So after days of so many of us saying it is not Catherine, and being screamed at, shut down and called ‘crazies’ and ‘trolls’ and all kinds of offensive names. It turns out we were right after all. It does not appear to be Cathrrine (no shock there for many of us) According to the producer that beamed this out across the world. Clearly unverified. Incredible that the news outlets just went along with it - no questions asked. What does that say about the quality of our journalism?

It was a huge gas lighting exercise.

So now we know we have one fake Mother’s Day photo and now one fake farm shop footage - it begs the question in a much more pressing way - where is Catherine? The stupid memes have to stop. This isn’t funny or anything to joke about.

No one can verify even a single shot ( I am discounting the photo of Pippa in the car with Carole, and someone’s head in the car turned away in windsor)

I don’t believe we are going to see Catherine this Easter or at any time soon. I don’t know where she is, or what has happened to her but I feel extremely worried for her.

I await Kensington Palace’s statement - it’s about time we learnt the truth. How can it be any worse than what has been speculated?

What will happen next? As this can not continue any longer.

OP Kensington Palace said that she would return after Easter. You are clearly heavily invested and concerned about the PoW so, for your own sake and hers, just don't expect to see her out hunting for Easter eggs next weekend. "After Easter" could mean anytime.

OP, I can’t comment on photo theories etc, but I can help you with your question ‘where is Kate’: She had abdominal surgery in early January and is now recovering at home. Expected to be back at work after Easter.

I think this is all getting silly now. I'm not a monarchist and thought the Mother's Day photo fiasco was weird (as was Kate not wearing her wedding ring). I believe that shit goes on, as with every family up and down the country. And I believe there may be some truth in the affair rumours. Plenty of normal men with beautiful wives behave in exactly the same way, so why not our beloved Wills?

But the frenzy accompanying all of this has taken quite a dark and sinister turn. Some people are questioning absolutely everything. Sure, stranger things have happened in the world with body doubles etc but most often the simplest explanation is correct. She's had surgery and is recovering. We knew this and we knew she wasn't expected to be back until around Easter. She may well be having some marriage problems too. But whatever it is, whatever is going on with her/ them, they believe it's a private matter while they work through it.

But she's not dead, not in a coma and not being held against her will in the Tower of London dungeons, or under house arrest with an ankle tag! The truth is, 99% of the time, more mundane than that. At some point she'll re-emerge and either continue as normal or there will be an announcement. But either way, this constant speculation about a woman the vast majority of us have never met is just weird. I also agree that people have learned nothing from Diana. History repeating itself?

These threads remind me of the One Direction madness. Not sure on exact details, I think some people were convinced that Harry Styles and one of the other ones were secretly gay and in a relationship with one another, but for unknown reasons in these enlightened times, they "couldn't" reveal this. They'd analyse videos for an example of one of them looking at the other and go on for pages and pages about what it "meant".

OK let's run with the "it was a random couple shopping" theory.

Now this footage has been everywhere for the last few days. Unless you've been living under a rock, you'll have seen it. So why hasn't this "random couple" come forward and said hang on, that's not Kate and William, it's me and Dave picking up steaks for dinner. Or any of the friends/relatives of the random couple approaching the Sun, or another international news outlet to give their story - they would earn ££££ for doing so.

What the OP is really trying to get at is that it's a set-up, that "they" have constructed an elaborate hoax to get two randomers to act as Kate and William, set up the trip to the shop, set up the guy with the phone to film it all to sell to the press to divert attention. Because that fits with the conspiracy that Kate is dead/in a coma.

I had an op this week (nothing as serious) and I'm so glad I can rest and not be scrutinised. I'm not PoW though!

But the Palace didn’t release that footage. A member of the public took it and sold it-it is nothing to do with the Palace as to whether the video is fake or not🤷‍♀️

And @Rosscameasdoody you are 100% right about the parallels with Diana and esp your point about it being mainstream media and social media now. Mainstream media did enough damage as it was. If I was Kate's parents I would be beside myself with worry for her about how this pans out.

How about considering how you'd feel if you were expected to have your private medical issues shared with the world? Trying to manage the information you gave to your children while trying to aviod them being exposed to mad rumours? Worrying that children at school will repeat wild rumours to them that they've heard from their parents. Then you finally get out, get video'd and the attacks go on. You wouldn't even want to get out of bed in the morning, let alone go back to the farm shop.

Same here ex rang the school to ask if I was taking the children in had they seen me he "heard" I was "drinking again" (nice implication there) etc etc the teacher used to try to discreetly smell my breath in the mornings sit as close as possible when I was in doing parent workshops etc I laughed when I found out because I'm virtually tea total and he knows it (occasionally have a glass at new year or at weddings) the school were confused that I was presenting as a busy parent of three not a drunken lush like he was painting me out to be 😂 I can laugh now but at the time I was devastated
