Photoshoot for the Sussex Children?

MrsFinkelstein · 21/03/2024 16:03

I actually hope this isn't true. It's one thing I've always admired of the Sussexes, that they have (generally) protected their children's privacy very effectively.

I hope its not related to the new commercial venture.

EDEN CONFIDENTIAL: Meghan Markle has photoshoot of Archie and Lilibet

EDEN CONFIDENTIAL: The photo-shoot, at Prince Harry and Meghan's mansion in Montecito, coincided with the launch of Meghan's lifestyle and cookery brand, American Riviera Orchard.

This should be the time where you do get support from your family but when you have to consider everything you say and do because it may be repeated on Oprah or written about in Spare 2 it's another stress that you wouldn't need

Off you fuck would be my response

Interesting you don’t see any of the people online whinging about “KP” PR critiquing this shit show.

This doesn't hold the same wider ramifications as what that fake photo does. We are moving into an era where there is plenty of misinformation, AI created images that do not portray reality. We have to trust the media to use images that aren't faked to the point it's not what really happened otherwise it's propaganda.

So yes I've been incredibly critical of that whole incident because it crosses a line that should never be crossed.

I don't care two hoots about their family problems the impact of then reaching out is only good for bottom gutter press and people who love to gossip it doesn't break the trust of information we should have by institutions, governments and countries.

AliceOlive · 23/03/2024 19:24

I don’t want to put words your mouth but sounds like you agree H&M are feeding the “bottom gutter press”. If so, I respect that.

Is it just photographs that cross a line, not BS in books, interviews and documentaries. Like using video footage and photographs used in a Netflix documentary that had nothing to do with the contents

No what I'm saying is what they do e.g. if theyvreahco ut to their family is not that big a deal to critics it doesn't have the same level of impact if we start allowing fake images to be used in official capacity.

Imagine having doctored fake images of the atrocities of war being put out there to make people believe a country had killed and maimed children but it never really happened. That's propaganda and thats how serious it is and why the image was issued a kill notice to uphold a level of standard. Otherwise it's a slippery slope isn't it enough that we went to war ona pack of lies about wmd.

BemusedAmerican · 23/03/2024 19:45

Harry's hair is also photoshopped in lots of photos. 😆

What theory I am talking about? They out out a photo that the press agencies and respected ones at that issued a kill notice because tmit was deemed fake. And I've explained why it's serious because it's akin to propaganda like countries in north Korea who only out out images and news to control their people, feeding them lies. Do you want that, seriously?

So yeah I'm critical of the way it was handled. It is shameful to try to decive the public lci. Boris tried to, he lied and he lost his job because noone found it acceptable to lie to the public.

You are fully aware it was never “deemed fake”.

I can’t even with the North Korea comment.

Yes

Piers Morgan lost his job as editor of the Daily mirror for putting on the front page fake pictures of Iraqi prisoners of war being tortured by British soldiers.
It was a massive incident, the photographs were staged.
How that man still has a job with what he has done over the years...

Who cares if a spot is rubbed out, or more hair for Harry but the pic was more than smoothing out it seems

Salemforcuddles · 23/03/2024 20:10

Are people really still harping on about this photo? 🧐

musthorse · 23/03/2024 20:10

It's not strange that Piers Morgan still has a job as there are many who love to speculate and salivate over the downfalls of others. That has been shown out there as well as on MN. These people thrive because shitlizards suck it all up and spew it back out mixed with the last load of shit they swallowed.

Maybe we should be asking what the intent behind the picture was. Was it meant to “deceive” in some way, or was it just meant as a Mother’s Day picture, originally posted on instagram, by a mother who wanted to post something nice because she was in a shit place and wanted to feel better? I don’t know. but I highly doubt it was meant to deceive or be propaganda. What deception or propaganda did it achieve? If you think it’s ok for Harry to add hair or someone to remove a spot, what’s wrong with Catherine wanting to show her and her children in their best light? I don’t believe anyone had said the photo was faked, just photoshopped. And I don’t think it was meant to be “news”, it was just that the agencies treated it that way

I have barely commented on all of this except to say the comms from KP was poor and to wish Kate well in every which way possible

You might want to look at all the analysis of the Sussexes' photo output before casting aspersions on the RF.

Absolutely this. I do wonder how many are still up in arms about the photo because they wanted to prove that Catherine looks like shit now (off the back of the papped car photo), and the reality is she clearly doesn't, and they are disappointed.
