What exactly is "the Sussex Squad"?

Prydddan · 06/04/2024 14:56

I don't know whether this is too controversial a topic for such a thread to be allowed to stand. But I post in good faith on a topic I believe has a lot of social and political relevance.

Does the "Sussex Squad" actually exist? If so, how do you join? If not, do people ever identify as belonging to it?

If it exists, was it hijacked by SarahData and Bouzy or was it their creation? And, if so, to what extent?

Thanks in advance.

I don’t think this is about any one poster or platform. It’s about a group of people who have become so entrenched in group think (for whatever reason) that they appear to have lost all humanity and begun to believe that the ends justify the means.

How ever it started, it is time for it to stop. Some actions by Sussex Squad members has crossed the line into illegal acts.

And in the end it will only make the Sussex’s more unpopular.

UnicornMamma · 06/04/2024 22:00

It's a group of people gullible enough to believe the meg and harry lies.

Prydddan · 06/04/2024 22:01

Do you thing we will be able to.detect the new script when it emerges?

Not a great strategic thinker, is he? the one way to show that you've been associated with someone doing something suspect (speaking generally here) is to help them out when they need it (because they're in trouble over this suspect thing) and break cover, thereby proving to everyone that their suspicions about who was behind this suspect thing, whatever it was, were correct.

A bit off topic, but a bit relevant due to H&M using NDA's for their public appearances and god knows what else, has anyone seen the Netflix movie about the two NYT investigative journalists who tried to expose Weinstein, 'She Said' ? (well worth a watch)

The rumours about him were doing the rounds for years and years, but because of NDA's and settlements no one, absolutely no one, could touch him, Rose MeGowan alluded to it for years and lost her career over it, same with Ashley Judd. Both of them eventually agreed to being named to give the report credibility, along with one of Weinstein's assistants who had witnessed it, but not signed an NDA. It is shocking how much can be covered up with a payment linked to an NDA.

They really should be unenforceable for anything other than private personal information and business transactions.

Maybe people are busy now the weather is better. I for one have barely been on here now it's stopped raining, aside form work, it's movies nights, drinks after work, I spent 5hrs cleaning the driveway today and the gardening has started up too.

So I haven't had much time to post but specifically on the RF board ill be barely pn here after someone decided I was a Sussex squad member and refused to believe me when I said I wasn't. I'm not here for personal attacks or be told I'm associated with some group I'd never heard of until then.

So for some you wondering why some posters aren't posting anymore...well I'm not really for those reasons

So as you were with your conversation, have fun with them.

Edited

If you are pro-Sussex, why would it upset you to be associated with the "Sussex Squad"? This goes to the nub of my original questions.

If nothing else, it shows he believes he has links to the Sussex's and believes he has been working to their benefit, or worse on their behalf, if he feels he needs to call in their legal representatives for support.

It's all pretty shocking.

I said this on another thread after reading the Dan Wootton report it’s almost like a terrorist organisation, the things they have done really shocked me, I just thought they were rabid fans but it turns out they are deeply dangerous and sinister, they should be put in front of the authorities for the things they have done. If Meghan and Harry are proved to be connected to them as has been reported I really hope they can’t sleep at night and that they will be fully exposed for what they really are. I hope the pair of them are bricking it along with their pals Bouzy and Douton. So glad it’s all coming out for the world to see, it’s been a long time coming.

I don't think anyone is bored without them. Well I certainly am not. There is certainly a lot of curiosity over the parallel disappearance of the SS and meltdown of their apparent leaders and the sudden silence on these boards after the absolute frenzy of the last couple of months. Is it a mere coincidence? Many of us have observed talking points from the SS on twitter parroted on these boards, over and over again. Was that a coincidence? There is plenty of food for thought in what is happening now. Nothing boring about it at all. Enjoy the silence.

Ratsoffasinkingsauage · 06/04/2024 22:53

I look forward to being able to do more threads about how brave and composed Charles, William, Camilla and Catherine have been on the face of such a nasty, twisted online hate campaign. Really, this more than proves that never complain is a brilliant strategy.

Mymilkshakebringsallthepapstomycar · 06/04/2024 22:55

Indeed @Ratsoffasinkingsauage . It's looking like quite a different "endgame" to the one envisaged a few months ago.

Discussing a group that call themselves the Sussex squad who actively promote their heroes to have the argument “have you got nothing better to do” which is more fitting a question for the Sussex squad a group of grown adults on Twitter who treat Harry and Meghan like rockstars and themselves as teenagers. It’s psychological intriguing irrelevant of the subjects.

@Mymilkshakebringsallthepapstomycar The title of that book was puzzling. Did Omid Scobie really think that he was single handedly take down a 1000 year old institution. Or was it just part of the bigger picture for Sussex PR- we couldn’t have it so. I one can have it. See how much the monarchy sucks without us.

If find this all so bizarre. When they first left I was a bit disappointed but assumed they were telling the truth. But the story has become so wild and damaging that it really does seem like they are bad actors out for themselves. I would now not be surprised if I learned that they were partially finding the Sussex Squad.

Agree there are a few H&M diehards who have disappeared recently!!

They are all put in their gardens, cleaning their drives, gettin on with their lives, as we should be.

Can we assume the new script has just been issued?
