Imagine using the victims of a school shooting for attention and PR. There seem to be no depths to which this pair will not sink

Meghan and Harry sing happy birthday to school shooting victim family

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle make a surprise visit to Uvalde, Texas, to support the family of Irma Garcia, a teacher killed in the 2022 school shooting.

How long has it been since they 'trashed the rf'? I haven't seen any trashing lately? If u r talking about his book hasn't it been almost a year since it was published so since then nothing that I can see.

Gosh, I wonder who it could possibly be that told Omid Scobie that it was Charles and Kate who were the “royal racists” and that Charles wrote Meghan a personal letter to try and explain himself….?

MsKirby

Get a grip. How do you expect them to make money? Are you happy for your taxpayer money to fund them? If not, mind your business and follow the royals you like.

But they don't need to make money. Harry has millions from various inheritances, far more than any of us could dream of obtaining in a lifetime through actual hard work. They're hardly on the breadline!

They could disappear and live a comfortable private existence for the rest of their lives, but they don't want to.

Even those millions won't last long on the lifestyle they clearly expect, and anyway didn't Harry say he wanted to hang onto them for the children?

It's true they had enough for a lifetime if they'd lived more modestly, but I can't imagine that would appeal to either and if the lifestyle goes I wouldn't expect Meghan to be far behind it - unless Harry has something else to offer which has never been apparent to most of us?

Which they didn’t deny. So I assume Scobie got any info or green light from the Sussexes themselves.

Serenster · 08/05/2024 10:11

They also didn’t say a thing publicly about the Sussex Squad, Omid, or Christopher Bouzy (who they openly work with, in the latter case) when they were leading the charge on attacking William and Kate earlier this year, despite (checks notes) saying on the SXSW panel in March that social media platforms have “ quite a bit of hate and rhetoric and incentivises people to create pages where they can churn out very, very inciting comments and conspiracy theories that can have a tremendous impact on someone’s mental health, on their physical safety. We have a responsibility….why are you choosing to put that out in the world?

And people here fretting about how he is running out of money and needs to make money and he is spending it all...they have no clue just making it up and assuming cos it's another way to keep being negative

He could live off it comfortably, but for some reason it would appear that he can't. I think the pp's comparison with lottery winners is apt - they buy the unnecessarily big mansion, the fleet of cars, etc, but it's the running costs and staff costs they don't sufficiently factor in at the start. They end up in a Mr Micawber situation of mismatched wealth and outgoings, revealing flaw after flaw, and one day something doesn't 'turn up'. I think Harry is at the tipping point this year, as he turns 40.

But now that Harry has started out grandiose, can he slim it down to manageable proportions? He'd still be living a privileged lifestyle.

Serenster · 08/05/2024 10:26

Another point that’s bugging me about the Nigeria trip. It’s a private visit, focussed on Invictus - Harry’s project, not Meghan’s.

Way back in 2018 one of Meghan’s management team, Gina Nelthorpe-Cowne gave various outlets comments about how Prince Harry’s then fiancée had never shied away from acting in a way she believes is morally correct. Among the examples given was the fact that Gina had arranged for Meghan to stay in the Dorchester for her first trip to London.

Meghan had however refused. She emailed to say that she would never stay at the Dorchester or any other hotel the Sultan of Brunei’s family owned because of her immense disapproval of Brunei’s stance on homosexuality and women’s abortion rights.

Fast forward to 2024 and Meghan is choosing to accompany her husband on his private visit to Nigeria, a country where homosexuality by both women and men is a crime punishable by up to 16 years in prison and some 12 northern states apply death by stoning to homosexual couples under Shari’a law. The Nigerian criminal code also includes providing or obtaining a miscarriage as a criminal offence for both the woman and the provider.

Good to know what will make Meghan shy away from her principles though: an Invictus press junket.

How long has it been since they 'trashed the rf'?

Undermining The British Government and his father with the First Nations people in February.

That little stunt they pulled with PM, Andrew Holdness in Jamaica earlier this year, and having the twat Scobie tweet about it, comparing this riseable "event" with Catherine and William's tour (which in itself the SS did its best to undermine). Why doesn't the Jamaican PM have the balls to to run his referendum instead of playing these pathetic games?

Harry's continuing battle against RAVEC, an attempt to undermine the British government and paint the UK, for which his father is head of state, as some sort of unsafe country.

The SS, whom they give thanks to, whose most high profile member is their friend, Christopher Bouzy, crucifying Catherine and William over social media for weeks. With not a word said by the online bullying hypocrites Harry and Meghan. Not a word about what was being said in their name.

The fucking jam! Claiming that Highgrove jam uses something other than their own produce. Why make this claim? Why say anything at all. Concentrate on your own jam.

There's barely a move these people and their representatives make that isn't a dig or an outright attack at the UK and the RF. And please don't try to argue that Scobie and the SS don't represent the Sussexes. Nobody buys it.

Puzzledandpissedoff · 08/05/2024 11:49

Why doesn't the Jamaican PM have the balls to to run his referendum instead of playing these pathetic games?

Perhaps he's not entirely convinced of getting the result he wants?

Either way I'm sick of hearing the whining; it's their decision to make so just go for it - only be prepared for the outcome to perhaps be a surprise

BemusedAmerican · 08/05/2024 12:31

The Spotify executive accused Harry and Meghan of being workshy to the world. That is also their problem with Netflix. The Betterup employees have complained that Harry does no work. And can anyone tell me what Travalyst actually does? Then there's Archewell. Lots of talking, no results.

Isn’t it strange how some posters don’t like other posters bringing up H and M’s antics from 1,2, 3 etc years ago but posters drag up the 1990s interviews by Diana, Charles and Sarah ? Also , Andrew hasn’t done an interview for years yet we get the what-about- Andrew regularly?

Vespanest · 08/05/2024 13:15

Harry had the perfect opportunity to show he has stopped talking to the press after visiting Charles in his transatlantic dash, he couldn’t manage a couple of weeks, and to make it worse he included William just for good measure. Its not 4 years, its not even 4 months.

I hope they both go to Nigeria because it will get on some people's nerves to the point of explosion. How dare they not come to England but go to Nigeria. Weired undertones, but I hope they do go just for the smirk 😏 😅 and to laugh at those posting.

I think you misunderstand. No one cares if they come here or not. What is nonsensical is claims of being “unsafe” in the UK yet being happy to travel to a country that has travel advisories against it

You hope they both go to an unsafe country ? A country that has been deemed unsafe by the U.K. and USA ? Leaving 2 small children on another continent?
Wow .

They are going - UK commissioner there's already had to give an interview that they aren't representing the UK in any during their visit but are private individuals .

https://pmnewsnigeria.com/2024/05/06/we-are-not-involved-in-prince-harry-meghan-visit-to-nigeria-british-high-commissioner/

Nigeria has travel warning for UK and USA citizens - I'm sure having been invited a the military they'll be well guarded - but having just sued the UK government moaning that case by case security like most member of RF get isn't enough for him - make him look hypocritical.

If they do cause any kind of diplomatic incidence the with implications for UK government - I'd expect their titles to under serious threat as a way to avoid problems going forward - so seriously doubt much will happen but few pic and lots of noise.

Now that is interesting to read. As is often the case people's principles often fly out the window when $$$$$ are involved .

ArcaneWireless · 08/05/2024 14:55

To go just for the smirk and to laugh at those posting?

Explosion? Is that to go with the outrage…?

Such an insightful post though.

Just forget the fact that they are two people who are intent on flipping a stiff one to everyone who doesn’t fall at their feet and who don’t appear to posses critical thinking, let alone common sense.

Have they considered for just a moment as to why they have been invited?

It may be for Invictus. Why not?

But why them?

And what happens if things go awry?

ArcaneWireless · 08/05/2024 15:00

And yes. As Serenster said, principles can so easily go out of the window when bucks and publicity are involved.

Seems principles are as disposable as her friends.

Who wants them to come here? I'm not aware of anyone feeling like that.

Charles, a sick man in his 70s whose son is estranged and who might wish to see his grandchildren, might on a personal level possibly wish for Harry and the children to come and see him and for the children to be in contact with their cousins. But in his role as monarch he knows he has to be very, very careful about any contact with Harry. Also, however Charles feels about his son, there are Camilla, William and Catherine to consider, all of whom have been attacked and hurt by Harry and Meghan. He probably feels his loyalty should rest with his non-prodigal son and his ill daughter-in-law.

i don't think even sentimental Charles ever wants to see Meghan again.

Puzzledandpissedoff · 08/05/2024 15:52

Not really, because as has been made clear by the Foreign Office they're representing nobody but themselves

Hopefully even they will avoid creating any real diplomatic incidents and hopefully they'll be kept safe, but beyond a few potential smiles at their inevitable gaucheries it really doesn't matter
