Photoshoot for the Sussex Children?

I actually hope this isn't true. It's one thing I've always admired of the Sussexes, that they have (generally) protected their children's privacy very effectively.

I hope its not related to the new commercial venture.

EDEN CONFIDENTIAL: Meghan Markle has photoshoot of Archie and Lilibet

EDEN CONFIDENTIAL: The photo-shoot, at Prince Harry and Meghan's mansion in Montecito, coincided with the launch of Meghan's lifestyle and cookery brand, American Riviera Orchard.

Strange comment.

I have barely commented on all of this except to say the comms from KP was poor and to wish Kate well in every which way possible

Comms from KP is William and Kate as principals making decisions about what they want publicised about a deeply personal and potentially tragic situation. What part of that don't you understand? Or is it that you need to bang on about comms to assuage your own guilt about going after an ill woman and her husband who is under immense stress?

AliceOlive · 23/03/2024 20:35

She knows.

StickyWickets · 23/03/2024 20:36

Of course. Egg on the face is not an easy thing to wash off

smilesy · 23/03/2024 20:40

Also, with hindsight, it’s easy to see why the “comms” may not have been at the top of their game. I’ve said elsewhere that they have never faced a situation like this before and just maybe slick PR and effective comms were not uppermost in everyone’s minds

That I didn't do. But you don't care do you.
You're just into attacking other posters
That much is obvious

I don't give two hoots what she looks like.

Now that I agree with.
It was sadly lacking

You are fully aware it was never “deemed fake”.

It remains to be seen about the reaching out.

I expect the photograph had at least a genuine intention behind it.

So you see why it’s possible to have some sympathy for them?

I have had enormous sympathy for Kate and have posted saying this many a time. To be ill when you have young children is really hard.

That is a matter of opinion and one we most certainly do not share.

Are you sure about that? Are you sure that many many times on this board, you haven't called Catherine and William lazy, even recently since Catherine's sick leave was announced? Are you sure you haven't attacked their "comms" when the fact is, you are attacking their decision making? Are you sure you didn't join in with all the guff about missing wedding rings and the like? Sure about that?

I realise that you do and you have, but what I meant was , isn’t it also possible to have some sympathy over the comms mis steps given the circumstances? And that the photo was never intended to deceive?

Edited

Find me one post about wedding rings, affairs or any other sordid stuff like that.

Stop accusing me of something I did not do.

I was right. You enjoy attacking other posters and making up falsities, you have an agenda.

I'll end the conversation here because I can see what you are doing and I don't want a part of it.

Interesting. Are you a member of Sussex Squad? They keep talking about KP Comms too

BemusedAmerican · 23/03/2024 21:24

Two major news companies canceled their AP contracts. One as of the 25th. They will be getting their own photos. It will be interesting to see what they disapprove versus AP.

themessygarden · 23/03/2024 21:34

I can't believe a photo of a mother and her three children, one of the most famous and recognised families in the world, and who all looked like themselves in said photo, which was photoshopped, edited, touched up or whatever, is being compared to something coming out of North Korea.

😱total insanity.

Indeed.

@BemusedAmerican would like to read that but it's behind a paywall.

Vespanest · 23/03/2024 21:36

Harry’s biggest failure in the PR is even after the books, interviews, documentaries he still wants a relationship with the royals and one of the biggest hurdles is the people he’s associated with along the way and the supporters who are there for the ride of insults. For all the racist, bullying, accusations, Harry has lost control, no matter how much he wants to draw a line in the sand, many of those who support will not back down, they don’t care Harry loves his family, his words. Apparently everything Harry says is the truth for many of his admirers, except when he wants to reconcile. The trolls that abuse Harry and Meghan have nothing to lose, it’s just a game. The treatment of Kate just increases the turf war and peoples stances and keeps Harry further away from his father and brother.
