Shame about the rain. I'm expecting my son to be soaked when I pick him up!

So lovely that the sun came out for the flypast.

My Dad was a scout selling programmes at the Coronation in 1953. He loves to describe how he got so wet he turned blue from the uniform dye.

Username1010 · 15/06/2024 13:08

George looks tired and bored tbh.

Charles looks exhausted.

Beafyudders · 15/06/2024 13:09

I pity the gobshites who criticise the Armed Forces.

If you think you can do better, please do feel encouraged to enlist. I doubt you’d cut the mustard but you would give your intake a laugh.

RAFOfficer · 15/06/2024 13:10

@Username1010 probably around £35k after 10 years.

Love that the sun came out for the flypast.

100% this.

One of those 'shuffling soldiers' is a relative who has served 2 tour of Afghanistan, the first when he was 18 years old.

Some people are an embarrassment to themselves and should stfu.

That seems a good salary. More than I thought tbh.

Lovely to see them all together

You sound exhausted, tired and bored all in one. Why don’t you take a break and do something you enjoy. It would give everyone else a rest, too.

MartyFunkhouser · 15/06/2024 13:12

Love a fly past. Stunning.

You could really hear the chants of the Republic protestors.

crumblingschools · 15/06/2024 13:13

Why are you watching if you are so bored by it @Username1010

Beafyudders · 15/06/2024 13:13

Air.

A valuable commodity.

And utterly fucking wasted on some.

MeandBobbyMcGoo · 15/06/2024 13:13

Princess Catherine looked beautiful and so at ease with her children and family. Just lovely to see her smiling.

Thmssngvwlsrnd · 15/06/2024 13:13

Lovely to see Catherine looking so well.

I was flicking while waiting for Kate and other members of the RF to be shown.

Would not have bothered if they hadn’t been there.

BirthdayRainbow · 15/06/2024 13:14

I'm seven minutes behind and just watched the red arrows. When the national anthem started playing I found it very emotional. I loved how Charlotte nudged Louis to stand as she wanted but I feel sad at how young the children are and already their parents are next in line with the work load increased for obvious reasons. Plus of course the fact that the King and Princess of Wales are unwell.

JewelleryCat · 15/06/2024 13:16

Was I right in hearing some were shouting not my king when the fly past was happening?

crumblingschools · 15/06/2024 13:17

@Username1010 but then you moaned about them too

Willmafrockfit · 15/06/2024 13:17

Must be awful for them all to hear the booing, no wonder they looked so serious

Willmafrockfit · 15/06/2024 13:18

I heard not my king as well

As is their right to protest.

I could briefly hear them on the BBC, but they were quickly drowned out by the noise of the flypast and the cheers from the crowd.

It's seems a pointless way to protest IMO, when they'll just piss off the rest of the crowds, but people need summat to do I suppose, and they do very little else to drum up support for a Republic.

Sadly, yes

FWIW I'm a republican myself, but wouldn't turn up to something like this; why spoil a nice day for those who enjoy it when the point can be made perfectly well elsewhere?

Well at least we know where all the “stalwarts” are today 🤣🤣🤣

Were you watching the same thing as the rest of us? He was engaged, chatting to his dad, smiling, looking at the planes.

I think it was quite evident how warm the relationship between Charles and Catherine is.

I think that was more to do with where they were positioned in proximity to the mics than the number.

But it isn't a family occasion. It is a state occasion. Hence only working royals.

"working" 😅
