Do not read or comment if you aren't interested!

Shamefully starting a new Kate related thread for the fellow people like me who are so far down the rabbit hole they need to talk it out with fellow tin foil hat wearers 🤙
I want to know.. what do you think?
Where is she?
The wild theories?
Will she make the Easter Day service?
What the hell is going on over at KP?

I think she's seriously ill and will be stepping back soon.

I've got popcorn and I've got alllllll night, let's dissect.

Why on earth would it? "I was sick, now I'm better" - perfectly reasonable.

Erm I think there is a bit more to it than that 😂😂

Missingprincess · 15/03/2024 18:38

@Severalwhippets especially with today's revelations that senior staff haven't seen her at all & didn't even know she was having surgery even though BP said the surgery was planned 🤔

Yep, I think so too
It will all come out soon enough

KP. And there's no inconsistency there. William tells them she needs/needed surgery at short notice, most staff not to be told the details.

How, after all this time do people not get that 'planned' includes 'planned at very short notice but isn't emergency, straight through to the operating table scenario'

SaveHedgeHogs · 15/03/2024 18:44

Severalwhippets · 15/03/2024 18:13

Easter glam is going to land very badly after this fiasco if it’s not accompanied by some credible explanation.

Anything and everything is going to land 'very badly' with you lot, more frothing, more hissing, more fish wife irrelevance.

I very much doubt they will be releasing any more photos in the near future, if ever.

Then they will slip into total irrelevance.

Oh come on, we do understand the difference between planned and emergency surgery.

"Planned" surgery suggests to me that a person goes to see a specialist about something or other, and said Doc says "OK, we can fit you in for that procedure in four weeks time, how does that suit you?" Or maybe four YEARS time on the NHS. 😉

Did anyone else think like I did?

Planned just means she wasn't rushed to surgery as an emergency. Given the cancelled engagements, it was clearly planned at short notice and needed fairly urgently.

theDudesmummy · 15/03/2024 19:22

Planned surgery can really just mean planned for a few hours time.

theDudesmummy · 15/03/2024 19:25

It can literally mean that the surgeon and anaesthetist have had time to see the patient before they got to theatre, and/or that it is not the emergency on-call surgeon and anaesthetist doing the procedure.

Quite a lot of people apparently, most of whom are sticking their fingers in their ears when it’s been repeatedly explained.

By revelations you mean an anonymous source to US Weekly - a celebrity gossip mag in the USA which is on the level of the National Enquirer in terms of journalist knowledge and experience.

You think US weekly has the sort of exclusive access to genuine royal sources that the rest of the worlds press do not have?

In fairness, that's what Private Eye is saying too, which gives the idea some credence. It explains the general incompetence of the pr side of things too.

That’s interesting- I’m in the US so can’t read a copy and the stories don’t seem to be online - do you have the physical copy? I’d be interested in a photo of the wording they use to describe the KP team being in the dark.

No but it's been pasted on MN a few times, you might be able to find it by searching (or maybe googling since the MN search function is so rubbish).

Yeah I don’t have the bandwidth for the MN search function.

AfterTheWatershed · 15/03/2024 20:52

I don’t think this has anything to do with plastic surgery/divorce. We were told that she has had abdominal surgery and I believe that this is the truth. BUT there is obviously more to it than that, the photo incident was just bizarre. She must be very ill and feels that it is something that she cannot talk about/admit to. Just google a list of complications from long term eating disorders. I feel sorry for her, I also hope that she is getting support for her mental health. Especially after the way that Meghan’s mental health issues were dismissed by the palace.

Calliopespa · 15/03/2024 20:57

To be fair, they haven’t actually stated the “ abdominal” issues aren’t from an eating disorder. They have just said abdominal surgery, not bad any comment about why she needed it or what brought it on.

I think she needs time to recuperate without scrutiny.

EsmaCannonball · 15/03/2024 21:01

I'm willing to believe that William would have an affair (or affairs), I'm willing to believe that Kate would divorce him. What I am not willing to believe is the way Kensington Palace would deal with all this is by announcing that Kate is having abdominal surgery and won't be seen for a few weeks. That would be just insane. I think she is just ill, doesn't want to be seen until she feels and looks better, and that we've become far too used to celebrities who take selfies from their hospital beds or live-tweet their visit to A&E.
