The press has published pics of HRH with her mum in mum Audi on a
"school run." HRH was seated in the front passenger seat.

Exactly. It was hard enough having a job that had me vaguely in the public eye when I was on steroids. I couldn't recognise my own reflection. And random strangers would call me ugly and fat to my face.

I quoted this on the previous page, I think it's pretty clear that they don't want to further draw attention by issuing a formal statement but they're briefing the UK media that it's her and they shouldn't post the photos. I don't understand why this is a debate tbh.

Kensington Palace did not comment tonight but sources stressed these were paparazzi pictures that were not authorised by the palace.

I am the furthest from a conspiracy theorist it is possible be but I can’t see a statement from the palace? Care to share where it is?

Yes I was given steroids years ago and I got moon face very very rapidly and it was like my body swelled up, when I came off them it dissipated very quickly, as I wasn’t on them long.

This person has curly hair and much darker skin and doesn’t even look like Kate.

God I wish people would stop reposting that photo. I feel desperately sorry for her and the rubbernecking is horrendous. I’m on the royals board because I’d love a discussion of KP’s PR game, the ethics of paparazzi, the shades of Diana in the continued obsession with royal women, is there a future for a slimmed-down monarchy when putting a couple of them out of action means there’s no one senior to suppress randy Andy, I love a good Harry-Meghan bunfight thread of comedy gossip gold, but repeatedly posting a picture of either Kate or some other poor woman and dissecting her appearance over and over again, with barely disguised glee that someone so glamorous and constantly “on” in her appearance is up for discussion under the disguise of concern… it’s all just grotty.

I was also on steroids long term for an inflammatory condition. I was older and not in a public role but I hated the change to my appearance. ( Moon face and double chin) They did go down when the dose was reduced. People can be very unkind

You do all know that these close ups being shared are the original low resolution photos being put through online tools to create what the original might have looked like, right? Like Facetune filters the end result may not bear much resemblance to the original!

(Which also explains the missing mole by the way - it’s it’s not visible in the grainy image the filter won’t have identified it and carried it over to the constructed new image…).

Agree, we need to stop arguing about who it is. Most of us can recognise Kate, the world’s media believes it’s Kate. The palace has asked the media to respect her privacy and not print the pic, but some folks think it’s another woman with Carole on the school run, so let’s just all agree to disagree.

Again, I've posted it twice - they're taking the route of briefing via sources rather a formal statement.

Also:

• the UK press have an agreement not to publish paparazzi photos of royal family members.
• they also consider matters about the royals’ health are protected under their right to privacy.
• if the photo was of Carole and Pippa, or Carole and anybody else, the UK press would have been happy to publish it (see all the photos of Pippa and family in St Barts recently)
• the UK press have all declined to publish this picture
• QED the UK press believe that is a picture of Kate.

I’m not disagreeing with you, it’s just that a previous post said a “statement” from KP was all over the place online. It isn’t 🤷‍♀️

I'm just wondering, given all the online and elsewhere speculation going on, why Kate is out in a car just with her Mum. I wonder if the protection officers are lying down on the back seat or what? Do they follow in another car usually?

The minute I saw the pic this morning, to me it was Pippa. Maybe I just associated the sunglasses and the slightly wider jaw or something, but it did/does not look like K to me.

Either way, whoever is in that front seat doesn't look very ill to me. That doesn't mean she hasn't been through the mill either, just that the pic doesn't show someone obviously ravaged by illness. If that's Kate, that's a good thing as she looks ok.

I honestly think that's ridiculous splitting hairs. They've said it's her, just not via a press release. They do this all the time. It doesn't need letterhead for us to form the most logical conclusion.

No tabloids. Just foreign press.
