Are Harry, Meghan, Archie and Lili coming back home?

It would be nice to have them back and getting along with the rest of the family, what do people think? They'd have to apologise and try to move forward in a positive way. With Charles being unwell and elderly, and the Wales kids too young to serve as working royals, the Sussex's may be needed. Trump may win the election, which could have a negative impact on them and Archie will start school soon, a great time to relocate home?? Apparently Meghan is looking for PR agencies to help her improve her image. Would the Uk welcome them?

I actually think her race was a big plus point. The issue was with the fact that she was a divorced actress.

I actually think her race was a plus point too. The issue was Harry thought they could call the shots, they couldn't and it was all downhill from there.

Kjones you seem very comfortable with stereotyping and making uneducated sweeping generalisations. Odd it offends you then when the gutter press does the same.

But I haven't been racist!

The gutter press have.

I said the Americans i know are confident. I don't think that's a bad thing. Confidence is not negative

StormzyinaTCup · 08/03/2024 21:47

Good! Because everything I have to say is extremely impressive and everyone should hear it. They taught me this in school.

😁

There's a lot of difference between elderly and very elderly, the latter would be 90's not 70's. Camilla is 76 isn't she? God I know people her age who ski and run marathons!

Most people don't live to their 90s. The average age of death for women is early 80s.

Salemforcuddles · 08/03/2024 21:48

You haven't replied re accusing the whole of the uk of being racist

AliceOlive · 08/03/2024 21:39

Everyone lies. Speak for yourself dear.

You're saying you've never lied in your entire life. That's realistic.

oh when you stereotype people in their 70s and our American posters, it’s acceptable somehow?

IMO the misogyny Meghan experienced was about the same as that endured by the other royal brides, but she had the added element of racism to contend with. There were some appalling articles, like those linked.

IIRC there was also some batshit nonsense about Kate's "common blood" adding darker colour to the RF, or something along those lines. Gutter journalists are fond of writing awful stuff about the married ins.

I don't see M&H coming back to live in the UK. Too much negative press, and the family situation will take a lot to sort out, especially given how Harry portrayed Kate, William and Camilla in his book. They seem happy in California, and I think have started to carve out a comfortable role there.

That wasn't gutter journalism, that was liberal US network, CNN. And the person who said it was a doctor of Indian ancestry.

OliverTwisted · 08/03/2024 21:50

Kjones what country are you based in? Hope it’s not populated by racists only like the uk

NotMyPage · 08/03/2024 21:50

AliceOlive · 08/03/2024 21:28

Exactly the same sentiment - the idea that she gets to judge if another person’s experience was difficult or not, then mock them on Oprah.

If you do this to other women and then call yourself a feminist champion of women, expect some blowback.

Edited

What's so unkind about this is that she actually repeated the 'waity Katy' thing on TV for a whole new US audience, who probably had never heard about this. Knowing this was derogatory about Kate, she then went on to broadcast it. Unkind and calculated, especially knowing how these things can go viral. Now she is in the headlines again, talking at some event about how she was online bullied when she was pregnant with Archie and Lili. She sounds incredibly affected when she speaks, and, it's all always about her and her personal victimhood. Very strange. She is this confident successful, rich and extremely privileged woman, but she presents herself as a victim. Does that sort of 'poor rich girl' thing appeal to Americans audiences?

Arw you serious.

I didn't stereotype people in their 70s.

I wrote facts That can be proven.

Look them up.

I said "the average age of death for women in the UK is early 80".

And I also said "there are lots of people in their 70s in nursing homes"

Which one are you saying is wrong? And instead of just saying it's wrong. Show facts to back it up.

Salemforcuddles · 08/03/2024 21:52

It's people addressing the sweeping statements she has made , I think it's offensive to call the whole of the uk racist

Kjones27 · 08/03/2024 21:52

That should say "early 80's"

That's a lie. No one did that.

Why are you making up lies now?

OliverTwisted · 08/03/2024 21:54

seems to be a theme, posters make provocative statements, which are challenged, this is then construed as not appropriate

they clearly want the engagement hence they posted

Roussette · 08/03/2024 21:55

No. It was thoughts on certain people in the US and UK and she did not say every single person in those countries.
We are allowed to generalise on a forum
Like saying that Dutch men are tall. They are. It's a known fact. However that does not mean that every Dutch man is 6ft4
They arent

Salemforcuddles · 08/03/2024 21:55

@Kjones27 Perhaps you should reconsider who you are calling a liar

I’m not a good bellwether for that. I tried to watch it but couldn’t listen to the P&G story one more time.

She said " the uk"
