Are Harry, Meghan, Archie and Lili coming back home?

It would be nice to have them back and getting along with the rest of the family, what do people think? They'd have to apologise and try to move forward in a positive way. With Charles being unwell and elderly, and the Wales kids too young to serve as working royals, the Sussex's may be needed. Trump may win the election, which could have a negative impact on them and Archie will start school soon, a great time to relocate home?? Apparently Meghan is looking for PR agencies to help her improve her image. Would the Uk welcome them?

@Kjones27 Why the sweeping generalisations? Everyone in the uk doesn't like foreign people or mixed race people? All Americans are confident?

JSMill · 08/03/2024 21:37

Lol?? Do you know how the women involved felt about those insults? How did they perceive them?

Kjones27 · 08/03/2024 21:37

You think being a liar isn't that bad ?

Eh you can't just say someone is a liar, without even saying what you are talking about. What are you saying she lied about?

And no I don't think someone lying is that bad. Everyone lies.

But I don't know what you're talking about specifically. Can you give an example

Where did I say everyone in the UK doesn't like mixed race people.

I didn't.

I said meghan was abused for being mixed race.

Mainly by the British press.

She is elderly. She is late 70s not early 70s. Of course she is elderly.

Do you think some one who is nearly 80 is not elderly?

My mum is the exact same age as Camilla, and my mum walks with a walker, and she can't do a lot of things .

There's a lot of difference between elderly and very elderly, the latter would be 90's not 70's. Camilla is 76 isn't she? God I know people her age who ski and run marathons!

AliceOlive · 08/03/2024 21:39

Everyone lies. Speak for yourself dear.

LadyMuckonpancakes · 08/03/2024 21:39

I actually think her race was a big plus point. The issue was with the fact that she was a divorced actress.

I think the point is she doesn’t care. Their feelings don’t exist.

How anyone can deny the racism in the British press I do not know

America didn't think much of it

IMO the misogyny Meghan experienced was about the same as that endured by the other royal brides, but she had the added element of racism to contend with. There were some appalling articles, like those linked.

IIRC there was also some batshit nonsense about Kate's "common blood" adding darker colour to the RF, or something along those lines. Gutter journalists are fond of writing awful stuff about the married ins.

I don't see M&H coming back to live in the UK. Too much negative press, and the family situation will take a lot to sort out, especially given how Harry portrayed Kate, William and Camilla in his book. They seem happy in California, and I think have started to carve out a comfortable role there.

Maybe your mum can't do lots of things and walks with a walker, my mum is 91 in May and barely ever uses even a stick! Your mum is not representative of everyone in their mid 70's you must realise that surely?

Late 70s is of course elderly. Its nearly 80!

AliceOlive · 08/03/2024 21:42

My super confident, loud neighbor is turning 90 next month. She’s out doing things more often than anyone I know.

Salemforcuddles · 08/03/2024 21:42

She's not. But everyone else i know who is late 70s, also have low mobility issues or are in care homes.

Late 70s is not young.

@AliceOlive Pity dual citizens like me, it’s so difficult to fit into a stereotype. One of DD’s friends has three nationalities , she’s such a confused person. 🤣

She can be loud, confident, quiet and dislike herself all at once!

OliverTwisted · 08/03/2024 21:45

Kjones you seem very comfortable with stereotyping and making uneducated sweeping generalisations. Odd it offends you then when the gutter press does the same.

What the hell are you on about!

the average age of death for women in the UK is 83. Most people don't live longer than their early eighties.

There are huge numbers of people in nursing homes in their seventies.

Gottseidank · 08/03/2024 21:45

Of course, Kate has always been treated with courtesy by the media

Good! Because everything I have to say is extremely impressive and everyone should hear it. They taught me this in school.
