What's the deal with Andrew and Fergie?

Does anyone know? Are they a couple, or just good friends? I know they live next to each other. Doesn't Fergie have the Queen's Corgies?

Andrew looked so smug and full of it heading up that procession. He is such an arrogant tosser. If they do live in separate wings that is probably another reason he doesn't want to move to Harry's old place. I think Andrew and Fergie use each other. I don't see them as a real couple.

I agree. I noticed the body language was quite distant between them and also at Xmas. The arrangement suits them both. It’s a mutually beneficial situation and having people assume they’re a couple behind closed doors makes him seem more respectable.

Andrew needs to work with an expert in PR.
This man does not know how to read the room.

To answer the original question, I think SF moved back in with Andrew after she was declared bankrupt, or had so many debts she could not afford her own home.
To be fair to SF, she apparantly had a bad divorce settlement, and we know she tried a lot of silly ventures to earn money.
Now she has cancer, it is clear she is better in a 'supported' environment.

Fair play to Fergie. She was slung out with so little and had to do all those efforts to make money which were widely derided. Now she has a comfortable home.
Shame she has had to sell her morals for it, but it's awkward for all of them.

The late Queen was briefly corgi-less, because, for a time (around age 90?), she did not want to have dogs who might be bereaved of their owner so stopped breeding and did not replace by purchase either.

I disagree. Sex trafficking is sex trafficking. If they are of age where they have sex then they don’t become underage purely on the grounds of being trafficked. The sentencing is usually the same for sex trafficking and underage sex trafficking but the age doesn’t turn it into underage purely on the grounds of being trafficked.

I still think it's odd that Kate and William and three kids are living in a 4 bed cottage at Windsor while Andrew and Fergie have 30 room Royal Lodge.

Andrew could and should downsize for sure, but Kate and William are not exactly bereft of housing choices.

Since she was the one who dumped them on the Queen in the first place it seems only fitting that she had them dumped back . “ Hey Andy babes, what shall we give your very elderly mother who is a bit wonky on her feet? I was thinking either the latest Val McDermid or a couple of not yet housetrained puppies.”

(Nothing to do with Fergie and Andrew, but my brain's been pottering round a hypothetical case in the UK and whether the PPS would pursue an allegation from a trafficked, over-the-age-of-consent woman or not.)

Definitely to do with Andrew - I think Prince Philip was his father. Andrew is plumper than the others, but if I watch the facial expressions and mannerisms of the four children of the late Queen I think they all share some with their parents.

yes agreed, he is stupid, arrogant and very entitled. He will know what people say and think about his family when he appears, and he doesn't seem to care he is making it worse for everyone else.

I think Andrew and Fergie have always been together and just divorced because they were made to. They're definitely a couple and she has been enjoying a very privileged life in a huge mansion at our expense for years, while having to do no work for it.

I've read that he's horrible, entitled and smug, but I've never seen anything suggesting that she's frightened of him. Where did you see that? AFAIK, they're very fond of one another and I think if he hadn't been royal they'd have probably stayed married and had an on/off/open relationship.

I mean that there was press reporting and it seems obvious that Charles did want Royal Lodge back but Andrew doesn't want to leave. That could be a sticky wicket depending on how much cash of his own Andrew has. If he needs Charles to support him he can't afford to get cut off. I suspect he's driving a hard bargain so he, Fergie, his kids and his grandkids are set for life. And that William and Kate are waiting in the cottage (which is their only home near the kids' school) till the deal with Andrew is done.

No, of course it isn't. It was built for a queen: Adelaide, the wife of William IV. And supposedly the main bedroom has gilded dolphins painted on the ceiling.

How weird that page after page on Google says they do own the cottage and it was left to William by the QM. Very many different publications saying this
