Kate in car with face turned away

Sadly I've become too interested in Picturegate than is good for the level of hygiene in my household.
But ... that image of Kate turning away has stuck in my mind and is exercising me more than the Mothers Day photo.
If she was going to an appointment surely she'd be in a car with dark windows and not hitching a ride in a car n going somewhere else ?
She clearly did not want her face to be seen.
So she's being forced to do something against her will.
Which now makes me think differently about Harry and Meghan.
Any thoughts ?

You would want William to leave? So then who would be next in line? His son. thats not going to work, is it. This is part of the point for some people who want a republic, its desperately unfair on the people born into it- especially those meant to be Monarch. They would find it almost impossible to leave, and timing is everything. William has left it too late, he would leave the burden to his son.

You haven’t read my posts properly, I said an end to the monarchy, that means William not being King or anyone else, now or in the future . As much as I like having a monarchy I just don’t think it can continue, being King/Queen has always been described as a burden, well we can times that burden by a thousand now with the mainstream media and social media, these past weeks prove that, there is only so much a family can take. The republicans will be happy, everyone can have their £1.50 or whatever it is a year back or happily fund a President. For me personally I think it will be a massive loss to this country, huge, but I would fully understand it happening now.

Onand · 14/03/2024 14:18

One thing about that picture is how she doesn’t look very ‘off duty’ for an appointment when you compare it to the one with her mum a few days prior. Very strange picture indeed.

My thoughts are you should get a life. @amberedover1

What a ridiculous thread.

The photo with Carole Middleton was supposedly on the school run, and there's an understanding between the press and the royals that no photos are to be taken there, and if any are taken by paps, they are not published in the British press.

The recent one was of William going to an official event, the Commonwealth Service, and it's fairly common for royals to be photographed on their way to such events. So that in itself is not strange. Why Kate was in the car, without blacked out windows, is interesting however. She didn't attend the Commonwealth event, and it's not like royals are like normal folks, with the wife having to be drooped off to her doctor's appointment on husband's way to work.

So I'm guessing it was 'arranged' to some degree at least. But for what purpose?

It’s possible that as the current “world’s most stalked woman”, in the aftermath of major surgery – which is shocking for most people – she’s feeling fragile and wants the support of her husband when venturing out into the world, rather than being alone? The only other photo is of her with her mother, so ditto.

Poor health and a long hospital stay can do a number on you, psychologically. And the royals as a firm aren’t exactly gentle with people’s MH. I’d be off my tits with anxiety at this point, and wouldn’t want to get in a car outside the confines of the palace without family either.

Perhaps.

But given that she clearly doesn't want to be seen in public, which is fine, why didn't they arrange for a car with fully blacked out windows? Surely the royals have several at their disposal? William was going to an official, prearranged event at Westminster Abbey, so they must have known there was a good chance photographers would be waiting.

She's managed not to be seen, expect for that photo with Carole, for nearly 3 months. So why now?

Clearly to let everyone know she was alive.

@Wintersgirl i think Kate was doing something she didn't want to do .I agree using words like 'forced' and 'against her will' is putting it too strongly.

I agree, I think she did it as she felt she had to, as a response to the pic and the rumours/speculation. If anyone made her do it, it’s the twats saying she’s dead.

I think that is called looking out the side window. Good grief.

areyoutheregod · 14/03/2024 15:08

@BigWillyLittleTodger ah I see, well fair enough, it can't be much of a life in many ways.

BenefitWaffle · 14/03/2024 15:09

@chrisfromcardiff at a brick wall.

TheMurderousGoose · 14/03/2024 15:13

Some people seem to be saying the looking out the window photo isn't quite legit either and that it's actually from last Christmas.

(apols if this has already been mentioned multiple times)

Lots of these posts read like the meme of that dog surrounded by fire saying “this is fine”!

This is an absolute PR clusterfuck. That part is unarguable- it is a slow motion 4k video of a Bentley crashing into a dumpster fire. People who normally have zero interest in the Royal Family are finding themselves sucked in by the relentless gravitational pull of this 24 Karat PR fuckwittery.

It is now ludicrous to sit there tutting about the madness of crowds, or condemning the gossip. The world now can’t help but stop and stare open mouthed at the sheer spectacle of the “whoops I’ve shot myself in the head” incompetence of it all.

I agree with this. And after being given quite in depth information about the relationship between the press and the RF by Prince Harry it is fascinating to see it all in action.

It sucks for Kate, she has well and truly been thrown under the bus.

Those who dislike discourse can always back to Twitter or Celebitchy where they can wallow in their spite and speculation unhindered… <shrugs>

DaBlackCatsAreDaBestCats · 14/03/2024 17:33

To be honest, although I’ve always found the Royal family quite fascinating if nothing had been mentioned in the first place about PoW not been seen out and about I wouldn’t have noticed she’d gone AWOL. Of course now I’m on board with the intrigue

But why are you posting so much when you're also feigning disapproval of the thread? How many times have you posted on this thread alone to chastise other people for...posting on this thread? Most odd. If you truly dislike the current speculation surely you'd simply ignore it. Yet here you are.

ChanelNo19EDT · 14/03/2024 17:40

I don't think there is any plan to portray her as unstable. The Palace made ONE statement. She'll reappear after Easter. Not much "material" there for a smear campaign. I think the photo thing was just a slip up. I dont read anything into that. Only journalists think it big deal.

Hey, you do realise that anyone who wants an echo chamber for their spite and slander is welcome to go elsewhere 😊 there are lots of comfortable cesspits for that sort of thing on the web.

But why be so unsettled by differing views? Seems some posters don’t just feel entitled to spread vicious rumours, they expect to be able to do so unopposed…

BTW, exactly how many times have I posted on this thread ? 6? 8? Far less than many others I suspect, but unlike you I haven’t been keeping track. 😁
