TMZ Producer says it ‘might not’ be Kate!

So after days of so many of us saying it is not Catherine, and being screamed at, shut down and called ‘crazies’ and ‘trolls’ and all kinds of offensive names. It turns out we were right after all. It does not appear to be Cathrrine (no shock there for many of us) According to the producer that beamed this out across the world. Clearly unverified. Incredible that the news outlets just went along with it - no questions asked. What does that say about the quality of our journalism?

It was a huge gas lighting exercise.

So now we know we have one fake Mother’s Day photo and now one fake farm shop footage - it begs the question in a much more pressing way - where is Catherine? The stupid memes have to stop. This isn’t funny or anything to joke about.

No one can verify even a single shot ( I am discounting the photo of Pippa in the car with Carole, and someone’s head in the car turned away in windsor)

I don’t believe we are going to see Catherine this Easter or at any time soon. I don’t know where she is, or what has happened to her but I feel extremely worried for her.

I await Kensington Palace’s statement - it’s about time we learnt the truth. How can it be any worse than what has been speculated?

What will happen next? As this can not continue any longer.

Kate Middleton farm shop video 'isn't her' claims TMZ producer who bought clip

I thought the Korean's visit was when the PPoW had that cute side hug?

By nature 'rumours' are speculative, even 'London rumours', whatever they are. So they can't 'confirm' anything.

And most married couples travel separately sometimes. That doesn't mean they're separated.

Are we really meant to believe that your 'concern' isn't masking a very obvious agenda?

Edited

I really don’t have an agenda. Goodness me. I have no idea what is happening with Kate. I simply do not believe she was at the farm shop. I don’t believe she was in the car in Windsor (both shots) and I definitely don’t believe the fake photo on MD.

If I was forced to speculate - I would go with a breakdown. Her surgery may well have been needed for a reason linked to that. A combination of marriage issues, pressure of the role, loss of the Queen and fall out with Harry would take its toll on anyone. I don’t know anything more than you do. If it’s that she will need much longer than three months to recover. She may never fully recover.

Noone is 'forcing' you to speculate at all, however.

Yet you are doing so quite cheerfully.

I wonder how all those saying it's not her on the video would react if CCTV from inside the store itself was leaked showing it definitely was?

Probably say, "Oh right. I was wrong, it was her then" and then get on with my day Confused

myrtleWilson · 21/03/2024 15:01

How do "the London rumours" work - do you get told them the moment you travel into London? Is it an extension of the London weighting for salaries "£40k nation wide, £45k London Weighting plus access to London Rumours"

If I felt forced to speculate I would believe I was having a breakdown.

I’m not sure any of us are going to recover.

Ok - last comment, then I’m off (and sorry for dragging things off topic)

But I didn’t realise Kate’s fingers were so badly damaged. The “trampolining injury” was reportedly sustained in the second week of September, and her fingers were still taped up in the second week of December?? Her right hand injured for three months. I mean, dressing must have been painful, and eating difficult. How do you put a bra on with your right hand taped up?

Poor woman. Whatever’s going on. 🌸

I feel so sorry for them all. And I wish them all freedom from this obsolete circus. But there’s no excuse for domestic violence.

ok, bye!

Just looking at photos from that visit.

😂

I guess it's just people who move in similar social circles. Although I do as well, arguably: my folks vaguely vaguely know the Middletons from years back and my folks have a mutual friend with Charles (my folks are NOT friends with the king, they've never even met him, it's just a mutual!)

It's just being part of similar circles over the years, Venn diagrams of people and places, and paths crossing occasionally. But I'm here, committed Republican, commenting away and completely in the bloody dark Grin

How can you tell what someone is thinking or feeling from a photo? I have just unearthed some old photos of me on holiday with family and I look like Damien from the Omen - oh wait I am !

diddl · 21/03/2024 15:19

I definitely don’t believe the fake photo on MD.

Why-what did it tell you?

Tight social circles based in London (and Gloucestershire)

I once had someone tell me they knew exactly what I was thinking in that moment, based on my face. She was scary, actually, but way off base.

This is an interesting quote about people who worry, gossip and spread false news. Anomie is indeed an appropriate word.

Stephan Lewandowsky, professor of cognitive psychology at the University of Bristol, whose research centres on the spread of myths and misinformation, says: “One of the issues is that you then get into feedback loops, where the fact that a lot of people believe it then gives other people reason to believe things. And then all of a sudden, just because everybody else is believing it, people will say, there has to be some truth to that because my neighbour believes it. It feeds on itself.

It feels like you’re in a movie, with you as the investigator. That sleuthing element – ooh could they or couldn’t they? That’s kind of exciting … And in the context of economic inequality, which can breed anomie, the idea of societies crumbling – it all feels that this is possible.”

myrtleWilson · 21/03/2024 15:27

@LittleGlowingOblong her fingers weren't taped up all of that time.

Mirabai · 21/03/2024 15:29

I’m not convinced there’s strong evidence their marriage isn’t ok, but I do wonder if she’s had some kind of breakdown. The interest for me in this story though is the palace-media interface.

It does. That happened with covid, and with Kate. And I am sure other examples I can not think of immediately. Jimmy Saville in plain sight.

Unlike with US libel laws, truth is not a defense for denying gossip.

The TMZ trailer seemed to be demonising Kate and painting her as the one in control which is an odd take on the situation (as we know it)

@Severalwhippets Kate might be another one ?
