I just read an article in the DM about this. I really honestly couldn't believe he would do this. I just hope it isn't true. Just how could he. Privacy????.

I saw this too. So disgusted. On the news it showed him being filmed and he said the conversation with his father will stay with him. Now I'm thinking did he say that as he wants to monetise speaking about it later?

He's just a big shallow name dropper. Yes we all know KC is his df but we also all know Harry is practically exiled. To pretend he jetted over as he's such a vip without mentioning any regret for the hurt he has caused his df stinks.

I find it hard to believe he would capitalise on his father’s illness tbh. Even with the things they have spoken about in the past, I think they would draw the line at that surely?

He hasn't. The interview is written up on the BBC website. He has answered the questions (which any reasonable journalist would ask) about his father politely and with a minimum of detail.

Samcro · 16/02/2024 15:45

looks like he didn't say anything......

I haven't read all through this thread but I have just watched an interview with Harry. It seemed to me that he answered politely and didn't make an issue of anything, in the same way that I see other people in other walks of life being polite, sometimes when they are being asked fairly prat questions by interviewers. I didn't think this interviewer was asking daft questions, for the record. Harry didn't reveal any terribly private secrets about the King in the clip which I saw.

Yes I thought as much. Polite answers.

No. Just pointing out that claiming the Royals should be treated specially just because they are a "family" is meaningless. They are not nice people.

Harry has a wife and children, ie a family too. He lost his mother and was left with an adulterous father who favoured his brother.

According to you..you think they are not nice people....you think his father favoured his brother. You think its "special treatment" to extend them the basic courtesy of remembering there is a human family being used as a punch bag for the last several years because that petulant vile little man and his wife won't stop slagging them off at every opportunity....fortunately I don't care what you think. Its disgusting and dehumanising. I don't think you are a nice person either....I won't be engaging with you further.

Except that William was not at all close to his father. That was always Harry. William was closer to his mother, and he lost her too.

"polite answers"
I'm going to say that's an expectation of an adult man in the public eye.

Of course he wasn't going to drop private medical details 🙄, even he surely wouldn't do that but after attacking his family constantly it is so totally inappropriate to gush about reunifying and loving his family. He is a massive bellend as Mike Tindall wisely said.

LifeExperience · 16/02/2024 15:50

Harry said he has considered pursuing American citizenship.

Exactly. If he had a grain of sense or compassion he would say sorry but questions about the King are a total no no. Under the circumstances any questions about the Kings health should be off limits. It's up to Charles to issue a statement on how he is doing if he so wishes. Not up to Harry.

We don't know though that that isn't what was said do we, this could just be a media organisation trying to whip up a frenzy to get people to watch the interview. Until you see what he says (or doesn't say) perhaps it is best to reserve judgement.

Well actions speak louder than words! so blabbing non stop about private details, whilst wanging on about others blabbing about his private details is all a bit contrary and not the actions of anyone wanting unification and 'love'.

He just needs the US to be reminded of his royalness. Its all he's got to offer.

I think that ship sailed 13 months ago. He may love them but no one can think he honestly likes them after reading spare.

Maybe. I was accused of not respecting Charles & co as they were a family, apparently being damaged by the actions of Harry & co. Yet they are also a family. I gave the only information I have of any likely familial damage, not being a Royal watcher.

GETTINGLIKEMYMOTHER · 16/02/2024 16:00

Anything for publicity. It’s pretty much a given now, that most Americans are sick to death of him and Meghan and their ‘poor us’ whining, so I dare say he sees Charles’ illness as a golden opportunity to stay in the public eye.

So a big fuss about nothing in other words!

Moral of the story: never read the Daily Mail!

Well of course he might just be meaning Meghan & the kids...

Daisyislazy · 16/02/2024 16:00

Surely it will just be " my father if doing well, thank you"

When they launched the new website i realised with a sinking feeling that these two aren't going to go away. I think they have some sort of negative addiction to the press.

I think it was Good Morning America who did the cheesy chat. DM just repeating what he said.

Or GMA, the source of the story, or the BBC, Guardian, Independent, and every major news outlet who reported exactly the same thing.

He doesn't love them - not by any decent person's definition of love.
