Inspired by @Ladypenelopeforever ‘s post.

I find that William is photogenic and this is one of the best photos (albeit not candid) of him in a while.

What do you see? For me, I see humour about his lips and the faraway look in his eyes has a touch of sadness. Overall, the Prince has gravitas, he does not need the red folder to signal that. There is also a reddish blush to his skin. Either he caught the sun during the D Day commemoration or he is blushing for some reason

Let us see if we can keep comments positive, friendly and on topic this time. One can hope. 🙏

OK, I'll bite.

Wistful. Calm, although possible hints of anxious undertones.

Or possibly thinking "I need a wee, let's make this photo a quick one so I can go to the lav ASAP!" 😅

I see a boring looking non descript bald bloke who won the birth lottery.

Oh lol 😆

BlueParrotRedParrot · 13/06/2024 16:13

Would you all make the same nasty remarks about Gail Porter or Jada Pinkett Smith? Or other women who have suffered stress related alopecia, like Tyra Banks, Viola Davis, Jesy Nelson and a lot of our teenage girls out there, subjected to bullying and the stresses of school and growing up in a climate of instagram perfection? What about the women who suffer hair loss following pregnancy? What about all the women suffering traction alopecia because of hair extensions? What about the women who suffer androgenetic hair loss? Or do you just reserve your nasty remarks for men who can't help having male pattern baldness, and who probably wouldn't look at you twice either?

All I see is overwhelming privilege.

What does that look like.

Tell me this is a parody post, please tell me nobody really thinks like that

Yes it’s a wind up, OP is not a PW fan in any shape or form.

I agree. A truly nasty thread.

OutwiththeOutCrowd · 13/06/2024 16:16

I see a man patiently waiting for his photograph to be taken so he can get back to the sudoku puzzle hidden in his monogrammed folder.

LadyHavelockVetinari · 13/06/2024 16:21

He looks like a glazed potato in a suit.

chipsewfast · 13/06/2024 16:21

NoDishyRishi · 12/06/2024 23:40

Wtf - it's a middle aged balding bloke in an expensive suit.

😂

Princessfluffy · 13/06/2024 16:31

I think he looks like his dad

Blondiebeachbabe · 13/06/2024 16:36

If he flew past you in high vis, hanging off the back of a bin lorry, you wouldn't give him a second glance.

CactusMactus · 13/06/2024 16:36

He looks a bit like a boiled potato and I do love potatoes.

I think you need to unclench.

Sure. I'm guessing your name is ironic. That's me unclenching.

KnickerlessParsons · 12/06/2024 23:34

Gosh, you read a lot into that photo!

Yea this is weird

MaryFuckingFerguson · 13/06/2024 16:42

The potato comparisons are excellent.

As are some of the indignant frothing posts. I don’t think anyone would take the piss out of a bald woman. It’s just not the same at all.

Borisandthefridge · 13/06/2024 16:44

I just see a human version of matchstick monkey

OnHisSweaterAlreadyMomsSpaghetti · 13/06/2024 16:45

He looks like he’s just let out a sneaky fart and is hoping no one notices

This!!

Sorenips11 · 13/06/2024 16:46

I think it's a boring photo for a future king. Bring back the portraits of old, where the king would stand in full regalia, including sword, in front of a sweeping staircase or banquet. Holding up a severed head would really add to the drama.

VibeOnWithMyGalPals · 13/06/2024 16:46

What about taking the piss out of a woman for other age related “faults” - wrinkles, drooping breasts, saggy eyes, hair loss, grey hair… would that be equally acceptable and hilarious?

Alltheyearround · 13/06/2024 16:46

Middle aged man on train. I wouldn't give him a second look tbh.

Unless he has some free cash in the red folder he wants to donate to my re-carpeting fund.

This. We need more GoT vibes here PR people. Get your imaginations out of their box and think cloaks, bling, dragons, shouting!

Man on train = boring

I think that’s probably true. But when was it ever said that to be royal one must pass the “ glance at me twice on a rubbish truck” test?

I think people are jealous of William and Kate.

I’m not sure why as I can’t think of anything worse than living in a goldfish bowl with people saying I look like a potato when in fact I’m perfectly normal looking, and being unable to suffer cancer or go bald without nasty comments on public forums. And while they have security, I’m sure the security risk around them and their dcs is a constant background concern. I think people need to give them a break. And while Kate arguably signed up to it, it probably felt easier as a twenty-something fiancée; and William
never signed up, he just stepped up. I don’t envy them but I think many of the snarky posters on these threads do.

Yeah he’s sitting in first class with a red folder - which I guess is what is meant by comments that it looks like a photo of privilege etc. However I’m sure there is an awful lot behind that doesn’t look at all like privilege. I think they seem to have a good marriage and I hope they are happy together and find support in each other, because they deserve that at least.

Very true. But Princes don’t have to be attractive? It would probably be very galling if those Windsors had got good looks as well as unearned privilege and untold wealth.
