Gary on CBB last night said something like if she wants people to know what she has, she can do that in her own time, but that she's getting the best possible care. But he also made a comment about "making decisions" which I'll need to find and listen again. I was watching at 1am so was drifting off and not paying full attention.

That person in the car doesn't quite look like her. Kate has a narrower jawline and nose and she's lost volume around the mouth/nose. Unless she's on some medication that has caused swelling or she has had quite a lot of fillers.

Didn’t see it but read article in a telegraph. Also something about taking the time she needs as though the goldfish bowl of the job was the reason - but not sure if I have that right. He did say he’s talking to Carole & Pippa which I was surprised about.

I wonder if this is why Kate took such a long leave after the operation - I would too.

So I think the making decisions you are referring to is probably the part where Gary essentially said “I’ll only talk about it if Kate decides to make a public statement”as then he’d consider himself free to give his opinions, but if they don’t say anything publicly then his “code of etiquette”means he won’t talk about it.

I think it s pretty clear that this was all a conversation about Kate’s medical condition, but you will find plenty on twitter who think this was all code for “Kate’s getting a divorce”. Whatever floats your boat.

I do think @ToffeeTalk is allowed her opinions, surely that's the nature of a discussion forum?

I, personally, JUST MY OPINION don't think it's Kate in the car, don't bother jumping on me from a great height, been there, done it, got the T shirt

I also think there has been a furore about all of this because it hasn't been handled like in the past or like Charles has handled his cancer. So that means personally speaking I just wonder what is going on. It seems a very different situation and I just don't know what that situation is.

However, I am surprised there is no goodwill message from Kate thanking everyone for all their kindness and messages.

If I was Kate I might well be thinking: “Thanks a lot everyone. Thanks to all your unhinged speculations and ridiculous demands to see me I’ve now been papped on the school run on my own driveway when all I wanted was privacy until I’m back to health”.

Which would not make me well disposed to the idea of thanking the world for their interest. She is doubtless a better person than me, though!

Surely the nature of a discussion forum is that when someone expresses an opinion, others may ask what the basis is for that opinion? Especially when the opinion expressed would naturally lead to further questions and weirdness.

So for instance what comes to mind when you say your opinion is that it wasn’t Kate in the car, is why do you think then that the press are behaving as though they know it was her? I mean, if they know it wasn’t, but are pretending that they think it was, that takes us further down the rabbit hole doesn’t it? And that makes me weigh up the likelihood of a certain scenario being realistic. Not jumping on you, just expressing my thought patterns in the spirit of discussion.

Absolutely , why do all the media think it’s her, are they also pretending.

the idea the royal photographers and paps are all confused or in a conspiracy and a handful of mumsnetters on their phones apparently can tell better, does push the boundaries realism.

I dont think it’s a conspiracy theory but I do think there’s a mental health element to this. I could imagine why, with Uncle Gaz going on reality tv.

I also note that he was mortified the media refer to him as a commoner even though he and Carole were “millionaires by 30”. Don’t know much about the British class system but imagine aristocracy view new money and commoners as very similar.

More likely they're not talking to HIM about it because they know he can't be trusted. As if they'd tell him anything when he's going on BB 🙄

but then this is the issue - people are speculating and discussing it all, which is their right to do so. When anyone doesnt back it up, they're being pounced on, then when someone mentions what her literal uncle said, it gets dismissed! So, pps asking for evidence etc - it's pointless unless Kate herself posts or sends a video message.

I hadn't thought that far apart from the media desperately wanting it to be her because talking about it as her in the car gives clicks.
To me, and again just my opinion, I think it looks nothing like her. Just a simple opinion of mine and will profess to having read very little media about it, hence being a simple opinion!

in the car or not but what did strike me was the photo ( staged or not) was Middletons only .

I doubt the ‘royals ‘ want or will
allow another divorce . I remember reports years ago that Anne wanted a second divorce but Elizabeth wouldn’t allow it .
They don’t need to divorce - they can lead separate lives .
But if Kate wants out that’s different .
