Maybe it’s all AI and she’s really Kate.

FloofyBear · 26/05/2024 14:33

@Sunnyandsilly - fair points! You've won me over, both thick as posts

Or maybe Meghan in Nigeria was really Kate using AI to appear as Meg, and dressing inappropriately to cause more problems for Meghan. It would explain a number of things.

JaneJeffer · 26/05/2024 14:54

I'm humming the Mission Impossible theme tune @AliceOlive

JaneJeffer · 26/05/2024 14:57

I wonder if this is as good as Jilly?

Meghan always gets it right. So there must be an explanation!

Not Nigeria, but ...... According to US government lawyers, releasing Harry's visa documents could bring 'Stigma' to the Prince as it includes law enforcement documents . What the heck has Harry been up to ?

He added that the records contained 'confidential law enforcement tools and techniques'.

It is the first time law enforcement records have been mentioned in connection with the duke's visa case.

And while it is currently unclear what records are being referred to, an LA-based immigration lawyer said last night: 'Law enforcement records could mean the police, FBI, airport police, secret service, military police or even the highway patrol. The word that jumps out is "stigma". It is not a word you would expect to see in a routine visa application.

'It's a highly unusual word not usually seen in cases like this and it begs the question, what is in there that could attach a stigma to Prince Harry's application?

'There is no way of knowing until the records are made public.'

Edited

When you apply for permanent residency to the US you have to include police reports from any countries you’ve lived in before. For the UK you get a sheet from the police which lists any arrests or charges - and it includes any that have been ‘expunged’ because you were a minor etc.

The US can use that information to deny your visa but they do use their own discretion. And they don’t treat all applicants the same for regular people with no clout - so I imagine they definitely give more leeway to VIPs when they want to.

So maybe Harry has something on a police database that was hushed up but still turns up on a police access report.

DelectableMe · 26/05/2024 17:13

What kind of visa will he be on?

The Mirror is now running with the story of what the First Lady of Nigeria said in her speech.

https://www.mirror.co.uk/3am/us-celebrity-news/meghan-markle-slammed-first-lady-32896533

That is a particularly bad angle for that dress. It really looks like she is showing side boob and it the colour blends with her flesh. I can’t imagine she would ever have thought of visiting a school in the US dressed like that 🤷‍♀️

CremeFresh · 26/05/2024 18:15

Just found this , wasn't there a rumour ages ago about something like this. I'm vaguely remembering a photo of him and a woman maybe ( wish I could remember properly)

The squad response seems to be varied.

  • The First Lady wasn’t throwing shade at Meghan and we’re all just haters.
  • The Royal Family made her say it.
  • The daughter of the First Lady dresses shamefully so who is she to speak and it’s hypocritical. (She’s a model!)

I am also seeing Rose Hanbury being discussed again. Saying that William has moved out to be with her !
It really is awful.

MummyJ12 · 26/05/2024 18:21

Totally agree @smilesy that dress is more suited to brunch in Ibiza, and even then, not in that colour…..

@Mylovelygreendress they become even more vile when there’s bad press about their icons. Bouzy has been especially disgusting this weekend. Richard Eden has picked up on how bad it’s getting.

And all based on an article that the "source" for it has publicly disavowed.

I actually think they are shooting themselves in the foot here. They react so wildly every time there is a hint of bad news about the Sussexes that they are just starting to look increasingly bonkers and it is becoming obvious that they are trying to divert attention by repeating the same stupid accusations and outlandish rumours. I can’t imagine that most people can take them even slightly seriously anymore

ArcaneWireless · 26/05/2024 18:50

There have been a few rumours about the jolly pwince over the years.

Also about the halfnaked country claimer.

They aren’t pretty.

And they didn’t make the book.

Which means they are either untrue (in which case they’d have slotted into the book just fine) or they didn’t want them airing because of the ‘stigma’.

I know what side my money is on.

ArcaneWireless · 26/05/2024 18:53

And as for the pitiful retaliation against the RF for the First Lady snub?

If they thought it was pish they’d be mocking it. But they know it isn’t and so they have defaulted to the retaliatory j’accuse position.

The truth hurts.

DelectableMe · 26/05/2024 19:00

I think it's possible to be a fan of a celebrity, but this seems to have tipped over into something else. They're like religious fundamentalists - H&M can do no wrong and have a strange quasi saintly status. To the extent of targeting and threatening innocent people. It's really very unhealthy and H&M should distance themselves, if not make a statement about some of the worst behaviour.

ArcaneWireless · 26/05/2024 19:12

They should but they won’t.

They are going down the ‘well it wisnae me’ route and that is fine because it wasn’t.

But when you are hypocritical enough to speak out about online hate and yet don’t address the hate spewed in your name?

It takes a special breed to do that.

By percentages, that makes them 57% twat. Only that doesn’t sound wuite enough.

Which makes me, just like the First Lady, very much doubt the Nigerian percentage.

ArcaneWireless · 26/05/2024 19:34

Quite. Not wuite.

I agree with all of this. But I can’t for the life of me think what that something may be that would cause stigma?
