I actually hope this isn't true. It's one thing I've always admired of the Sussexes, that they have (generally) protected their children's privacy very effectively.

I hope its not related to the new commercial venture.

Sometimes I feel some would feel a lot better if they just removed the need to wallow.

It is almost as though they love the shite.

Private citizens living in the republican USA have no need to use titles and trade off them, let alone demand to be called by their titles. There is zero reason why a strong, independent, feminist woman who found fame in acting and who was with the RF for the blink of an eye to continue to use her royal title. There is no reason for a man who rejects the constraints he says he endured as a royal to continue to use his title. There is no reason for these people to confer titles on their children who are growing up in the republican USA, and whom they want to protect from "the Firm" and the media attention being a titled royal brings. Unless they love their titles, there is no other logical explanation for their continuing to use them.

Kate announces that she has cancer. You know Kate? The greatest asset to the RF, according to the MN royalists. But, yet, the subject of discussion is … er …Harry and Meghan. Again! I wonder what it would take to remove this royal couple from the conscious minds of some. Distance, silence, even bank holidays, doesn’t seem to work. Smh.

Going forward, dumping the negativity of those they have representing them would serve them well.

The old sayings of ‘you are the company you keep’ or ‘birds of a feather flock together’ hold true mostly.

I don’t know who is responsible for perpetuating the negativity but with most things toxic, it is wise to step away.

The brand which once held so much promise is being sullied. And much more of that will damage them irreparably.

No one wants that.

But maybe now would be the time to step back, regroup, try to disassociate from the nastiness. Build on the brand with so much promise that was once in their hands.

so a short statement really is making it about themselves? they would have been inundated with requests for comment. It's almost like you all want this family to be in turmoil and estranged. I think some of you enjoy the soap opera and don't want any reconciliations at all. How sad.

Maybe a sort of gentle distancing might work, but any obvious "dropping" could easily bring results they may not welcome

I do understand them sending a message. It is a shame they haven’t been so forthcoming with a message of support during the furore with the photograph.

It isn’t as though the pair of them haven’t been tickled by photoshop.

As such, any message just in times of sadness/illness may well come across as for their benefit.

That may be down to them or those advising them. But if you aren’t there when the world and his mother stands against someone, don’t be showing up when the world and his mother is showing support.

As folk keep saying, it is about optics.

And sometimes those are not favourable.

I suspect they don’t even have a phone number for W&K at this stage.

We've all heard repeatedly how Meghan received no support when she discussed her MH issues. Harry even dragged her out to a public event.
Oddly, when Prince William did not attend his godfather' s funeral, he was vilified in SM and the press. Some MN posters suggested that he had legit reasons for not attending but were drowned out by the nastiness. It has been interesting to me to watch how people are trying to erase recent history.

Please stop saying what anyone outside your own head wants or thinks.
