I’ve been thinking quite a lot about Harry’s attitude towards the RF and I’ve noticed that whenever he and Meghan are accused of lying, or exaggerating or changing their stories, there’s a common theme running through all these untruths.

And that is: we are victims, we have have suffered

So some of these are verified lies, some just likely to be lies, but off the top of my head

  • I got a call from an aide telling me the Queen Mother had died - “Aren’t my family so cold that I found out in that terrible way” (a verified lie)
  • Archie wasn’t going to be given a title -“Poor us, we aren’t getting what the first son is getting” (a verified lie)
  • Daddy took away my security - “Poor us mean people want to kill us and Pa doesn’t even care!” (A verified lie)
  • Someone made a comment about concern for the baby’s skin colour - “I’m a victim of racism poor me”
  • 3 days before our wedding me got married - “We were soooo oppressed by this archaic culture that makes us have this awful spectacle, we just HAD to break free and do our own thing”(a verified lie)
  • Archie wasn’t going to be given security - “They want him to die!” (A verified lie)
  • We didn’t feed Omid Scobie information for his book - “Poor me I had to get My Truth out there because everyone is mean!” (A verified lie)
  • We had a high speed car chase through NYC - “We are such victims people want to kill is the same way they killed mummy” (a verified exaggeration)
  • Kate made me cry not the other way around - “Poor me she’s out to get me”
  • I wasn’t allowed to see a doctor, someone said it wouldn’t be good for the institution- “Poor me they want me to suffer”y family sell stories about me - “They’re out to get me because they’re jealous!”
  • The UK is too unsafe for us - “An otherwise safe country wants to hurt and kill us for no good reason!”

I ask myself “Why would they do that”. It’s quite bold to grow up among immense wealth and privilege, having had done very little actual work, to then decide to convince normal people who struggle pay the electric bill that you are actually the biggest perpetual victim of all.

Because I FULLY believe that Victim is their entire brand and they planned to cultivate it from the very beginning.

I think they chose “Victim” as their MO because Harry is VERY aware he was Poor Harry for many years because at the age of 12 he lost his mum and walked behind her coffin. He knows the public took that Harry into their hearts and in the preceding years forgave him for some absolutely shocking behaviour.

So what do two talentless people with very little to offer outside the royal family, do when faced with the question of “How will we become popular and sustain popularity”? they’ve decided what worked before was “Make them feel sorry for us” - couple it with a “we are so in loooove” byline and, on paper, you have a good LA-esque brand idea.

However, in reality when you’re a 40 year old man sitting in a $14 million mansion in an Armani suit, a millionaire in your own right, moaning (lying) about how daddy cut you off, it doesn’t quite cut the same as a cute 12 year old boy in mourning.

And FWIW I don’t think that it’s all Meghan doing this. I think he’s always been a petulant nasty envious little prick and his People repressed it very well for a long time, but he met another petulant prick and they became an unstoppable force together.

Absolutely agree with this. There are many more lies too.

This. How easily people are played by media. Nobody on here know these two people. To call people you don't know" dim" and "narcissistic " is a bit ridiculous. You don't know if they are in touch with each other or what their relationship is like. And it's also none of anyone's business. The hate for this couple is really sad. Perhaps think how you would feel if people were discussing your family or daughter/son in this way.

Well I’ve raised my son and daughter to show them they are not above consequences and they need to take responsibility for their actions.

behave like a twat and expect to be treated like a twat

Hurry up and fly away again!

Sillystrumpet · 09/05/2024 06:30

Curious to see the Spencer’s fronting up at invictus and all the sudden loving relationship there, feels rather pointed, and the media will make much of it.

Which just says to me it really is such a shame that invictus is now all about Harry and Megan and , that they leverage it for their benefit, and little about invictus itself now.

IsoldeWagner · 09/05/2024 06:33

This is the problem with Invictus.
It was given to Harry in good faith.
It's now the Meghan and Harry show.

Mylovelygreendress

I have no idea why certain posters ( some name changes??) do the what-about-Andrew stuff to try to defend Harry

I think it's just habit now.
It's a low bar though: "Whatever Harry's done, at least he's not Andrew" isn't much of a defence.

I definitely thought this was going to be Androo from the title (e.g., back in public life/in the public eye) and the "Shady" reference.

While A can do what he likes in private, his being "back" in this sense would be something worth commenting on. Harry being back in the UK to work on something we all know he's working on and to see his dad, though? Unremarkable and not our business, IMO. And no need to "defend" him as I imagine he holds a UK passport and can visit as he likes. (Hell, they even let Americans in, temporarily!)

IsoldeWagner · 09/05/2024 06:47

Not our business? I think anything in the public domain is anyone's business.
Harry is free to come and go as he pleases, although he didn't come specifically to see an ill parent or sister in law, just as he didn't visit the late Queen at Balmoral. His choice, but I always wonder why he positions himself as such a person of high morality, philanthropy and kindness.

roastedrapidly · 09/05/2024 07:11

Nothing in the coverage is about Invictus itself - it's all about Harry / Meghan and their family drama. It's such a shame, I wonder how the service men & women feel about it?

Lifestooshort71 · 09/05/2024 07:33

Ohpleeeease · 08/05/2024 22:26

Have you listened to the video? It wasn’t cheering, it was a weird cacophony of whistles and shrieking. Bizarre. Who would make that sort of noise as a gesture of support?

The extra-loud whistles and shrieks (from probably 3 people?) were planted to drown out any possible boos and turn a negative experience into a positive.

Thedom · 09/05/2024 07:56

Who else was at the event, other than Harry?

we now know his horrible uncle was there, his aunt and obviously the celebrants cause we saw them at the front door.

Nothing about anyone else, the only person we see entering, (staged very poignantly, alone in a vast area, a la Diana at the Taj Mahal) is H.

Thedom · 09/05/2024 08:10

You can clearly hear the boo's on the BBC coverage,

Why didn't Harry accompany a group of vets entering (were there any there?) or some of the other board members from Invictus (were they there?).

I don't think the booing would have happened if he had been with the Vets, not to say he should have used them as cover to prevent the booing, but it would have been a much more inclusive gesture than it appearing as though Harry used it as an opportunity to show how 'alone' he is in the UK.

What a performance.

I wonder if all the SM posts about ‘where is Kate’ by the Sussex squad and the vicious allegations about William was the final straw for the King.

Also add in that the Nigeria trip can’t be seen to have royal or government approval and I think we are close to why Charles can’t or won’t see Harry on this trip.

Yes Twitter is absolutely vicious with the ‘H&M superfans’ right now peddling all sorts of conspiracy theories

And they aren’t even clever theories.

back on December 28th some fella posted a video of a convoy going through central London near the King Edward VII hospital. He assumed it was a Royal convoy and put something like “Hope all is ok at Sandringham I think this is a royal convoy going in the general direction of the hospital.”

Someone months later after all the “where is Kate” loons started fancying themselves a particularly stupid group of Nancy Drews, someone found this tweet and said “Maybe it was Kate in an ambulance!”

In the last few weeks this has turned into “An ambulance was seen leaving Sandringham and was taken to hospital and Kate has never been seen since”

There original video (which I really wish this chap would take down but he’s now being hailed as some accidental poster boy of Uncovering the Truth, much to his annoyance) didn’t have an ambulance init just a convoy with a police car. Also, Sandringham is 120 miles away from where this convoy was. And to top it all off the registration plate and car type matches that of the Audi Rishi Sunak is constantly pictured travelling in.

it just shows how stupid and gullible people are and the power of spreading vicious rumours based on literally nothing.

Harry and Meghan could stop this nastiness by telling their superfans to stand down and stop the rumours. They certainly made enough noise when no one stood up for them after they lied and trashed the family. Poor Catherine has done nothing wrong and yet they sit by and watch the bullying persist and stay silent. Horrible people

I assumed the same. However it also drowned out any actual cheering (if there was any).

Edited for typo!

Trust the Spencers to pitch up. Anything to score points against the rf.

I suppose any support better late than never is welcome. Diana's older sisters must be haunted by how they didn't do everything in their power to protect their vulnerable younger sister and stop the sham marriage going ahead.

lollipoprainbow · 09/05/2024 09:10

At least his real family were there to support him.

@MrsFinkelstein They could at least honour veterans, and not just when it suits them. It is disgraceful that not one of them attended the Invinctus service today.

I expect this has been referred to already but if Harry can skip a memorial event for the Royal Marines in favour of the Lion King… then he would entirely understand.

I think even Harry would take offence at this, 🙄

Lampzade · 09/05/2024 09:21

Yet another thread bashing Harry. How very predictable .
Harry’s detractors are the ones who ensure that he is booked and busy.
The irony is that if the press stopped writing about him and posters on MN stopped starting threads he wouldn’t receive so much attention. Not going to happen though is it.
Too many obsessed posters
Great to see that members of the public supporting Harry yesterday.

Sillystrumpet · 09/05/2024 09:24

I just watched the video of him arriving at St Paul’s, it is indeed very very odd, there is clearly a small group of people screeching like mad. Maybe some idiots from the Sussex squad trying to avoid the boos. If so, they fucked up badly.

Even down to the haggling over money and how much the Windsors should be paid after the abdication. It's uncanny how history seems to be repeating itself.

Pulling up right in front of St Paul's and waving as if he's on a Royal tour. He'd get a bit more respect if he just arrived with everyone else but nope, still pretending to be a working Royal.

He is on a royal tour as far as he is concerned. That's quite obvious by his behaviour and demands.
