Harry’s litigation

smilesy · 21/05/2024 14:15

Harry has been mostly denied permission to increase the scope of his case against NGN. The judge has, quite rightly, allowed him to include new allegations of phone tapping and other accusations against private investigators and journalists. What he has not allowed is Harry to extend the timeline to include allegations around Diana or Meghan when she was his girlfriend. The judge also made disparaging remarks about Harry’s lawyers adding more and more detail, and going for “trophy targets”

Is Harry losing sight of what legal action should be for and becoming vexatious?

All the people posting nasty comment after nasty comment on here about H & M; can't you see that you are part of the problem? You don't have to like them, or like what they have done, but they are parents of young DC and as such it would seem sensible and reasonable to desist from endless criticism. All of the negative comments on sm potentially build up enough steam to incite some nutter or another to actually attack. We've seen it before with Jo Cox.

Perhaps you should post this on the Sussex Squad website who truly are vile to Kate, no one on here is remotely on their level, people criticising their behaviour and actions isn’t being nasty as you say, they are public figures who live their life very publicly, laid out bare for all to see through various mediums. They are not beyond reproach or criticism because they are parents.

Groan, I'll bite, against my better judgement.

I hate the back and forth but I was responding to a poster who said specifically "But she’s not supporting him adequately in coming to terms with his changed role."

It just seemed like yet another gratuitous reason to criticise Meghan!

I was querying what that support might look like as I have never ever had to support my dh with any career changes he's made. Not once. And he's had a long career.

So enough of the disingenuousness"how odd" comments please! It's perfectly obvious I wasn't talking about marital support in general. I've been happily married for over three decades so I know what that looks like thanks very much.

Not interested in your marriage thanks.

I don't know who the Sussex Squad are, and I certainly don't look at the sort of websites where people who are inclined to make remarks like that might comment, so I wouldn't know. I only look at Mumsnet so am commenting on what happens here.

As far as I can see, H & M are trying to live their lives as normally as possible, whilst attending various charitable events, and are keeping their DC out of the limelight which I think is very sensible indeed.

But people on here keep starting threads in order to churn up the same negative comments about them, repeating the same criticisms endlessly, and that all becomes part of the overall negative rhetoric against them. Not only is it playing to the the tabloids tune, as they benefit financially from controversy, it only takes one nut job to be unduly influenced by all the negative comment, and decide to do something really stupid and malicious. So no I don't blame H and M at all when they say they have security concerns. And fwiw I would have the same fears if I was C and W.

Not interested in your marriage thanks.

😄 I don't expect you are. And yet you were the one trying to imply that I was odd for not knowing how "Normal healthy relationships" work, to use your exact words.

Is it necessary to be rude just because I don't share your viewpoint?

BigWillyLittleTodger · 27/06/2024 19:16

Funny how you have never heard of the Sussex Squad seeing as they are mentioned continuously on threads which you apparently read on here, obviously passed you by. If you don’t like Meghan and Harry being criticised best not read the threads if it upsets you, you can’t control what people think and say about them, as I have said, put yourself out there and you have to expect people’s thoughts and observations, no public figure is above reproach parents or non parents.

I have never ever had to support my dh with any career changes he's made. Not once. And he's had a long career.

In my case, I have supported my husband in his career since very early in our marriage, We move every few years with his organisation and there is a whole big expat community of trailing spouses (male and female) who are doing it to support their partners careers.

It's not such a strange thing at all.

Flounsette · 27/06/2024 19:46

Just observing in a stalwart stylee.

Although I did support my partner.

And he did support me.

We trailed after eachother.

To be fair though, I’m not seeing much support from Meghan. When they are together, he is very much the handbag carrier.

I wonder if there are pictures of him wearing the pigeon dress on that hard drive?

JADS · 27/06/2024 19:46

Is this a derail to stop the discussion around Harry and the lost Hard Drives?

I did that too.

JADS · 27/06/2024 19:51

Did Harry really only £140000 for the hacking case? Didn't William reportedly get £1 million?

IcedPurple · 27/06/2024 19:59

So no I don't blame H and M at all when they say they have security concerns.

Their 'security concerns' are just that though.

Theirs.

They chose to live in California as private citizens, so they can fund their security themselves. As lots of other people way more high profile than them do. Their 'security concerns' are not the concerns of the British taxpayer.

Never having heard of the Sussex Squad seems to be almost as essential as 'not caring about Harry and Meghan' for certain renamed stalwarts.

Edited to say that I replied to the wrong post and this was intended as a reply to @BigWillyLittleTodger

Ahh
possibly.

also having read some of the threads on here when Kate had her operation and then subsequently made her announcement. Didn’t have to venture to other SM sites to vile comments.

ffs I’m trying to edit my post to make sense. Ever since my last iphone update I seem unable to edit properly without deleting huge chunks 😬😬 so I apologise for the grammar

Flounsette · 27/06/2024 20:04

If someone else says the s* word, does that mean they show themselves?

I’d rather start asking for Candyman.

Come on *BigWillyLittleTodger *
with a name like yours you’ve obviously got a sense of humour.

Why is it necessary to be so goady? ! I just happen to put across a pov that doesn’t align with yours. It is allowed you know!

Icedpurple is able to disagree without being combative, so it is possible!

Veritysays897 · 27/06/2024 20:09

It’s not a deliberate derail no. I just happened to reply to one point on the thread and, without wishing to, got involved in a back and forth which is boring for everyone I’m sure.

I am just trying to express a few opinions which are contrary to the majority on here that’s all. Having done that, I’ll leave you all to it. Have a good evening everyone.

Threads "passing by" would be understandable given that the poster has only been here a couple of days - unless of course it's another name change?

I am trying to get my head around as to why they would provide two hard drives and not the encryption, why would they hand them over in the first place, surely it would have been better to argue of there irrelevance. This just looks like an attempt to deceive

Flounsette · 27/06/2024 20:54

He should have thought about taking a trip on a North Sea ferry…

Yes, disposing of evidence is classed as perverting the course of justice and is an offence.
