Just been catching up on this thread
It's funny, it reads like an adult conversation with a couple of toddlers occasionally going "But Mumeeeee! Why is it? I don't understaaaaand"

Sums up the royal board throughout pretty much every thread lately.

She looks very healthy, unlike Charles who really does look ill.

@JudgeJ and possibly not seen again!

Does anyone remember some woman getting into Blair's face when he was out campaigning one election? I can recall comments along the lines of 'OMG in my country they'd have been dragged off by the police and not seen again for a couple of days!'

I do like the British way. 'Of course you can protest. And we can ignore you.'

It is nice to see Kate up and about again. It's amazing at how far we have come in treating cancer. I am assuming she had immunotherapy. Let's hope it doesn't return 🤞

It's an awkward age to have cancer. When you look at him he is strong mentally. He's not giving up he wants to live each day I hope he beats cancer.

MyQuaintDog · 15/06/2024 14:43

Charles has been very determined and has continued to work throughout in spite of very obviously being pretty ill.

I think he looks a bit tired and is probably cold and wet. He’s looked quite well at other recent events

I think we're supposed to be getting the message from someone that he's on his last legs and the monarchy's tottering,

Sophie, Louise, Anne’s husband, Duke of Kent and Duke of Gloucester on the balcony. William, Edward and Anne were on the horses

I spotted the Duchess of Gloucester on far left of the balcony at Buck House. I'm assuming that James, Sophie and Edward's son was missing because he's in the middle of his GCSEs at his boarding school? (not sure if he boards or not).

Yes I thought that too 😂

eta but I did think he looked a bit cold

We don't know if he is still having treatment. I expect it's been quite tiring today. He's out and about on Monday at some Garter Ceremony so it will be interesting to see how he looks then. I was surprised that the King took the salute back at the Palace. He had no canopy above him there so he must have got pretty soaked and a bit cold.

Catherine was beautifully dressed with a large hat she could hide behind if necessary, beautifully made up but very very thin even for her.

Standing on the podium with no cover to take the salute back at the Palace probably didn't help. Let's hope he was able to get warmed up quickly after the balcony appearance.

Oh was she? I didn’t see her and I don’t think James does much state occasions like trooping the colour does he? I think Edward and Sophie let him pick what he wants to do like Louise did before she turned 18 and then she decided to do more as well as going to uni

crumblingschools · 15/06/2024 15:16

It’s Royal Ascot this week so will be interesting to see who turns up for that

Puzzledandpissedoff · 15/06/2024 15:18

Unfortunately for the movement, it seems to have been taken over by those who just engage in performative protests, rather than legitimate activism to raise support for a Republic

You're not wrong, @MrsFinkelstein, but then for my taste too many of these things get hijacked by folk who just seem to want a ruck or to get their faces on telly

Ask them what their actual purpose is in being there and you get the usual 1000 yard stare ...

crumblingschools · 15/06/2024 15:23

It’s the old story of rent a mob. Which also means it was sensible that the BBC didn’t talk to them

ZoeCM · 15/06/2024 15:26

I don't think Charles looks ill. He looks old - which he is. But for a seventy-five-year-old man undergoing cancer treatment, he looks healthy enough.

Whippetlovely · 15/06/2024 15:29

I wonder if someone could clarify, she says she has months left but it’s just preventative, is that normal to take so long? I’ve not heard of anyone having preventative sadly only that have had higher stages. I assumed preventative would be less intrusive and less lengthy. I’m glad she looks so well hopefully that is a good sign. I expect also she’s getting the very best treatment (as she should)

Charles has said he is still having treatment for cancer.

Catherine looked beautiful, certainly has a bit of fragility to her face, good on her for attending.

ItsNotAShopItsAStore · 15/06/2024 15:34

Am o the only one who thought KCIII didn’t look very well?

Charles looks ill. He has cancer that he is having treatment for. So not surprising he does not look healthy.

I think he looks much older than he is and he doesn’t look well at all.
