I seem to remember seeing a photograph in the Sunday Times years ago, of the late Queen sitting on some stairs in Buckingham Palace with the coronation crown on, laughing.

I think it might have been around the Golden Jubilee, when lots of behind the scenes photos were released.

I’ve searched everywhere online, but I can’t seem to find it. Did I dream it?

Princess Marina of Greece, Duchess of Kent, by Cecil Beaton,1937. Mother of the present Duke, Princess Alexandra and Prince Michael. A cousin of Prince Philip, and like him had Romanov connections. She was regarded as a beauty and style icon in her day, so had quite a lot of gamorous photoshoots.

Some very nice photos.

This thread is a handy way of trying to reintegrate Meghan. All these lovely images of all of the royal family and Meghan right among them, no us and them, and lots of positive messages.

Princess Alexandra was quite like her mother in many ways I think. Certainly around the eyes
