Indifference to PoW?

I find it strange that there’s no real interest or concern from the public about POW being in hospital. Nobody seems to be that bothered. If you compare it to the circus if Diana had been in the same situation….. I just find it odd. I always thought she was relatively popular because we’re constantly told she is but actually…. Tumbleweed.

I know it’s her own business etc but it just feels quite odd that somebody can disappear and there is no interest in why. I don’t really know or care what’s happened or why, but the silence is really intriguing. It reminds me of when the brexit referendum happened and I had no idea that there was such strong feeling about the EU…. I had no idea that there was such apathy about the PoW until now. It’s been a real eye opener for me.

I reckon the next generation or two, the monarchy will be gone.

Not that easy to read but morning sickness has nothing to do with William tbf. And two posts on a single day about Kate looking uncomfortable with William at a time when she had indeed looked uncomfortable is hardly a lot of posts. They've certainly made an effort to look more touchy and smiley since then. Was that around the time she pushed him away and there was a lot of comment about it?

Perfectly happy to admit to that. Since the ludicrous attempts to whitewash William yes. Because that's what it is. The Palace spinning yet again. And that's the problem. I'm utterly consistent on that - this is just one example.

The only person who would have cause for complaint IF he had an affair is Catherine. And IF so entirely up to her about whether to publicise her complaint.

As she hasn't - nothing to whitewash. Either he hasn't (and no evidence he has), or he has but they have worked it through and stayed together.

Obviously there was a need to whitewash and sit on the press as soon as these rumours gained traction a few years back.

But as I say, it's just one example (and quite an old one now) of press manipulation. Social media is much more tricksy for them to handle.

I rarely posted on the rf board until recently. But it's quite funny as a non fan of this particular rf to see just how mad things can get. And how polarised and black and white.

Cloud9isnowclosed I had to do an Advanced Search on myself to see what I had actually posted and when. I see that I did first post in 2019 but the only time that I've been a frequent poster on this board is since the George Going To Malborough thread (the only time I've ever joined a discussion about the kids' education which was - clue in the title! - the subject of the thread.... Never discussed it before nor have I ever initiated a discussion about it myself). I've also joined in the threads about Kate's hospitalisation recently. I've also certainly weighed in when other people have started threads which discuss William's affair. I made a passing reference to it on this thread too. I'm very far from consistent in my posting though - there's just been a slew of posts lately (since December 2023/ the George Going To Malborough thread). If not joining in at the fashion end or the slagging off Harry and Meghan end of the rf board makes me sad, so be it.

Playingintheshadow maybe people do change usernames, I don't. Simples. Happy for the people who can verify that to verify it but as you say, they've probably got better things to do. I'm still not sure that accusations like that are within the guidelines though, since they imply a level of slyness and a lack of being straight (I'm aware that some people may do it to prevent being identified but that wasn't the implication here).

Anyhow I'll try to leave these threads to revolve on their own, because really it's an echo chamber of two polarised sides saying the same old things.

Why do you find it strange? I don't know her - why would I care if she's in hospital or not? 🤷‍♀️
