Harry’s litigation

Harry has been mostly denied permission to increase the scope of his case against NGN. The judge has, quite rightly, allowed him to include new allegations of phone tapping and other accusations against private investigators and journalists. What he has not allowed is Harry to extend the timeline to include allegations around Diana or Meghan when she was his girlfriend. The judge also made disparaging remarks about Harry’s lawyers adding more and more detail, and going for “trophy targets”

Is Harry losing sight of what legal action should be for and becoming vexatious?

Yes, disposing of evidence is classed as perverting the course of justice and is an offence.

The judicial system really does not like people who pervert the course of justice. It's taken very seriously.

@Veritysays897

“All she has done is married a prince and decided that the person she was required to be in that role would compromise the way she wants to live her life to an unacceptable extent. And you know what, she is allowed to do that”

But she was happy to accept the £32million wedding , the expensive designer clothes, jewellery and - most important - the title .
I have said it before but I will say it again , why cling on to a title given to you by a family who , allegedly, made you suicidal ? Why inflict royal titles on their DC ?

Sure she is. But the impression Meghan gave was that she was happy to be in the RF, happy to embrace the role she was given - she had her veil embroidered with symbols of the Commonwealth, that's how seriously she was, apparently, taking it. That's either one hell of a volte face or as Tom Bower said, it was planned all along, and the RF and the British public were taken for mugs in a very big way.

A better response on her part would have been to ease in gently and learn, like Kate did, and see if she really could hack it before getting married. But IMO that wasn't the plan and never was. The plan was get married, talk granny into half in and half out, bail, and milk royal connections for all they're worth; because as it turns out, that was the only USP they had. And that's looking pretty threadbare.

MrsLeonFarrell · 27/06/2024 21:44

I don't see any evidence Megan is unsupportive. But I don't think the most supportive wife in the world would help Harry. He needs effective therapy.

I do wonder if it's Harry that's clinging rather than Meghan. I may be wrong of course but he is so chippy about being the spare I could easily see him insisting on titles and her going along with it.

I don't think she had any idea about the day to day reality of being a senior working royal and Harry was so scared of losing her he deliberately dropped her into the life unprepared. That isn't to say she didn't enjoy the wedding and the jewellery etc but all that comes at a high price and as a moderately successful actress maybe it wasn't worth it.

Therapy seems to have made him worse.

StartupRepair · 27/06/2024 22:01

It seems like a very wide ranging request for evidence , that basically they want Harry's entire text and email history.

He seems to have had the sort of therapy that helps explain why you feel the way you do without helping you come to terms with events and move into a healthier mindset.

'it only takes one nut job to be unduly influenced by all the negative comment, and decide to do something really stupid and malicious.'

Try telling the Sussex Squad that. Oh, of course, you've never heard of them............

Gorgonemilezola · 27/06/2024 22:14

'As far as I can see, H & M are trying to live their lives as normally as possible'

I wouldn't class pseudo 'royal' tours of Nigeria as living a life normally. Or giving interviews, writing books and making documentaries villifying your family. Or thanking a group of people who are abusing your family, making death threats, writing filth, spreading untrue rumours, bullying young children. Maybe that's normal for you, most people probs not.

with a name like yours you’ve obviously got a sense of humour.

Why is it necessary to be so goady? ! I just happen to put across a pov that doesn’t align with yours. It is allowed you know!

Icedpurple is able to disagree without being combative, so it is possible!

Yes it is allowed to have a different view point, yet you don’t seem to like that posters view points don’t align with yours and have tried to shut posters down by accusing them of posting hate and nasty things about Meghan. I would say that is pretty combative and goady.

Yes, wonder what happens when he can't provide it ?

and this just sound totally off the wall.

In his oral ruling, the judge said he had “real concerns” this issue was being “inadequately” dealt with by Harry’s legal team, adding that the majority of searches for material had been carried out by the duke himself rather than lawyers.
He said Harry had “only disclosed five documents as being relevant” to issues to be considered at trial, describing this as “rather remarkable and gives me cause for concern about the disclosure exercise”.

I think he’s had way too much therapy, his nose is stuck in his navel.

Everybody, get your bingo cards out.

To get back to this latest development. I can't access the Telegraph link, but from the links I can access, have I got this right?

If Harry knew about stuff before the deadline for bringing action expired, he can't now bring the action.

NGN think his email/ messaging history might show he did know about stuff before the expiry deadline. Especially his exchanges with his ghostwriter.

Harry has been cavalier in providing information, and may have actually deleted (intentionally or not) info NGN believes relevant.

The judge is concerned with Harry's legal team's handling of this matter.

Vespanest · 27/06/2024 23:13

Harry in the RAVEC one communicated to Johnny Mercer when he shouldn’t have and in this one he now has to provide the judge a witness statement on how and why emails have been deleted, especially as its happened after the legal case began. The judge also ordered Harry to pay 2/3 of 132,000 which Harry team are arguing is too high a figure for the amount of work. It’s never ending.

He should have thought about taking a trip on a North Sea ferry…

or perhaps a big bubbly pan of jam

If you look at jeff’s post at 16.50, she has archived the telegraph story so you can access it. I think you have got the gist of it though
