Photography hobbyists and aficionados unite.

Welcome to the thread where you can display and discuss some of the most iconic photos captured by some of the most talented photographers.

These aren't your average Instagram photos. Oh no. These are the ones that live in your head rent free. The Marie Kondo of photos that spark joy. Where everything in the photo is perfection.

This thread is meant to be fun, light-hearted, and showcase the talents of those behind the lens.

Please do not derail, and do not use this thread to be snarky or have a dig about subjects you don't like, or to other posters. If you cannot keep in the spirit of the thread, then please don't participate or spoil it for others.

Charles in his prime.

Haven’t come across this one before!

The one of Kate at the funeral is something else. Beautiful
My American friends were beside themselves with it!

This one of Princess Margaret is gobsmacking, it could've come from a fairytale. I will admit to not being very keen on her but that doesn't take away from the beauty of the picture

This one is beautiful, fairytale and Hollywood starlet vibes

I like this one of Charlotte and George because it gives an echo of Charles and Anne's relationship.

Final one from me for now: I love all the different shapes and angles in this one. The straight line of her hair parting, the asymmetry of the dress, and the arms cradling her bump. It's all lovely.

Sorry but that is a terrible photograph, nothing natural about it

CrispsandCheeseSandwich · 06/03/2024 19:38

This one where Sophie nearly fell over into Kate when standing up in a carriage at Ascot is good - she has such an expressive face sometimes

He reminds me of Roald Dahl now though

And this heartbreaking moment of a sibling being the one person who understands completely how you feel at your mother's funeral.

That's OK. It's all subjective. As I said, I like the shapes and lines of it.

Another one by Samir - perfectly catches Charles

I always thought this Norman Parkinson portrait of Princess Anne was impressive.

Wow, I wouldn't have guessed it was Princess Anne. She looks absolutely stunning.

Great idea for a thread OP.

Oh wordler

the thousand words of a picture that are entirely unnecessary to elaborate on there. 😔

Samcro · 06/03/2024 19:52

Just love this
maybe because I love the dress

I tend to prefer candid moments caught on camera.

A selection of some of my favourites from the Coronation.

Catherine was stunning.

I've tried to give photographer credit when I could find it.

Not particularly beautiful shots or anything, more just funny.
I've no idea what she'd done, but I like how she looks like she's maybe just smashed a window or something
