. They are truly a pathetic, immature and nasty bunch.

MummyJ12 · 16/07/2024 11:27

It’s mainly journalists who are targeted on a day to day basis and just normal people like us who are using SM platforms that they target, bully and harass. Mass and coordinated block and report tactics (#SSBlocklist) this is not just to harass but also to control and censor. Limiting freedom of speech.
Some people are doxxed and they then hound these people at work and at home.
It’s absolutely disgusting.

TallerSally · 16/07/2024 11:27

StrawberriesandCreamTea · 15/07/2024 21:43

Depends where you want to start and how it was done. Newspapers, social media, journalists lined up to write and post abominable articles. Slowly but surely a woman was baited and criticised in a very unique manner. A climate was created here in the UK and slowly a public was persuaded to see her in a particular way.

Harry wrote a book, more people than not loved it. I certainly see no problem in writing about his life and his interactions with those around him. I always found it interesting that William chose the South African tour to leak his feelings and thoughts to the press. Sources close to KP principals forever feeding the media. Harry has gone on record and good for him! Meghan. She told the truth about her life. Her experiences. How everyone chooses to interpret that is up to them. I can only imagine what the trolling of her online has done to her mental health. Depression and suicide ideation is something many people live with but do not necessarily share with others. So many people say they are shocked when someone they know has taken their own life and they hadn’t a clue regarding their internal struggles. Smiling for the world and going out when inside there is despair is not unusual. It is why mental health issues are seen as invisible disabilities.

As for Catherine, Meghan spoke about what happened there and so did Harry. It seems she is not given a pass for her behaviour by the followers of Meghan. No different from those who adore Catherine yet continue to despise and assassinate the character of Meghan. Pot. Kettle. Nothing new to see.

Hear-hear!

I certainly love the way Harry and Megan are continuing to pursue and support their projects and non-profits, including Invictus and one of my favourites, Scotty’s Little Soldiers, IGNORING (as we all do) the constant background drumbeat moronic ranting of their haters on social media, all standing in a circle chanting to each other all day long how M&H are worthless sub-humans in comparison to xyz Perfect Member of the God-Appointed British Royal Family (or even as long as they criticise H&M, the Taliban)

Reminds me of the monks scene in Monty Python’s The Holy Grail… 😂😂😂

Totally agree.

AliceOlive · 16/07/2024 11:33

As for Catherine, Meghan spoke about what happened there and so did Harry.

Harry has gone on record saying his own memory is not always reality. He also was obviously taken aback to hear what Meghan was telling Oprah about a conversation he relayed. It was a serious “recollections May vary and you weren’t even there to recall anything” moment.

So both are prone to a victim narrative that is not quite believable.

Now they want to reconcile.

MummyJ12 · 16/07/2024 11:34

Also love how the video of Princess Catherine getting a standing ovation at Wimbledon was viewed on the ESPY YouTube channel over a million times in less than 24 hours. 💗 Harry’s awards video is still on a couple of hundred thousand views after almost a week.
Says a lot.

Harry “I love my family”. I guess the Sussex Squad followers and fans will be going after him soon enough for daring to backtrack.
