I thought the comparison with the Duke snd Duchess of Windsor (last post on the previous thread) was interesting.

A visit to a dodgy regime, (Nazi Germany) because they would call Wallis HRH and make it a quasi-royal tour.

Of course, at that point Nazi Germany had a dodgy human rights record, but it was before the horrors of the Holocaust.

Let's face it, with the security and human rights issues there is no way the IG could happen in Nigeria. So that is sn excuse.

I think it is the dress. I’ve seen that photo. Whatever, it doesn’t have a lot of coverage at the back, is the sort of colour that makes you look naked at a glance and is far too long to walk about in without hoiking it up 😂

I’m not sure that is a wide panel either. Although to be fair, it isn’t entirely backless.

Still not appropriate for school children though.

I was mystified by the colour choice so I asked ChatAI why anyone would wear a flesh coloured dress. This is what I got back:

I'm going to say not too much of a back to it, and not flattering, but I don't know what her arrangements are vis a vis clothing.
I don't like skin toned clothing, but that's a personal choice.

I've just seen this picture on X. I don't think the teenage girls were very impressed with her dress either.

I don’t think it looks like evening wear in the peach but it’s ok to dislike it. I just think there’s a fair bit of hyperbole in the comments about it.

It really is the worst possible dress. Zero redeeming qualities.

My goodness you are pedantic. Ok, so strictly speaking it is not backless, but would you agree that it doesn’t offer much coverage? Do you think it’s appropriate for anyone to rock up to a school showing that much flesh?

It's a sideless dress, which is more revealing than a backless dress. Hope she picks out a pretty dress for tomorrow's show.

I know flesh colour is fashionable, I really don't think it looks good.
When she was an official royal and subbed by Charles she wore good strong colours, red, yellow, purple, green. I thought she looked far better.

Probably disappointed it wasn’t jam and lemons.
